The lake, along with Lake Valor and Lake Acuity, is tied to the myth of the creation of the Pokémon world, specifically the creation of spirit.
One of the great lakes of Sinnoh, located near the southwestern part of the region. Due to its isolated location, it is a nice, quiet getaway from the busy other areas of the region. Locals travel here often for a pleasant day out.
Reports come sometimes of a presence that seems to shimmer above the lake's surface every now and again.

"Wow!! It's so pretty!" No wonder Lake Verity and the other two lakes were so popular. They were so clean and pure. Sarah watched as Stevie jumped down from her shoulder and waddled towards the water. He didn't jump into it. Instead, the Piplup laid on the bank and splashed his wings in the water playfully. Sarah laughed a bit and let Muzét go join him. There are so many Starly and Bidoof. They don't seem to want to come play, though. I guess it's understandable."Sarah." The strawberry blonde jumped and turned, giving a cough as if hoping to appear calming. "Julio? What are you doing here?""Your uncle sent me. He has something to give to you. Here." Julio held out a red Pokéball with both his hands, which Sarah recognized as a Cherish Ball, and Sarah took it from the Gardevoir. "Callum would like you to take care of him. He's yours now.""Him?...Okay....Tell Uncle I say hi and I'm doing just fine." Julio bowed to her before he turned and left. She couldn't believe Julio came all the way from Celestic just to deliver a Pokémon. Letting the mystery Pokémon out, Sarah's eyes widened and she squealed. A special Sylveon, and he was gorgeous! So pink! "So....It says Uncle named you Aaron? Okay, then! It's great to meet you, Aaron!""Syl."

As Sarah watched Stevie play, Muzét watching him curiously and Aaron just grazing in the grass, she stopped watching them when she noticed something sticking out of the water. Standing, she went over to the bank and knelt, staring at the two antenna. Suddenly, the water broke and a soaking Flygon flew out of the lake. Sarah let out a scream and backed over, Muzét running over to hide behind Stevie. Sarah breathed heavily until she noticed Flygon laughing. Cheeks puffing, Sarah stood and patted herself off before glaring at the Ground-Dragon dual type. "Not funny! You could have given Ralts a heart attack, missy! Apologize to my Muzét right now!" The Flygon looked surprised before she suddenly grew sad. Walking over to Stevie and Muzét, Flygon knelt to look at the little Ralts. "Flygon...." Sarah continued to glare at Flygon until she apologized, and then the strawberry blonde smiled softly. "You're forgiven. Don't be so mischevious next time. It could be a mean trainer." Flygon looked at Sarah before she beamed at the trainer and then tackled her, nuzzling Sarah's cheek affectionately. Flygon then hopped off and sat in front of Sarah like a dog. "You...want to come with me?""Fly~!" Sarah gave a happy smile before getting out a ball and watching Flygon catch herself. That was easy!

After letting Flygon - Sephie - back out to play, Sarah went over and knelt in front of Muzét. She hadn't gone back to the bank to watch Stevie play again. "Don't worry, Muzét. Sephie didn't want to hurt us. She just wanted to play." Muzét looked up at Sarah and tilted her head a bit. She realized the Ralts hadn't been scared. She'd been surprised and was now being cautious. "...Don't you want to play with Stevie again? Maybe he can teach you how to swim. I bet that'll be fun." She wouldn't know, though. Her father didn't get the chance to teach her how to swim, and her uncle couldn't swim either. So, it would be one skill Sarah's team would have that she didn't. "Huh?...Oh! Starly! Stevie, quick! Don't let it get away!" Stevie jumped up and then ran over to confront the Starly, who had no intent of running. "Yes! Our first battle together!""Piplup!"

Sarah returned to sitting on the grass as Stevie now swam in the water, Muzét still watching him. She couldn't tell if the Ralts wanted to swim, too, or not. Aaron was now being chased by Sephie, but only the Flygon was enjoying it. Aaron seemed to be trying to get away from her, and it made Sarah smile at them.

Arezu blinked awake, momentarily confused when she found herself surrounded by darkness until she remembered the events of the past day. She groaned, back aching from the night spent sleeping on the curved surface below her. Hakuren shifted on her stomach, awoken by her movement.
Arezu reached for the wall and its sides parted like ribbons. She poked her head through and was immediately buffeted by surging winds. Hakuren poked his head out moments later, warming her chin with the furry tuft atop his head. "Still running, is she?" Far below, a black streak sprinted across open fields. They watched as it disappeared into the forest below. "We're coming up on a Lake. Not sure which one," Arezu commented, looking ahead. Curiosity satisfied, she craned her neck to thank Tanjoubi, the Drifblim carrying them in its tassled arms, then retreated back into the warmth he created by twisting his arms together.

Yesterday afternoon, Shiisa had taken off suddenly and inexplicably, cutting Arezu's visit to her hometown of Crown City incredibly short. Arezu had enlisted help from Tanjoubi to follow after the arcanine from the sky. Though Shiisa was fast, travel in the air was remarkably swifter than on the ground. Tanjoubi managed to keep pace. They nearly lost her in the night, her black pelt blending into the darkness far below. Hakuren had the smarts to instruct Arezu to release Kovu to fly beside them and lead the way.
Sure enough, the bat had an easy enough time seeing in the dark. Arezu had watched the land roll below them for a long time, but after night fell she curled up with Hakuren to sleep.
