This is where anyone can RP their pae coming to claim any of the salvaged goods from the destroyed Head Quarters building. This thread will be locked when the goods are gone and the debris is cleaned up.

Quote:
ALERT! ALERT! ALERT!

The weather has been mysteriously calm for a year now. The normal tropical monsoon that hits in the summer did not even show hints of coming near Telrunya. Clouds have been spotted several miles off the shore, but they are mysteriously swirving around the island.

Due to lack of rain and snow in the mountains, the weather fairies fear the island may see signs of drought come spring. It is advised for all Pae'il to take the proper precautions for this upcoming planting season, and prepare for the forecasted lack of moisture in order to reduce crop and animal losses.

Clean-up on the HQ has been a long process due to the nature of the building being "bigger on the inside" it turns out all the material from inside has come outside. It is taking longer than usual, and the Construction Fairies in charge of building the Trading Post and Port have all the material they need, so if any Pae'il is in need of building material, the fairies have opened up the grounds for all. There are also some rare items available to any willing to come pick them up.

Among the items salvaged:
  • Many costumes from the endless costume closet. Also, could serve as raw material for those crafy Pae'il.
  • Furniture - various chairs, beds and nightstands from the many rooms. Most in good condition, some ripped with holes, but a skilled Pae'il could repair the damage.
  • Lamps - the fairies have no way of testing these unless they drag them back to Telrunya City, but they'd rather just get rid of them.
  • Miscellaneous electronics - again, no way to test these, and they'd only be useful for Pae'il who have secured an electricity source, but they could be useful for other things. Items include a blender, toaster, a couple of coffee makers, telephones, various computer components, a few hair dryers, and surprisingly, the big-screen TV survived the hurricane without breaking. Take note: Telrunya does not have broadcasting, so a TV would be mostly useless in it's current form, however, it could be disassembled and used for other things.
  • Bedding - pillows, blankets. Any not claimed will be taken to Telrunya City and added to the emergency resource kits.
  • Shelving units, cabinets, doors, porceline sinks and bathtubs
  • Plumbing pipes - could be melted down or used for intended purposes
  • Various tools - hammers, screwdrivers, shovels, rakes, etc. Come see what's there.
  • Salvaged products include many small bottles of shampoo, lotion and other personal grooming products (including hairbrushes and combs) that were located in a storage room that seemed to not be destroyed. Leftovers will be sent to Fallassion House of Healing.
  • Batteries - many sizes, also found in that storage room.
  • 5 generators - first come first serve. They work, however they have very low fuel. Could be adapted to use alternate fuel sources by resourceful Pae'il
  • Kitchen utensils
  • Wires and switches
  • Various shapes and sizes of mirrors

Remember, it's all first-come, first-served, and it won't be there forever. The fairies plan to dispose of unclaimed items. Other salvaged items, such as books and seeds have already been take care of. There is also a lot of lumber and stone for those seeking more material for their building projects.

((RP Notes: This is a chance for Pae'il who have lived without certain things to come claim some. Also listed are items specifically used as raw materials for other crafts and products to help get Pae'il started. ))

Phiona had heard about the supplies the fairies had salvaged from the HQ. She had been forcing herself to remember where she was supposed to go, and what she had been going to get. It had taken her all day to get to the trading post. She'd gotten distracted entirely along the way at a few trees, a couple of plants. The faun was close. She grinned as the little fae had come into sight.

Without much hesitation, Fi strolled right up to the ones adding things to the growing mound of supplies salvaged from the HQ. She needed some of this stuff. It would be perfect to help her shop out.

"Excuse me..." She started, eyes on several of the large things. It took her a moment to catch their attention, but finally one of them was talking to her.

"Excuse me, I need to pick up some of the stuff here." The female grinned. "A couple of sewing machines, one of those generators, all the fabric you can part with, a couple of lamps, some of the furniture, several mirrors... Oh, and a few tools, wires, and shelves. Oh! Before I forget, a few seedlings, to cheer up the area around the tree. And a hair dryer, a bathtub, some of those costumes..." Her list kept going on and on for quite some time. All in all, she'd gotten quite a haul from the fairies here at the trading post. Her grin turned into a smile as some of the fairies looked at her with shock. She knew what she wanted, and she knew what she needed. There were some things she had taken from the Tiki Bar, and there was much yet that she still needed for her shop.

One of the fairies asked her how she planned on carrying all that, and the orange female just smiled. She'd brought along a cart with a couple more faun to help her haul it all back. She wasn't the only one who needed supplies from this. They had all agreed that she needed the help, and she'd told them that they could have an outfit or something for free for their help.

(( So OOC list of what Phiona Asumi is taking

1 Generator, Lamps, Furniture, Sewing Machines, Pins and Needles, Pillows, Fabrics, Costumes, Hair Brushes, Combs, a bathtub, seedlings, shelves, Mirrors, Wires, Hair Dryers, Pipes, and anything else that she may need for her Boutique.))

Pelagious was already rummaging through the pile of stuff. Every now and then, when he would come across some pipes or hair maintenance products, he would grab them, stuffing into his already loaded cart. Looking over the large list he had brought, he checked the various things he had managed to shove in wheeled carriage off of the list.

Double checking his supplies, he sighed when he realized he forgot a few things. Going back into the pile, he threw a few more things into the wagon before heading out. The mellons gave him a curious look when he exited, one going so far as to stop him and ask him why he took what he took.

Pelagious gave him a lecherous grin and replied "I gotta make my bachelor pad, man." After a few snerks and couple more questions, he exited, happily trying to move his weighted cart along.

((List: 1 generator, quite a bit of pipes and tools, a couple lamps, a bed, some sheetings/pillows and curtains, a LOT of hair supplies, including a hairdryer, a few of the other bath supplies, a bathtub, 5 doors, 6 shelving units, some of the wires and switches ,7 small mirrors and 2 very large ones, a crapload of batteries, a toaster, some chairs, some costumes and sewing supplies, some seeds. ))

"Come on Enki...I can't carry this by myself...And it's only to the cart!" Thaddeus barked at his boy who wasn't really trying.

Enki groaned as he finally helped his dad get one of the remaining generators in their cart. "Why do we even need a generator? Come on pop's this is boring...Does dad know you're here?'

"We'll figure something out for it...Come on, grab those pillows over there. We just need a few more things." Thaddeus paused as Enki asked if Nama knew about this. "No..He doesn't...Which is why it's a surprise.." Thaddeus mumbled as he gathered up some cloth and some kitchen utensils.

Enki grinned widely. "Trying to impress dad hey pops?" Enki grabbed one of the pillows and smacked Thaddeus across the face with it.

"Ooof! Enki stop kidding around! And no that's not why I'm doing this!" Thaddeus fumed as he lied to himself. "Your dad has just been really good to me so I'm trying to make it up to him...." He grabbed some blankets, looking them over and muttering. "These would be good in the winter time.."

Enki rolled his eyes. "Your girly parts are showing pops!" This got Enki a huge glare for Thaddeus as the boy warndered over to another pile and picked up some brushes, shampoos and lotions. "Hey pops you think Selah would like these? Oh and a mirror! I'll grab a mirror for her!"

Thaddeus smiled as Enki finally got into this. "Grab three...You never know when we'll...need...them!" Thaddeus grunted as he picked up some beds, struggling as he got them onto of the cart. "These are heavy." Thaddeus sighed before blinking as he boy rain passed with a stack of doors on his back and a packet of seeds on top of said doors. "Don't hurt yourself Enki...You think that's everything?"

"For now pops...Selah might send up back for more things."

"Stop calling me pops...."

((List: 1 generator, some pipes, some lamps, 4 beds, a few sets of sheets/pillows/blankets, some fabric, some chairs and nightstands, 4 doors, some seeds, some kitchen utensils, 3 mirrors, a few hairbrushes, combs, lotion, and shampoo bottles and some of the various tools ))

"Eeee!" A glee-filled shriek marked the bouncing Fae's discovery among the salvaged 'treasures'. A working generator! Imagine! Sure, the fuel was limited, but the generator itself was a wealth of knowledge. If they could take it apart, figure out how it worked, surely Cosworth could help come up with an alternative power source! With another squeal of happiness, she bound over to the device before anyone else could claim it, bouncing up with a whirr of wings to perch on top of it. "Mine!"

Chanting a chorus of 'mine's and bouncing back and forth, it suddenly occurred to her that she had no idea how she was going to get this all the way to the other side of the Isle, back to Cosworth's home. Hmm. Her posture deflated a bit, slumping over the generator. Eh, she'd have to figure something out. Flagging down one of the lingering Mellons, she got some help putting a makeshift 'sign' on the generator claiming it as hers while she picked up a few more things and figured out how she was going to get it out of here.

She skipped over most of the clothing and luxury things, pausing only to pick up a few new bracelets and bangles that caught her eye. She still hadn't quite fixed the one that she damaged when meeting her Mellon. It just would not go back to its original shape, but she'd keep trying. Then, she found more practical things to salvage. Some old plumbing pipes became her new prize, right after the generator for Cosworth. It was perfect! Where else was she going to get metals to work with? Perhaps the inventor Faun would need some as well, so she loaded up all the pipes she could find, then stacked them by the generator. A couple hammers and screwdrivers, and a few other scattered tools were gathered and added to the pile, along with a few wires, batteries, and other odd bits of things she wasn't entirely sure what she might do with, but was sure would have a use in an experiment one day.

After a short pause of deliberation, she added a small hand mirror to the pile. Whispering to a nearby Mellon to 'watch her stuff' for her, she zipped off with a whirr of her wings to find a cart to load her new prizes in. Maybe some help in pulling it now that she thought about it. Hmm...well, it'd all be worth it!

(Summary: 1 generator, lots of plumbing pipes, some wires, switches, batteries, hammers, screwdrivers, other tools, a mirror, and some bracelets/bangles.)

Greedy, greedy, greedy...

Criofan had always been that way, really. To anyone who knew him, it was in no way any kind of surprise. His daughter knew that, too, giggling at the look on his face as he wandered near the building with one of his prior collected carts, tilting her head and asking, very boldly, "How much do you plan on taking?"

Honestly, Criofan wasn't totally certain at the moment, but he certainly knew he was at least filling up his cart and Zaria's as well. He had tried to convince Texas to come with, but seeing as Texas still had his old house from before the storm--working generator included--there was no real convincing him to come along. It'll be a bloody mess, murmured Texas, shaking his head. Too many people grabbing and climbing over each other for what is left. If you see anything you think I need, grab it, but I think we're doing better than some of those on the lands anyway. Our house contains many of the items that place does I'm positive--

Criofan was pretty sure he had said something else afterwards, but honestly, the golden fae had stopped paying attention long before the man finished talking. Kind as he was, he didn't know how to shut up. He was pretty sure mediating between the arguments of Ignatius and Mikasi had only made the situation worse. What a pain in the a**.

The first things Criofan were drawn to were the shiniest, grinning as he saw some of the mirrors that were lying on the ground. He took a few, mostly the ones that had incurred the least damage, and placed those in the care of Zaria--though any sanity would have told him that was probably an awful idea. Next came any remaining jewelry that he could see from the costume collection, as well as some relatively fancy clothing--he grabbed some extra in case the weirdos over at Texas' house might want it...

Was that a... was that a television? He doubted it would actually matter because it wasn't like there was any television stations remaining, but maybe someone had a movie player somewhere. Like the weakling he was, he struggled to pick it up, but eventually he got it in his cart. Next came a toaster, then a lamp or two, some kitchen supplies, then two of the telephones--some communication would be nice if they could figure out how to set up some lines...

"Criodaddy, where are we fitting the rest of this?" whined Zaria, her arms full. He rolled his eyes and motioned for her to dump what she was holding in the bottom of his cart and work on filling up her own.

For Zaria's part, she went for some bedding, and dragged two beds that looked like they were in reasonable condition away for them to drag off later. She stacked four chairs on top, because that was enough for any amount of guests they would entertain. Maybe she should try to get some more later...

"Is that a bathtub? We could use a new one..."

"Zaria, how are we going to drag that off?"

"We'll come back for it a bit later!" insisted Zaria, throwing her last small item into her cart, before working on pulling what she claimed off to the side. "Trust me! You'll appreciate this bed later!"

"...This is going to be a long day..."

[[ OOC: Criofan and Zaria have taken as follows:
1 Big Screen TV, 2 Beds, 6 Chairs, Bedding, Bathtub, Sink, Cabinets, 2 Lamps, Toaster, Kitchen Utensils, 2 Telephones, Clothing, Jewelry, Batteries, Set of Tools, Several Shiny Mirrors ]]

Ei-Kal surveyed the massive amount of objects before him. Surely, it had been a great disaster, and he had a bit of repair work to do. However... a lot of this would be fairly useless. Either that, or he didn't have the space or manpower to carry it. He had his son, Kheliot, with him, and Criofan was around somewhere, but overall... not a whole lot to work with. But with all of the others around, also grabbing things, they had to move fast if they were going to get what they needed.

The generator was the very, very first thing that Ei-Kal had Kheliot put in the cart. Even if they were low on fuel, Ei-Kal would rather have to worry about fuel than something to put the fuel in. On top of the generator went blankets, and other fabric, on top of that, some wood and smaller items of furniture like bookshelves. He motioned, and Kheliot came back in short order with other things his father directed him to. They both moved quickly, Kheliot pulling the cart while Ei-Kal pushed a large wheelbarrow. They filled them both with things they figured they'd need or that it wouldn't hurt to have around. Things like the three armloads of mirrors might seem silly, but they had their purpose. As did the coffee pot that Kheliot was very careful to pick up.

Into the cart also went some of the raw lumber and stone that they stumbled on, figuring that it wouldn't hurt for that to come along, either. Ei-Kal was very careful in stacking it, making sure that space was utilised in the utmost efficiency, and that it was a stable stacking job. No use getting everything if it only fell out and shattered on the ground. Some of the blankets were spread out over their gathering in intervals, to help stabilise it. Sheets were tied into makeshift ropes to keep things from moving too much.

It wasn't easy to gather everything that the two of them had pinpointed as potentially or incredibly and immediately useful, but they managed, Ei-Kal glancing over at Criofan and Zaria on occasion to see how they were doing. But they seemed to be doing alright, so he went back to concentrating on making sure he and Kheliot got everything they needed. Some things were in very limited supply. While Ei-Kal was not a greedy individual... sometimes one and one's own had to come first. Once they had everything, though, he gestured to Kheliot to pull their cargo towards Criofan and Zaria, to see if they needed any assistance. Kheliot groaned and struggled a bit with the cart, but eventually got it moving. The silvery pae breathed a sigh of relief.

Time to get everything going.

...After Kheliot grabbed one of the single beds to replace his broken one. Alright Kheliot. At least it fit.

((Summary of what Ei-Kal and Kheliot grabbed: generator, batteries, wires and switches, bedding, kitchen utensils, coffee maker, blender, tools, plumbing pipes, shelving, some fabric/clothing, personal grooming, plethora of mirrors, some of the lumber and stone, and a single bed. ))

Pelagious grinned at the mellons as he made his way back into the salvage yard, his cart now empty. He had dropped off his stuff at his new housing location and had realized he had gotten everyting but some building materials. Feeling somewhat like a ditz, he trudged over to the smaller pile and began loading his cart with lumber and stones and more plumber's piping.

When he had stacked, organized, and stacked his stuff some more, he wandered over and began digging through the other piles. Collecting what he figured the others would consider trash, he loaded his arms up with broken mirror pieces and returned to the cart.

Deciding that his plans would prolly require more wiring, he grabbed some of that as well. As well as a few computer parts and another toaster. This time he grabbed a few more cabinents from the kitchen supplies as well. He added a sink into his supplies as well. He would rather not need it than want it and not have it.

He was almost out of the door when he saw a feather boa, tucked down under a pile of clothes. Grabbing the hot pink and white monstrosity, he wrapped it around his neck and contiued his struggle to the door.

((last time. Swear! lol List: Some lumber and stone, more plumbers pipes, computer parts and wiring, another toaster, cabinents, a sink, broken mirrors, a flamingo feathered boa, some large vases, screws and nuts and bolts, and other such things))

Tocino hurried along. The pae ere all sleeping. As it were, most of the mellons were as well. He snuck past the sleeping beasts with nary a ruffled wing. Quickly, he grabbed what was needed. Each armload, hastily grabbbed, was quietly plopped down in the small cart the mellons had waiting near the door.

When he had finished, he scribbled a note and left it laying on the nearest mellons head. With that he crept away, carrying his load with him. Silently and obliviously to those around him.

((1 large bookshelve, 1 door, roughly same size as the bookshelve, lumber and stones, kitchen utensils/pots and pans/metal mixing bowls, bottles and colored glass, rope and twine, bed, sheets, some really bright and tacky curtains, a small down comforter, 3 small window boxes.))

Atlantis looked around at what was still there and since he now apparently had to make a house on land and, preferably, by the sea or not far from it, so he looked over the stuff and found three beds that seemed to be in reasonable condition, a few nightstands, 5 large doors, a couple of hammers, a couple of screwdrivers, a bathtub, a couple of shelving units, 3 cabinets, two sinks, several different female costumes, three mirrors and some bedding and after looking through the electronics and generators he decided to leave it, he barely knew what to do with a house on land and basic shelving etc let alone any of the more major stuff like coffee makers and what not and so he also grabbed some kitchen utensils and several different sizes and lengths of wood and started to think how he was going to get all of this back to where he was going to be making a home.

((So, just to give you a proper list.

5 Large doors
3 Beds
2 Hammers
2 Screwdrivers
1 Bathtub
Some bedding (3 pillows and 6 blankets)
Several female costumes
3 mirrors (couple of medium sized ones and one large one)
2 Shelving units
2 Sinks
3 Cabinets
3 Forks
3 teaspoons
3 knives
3 tablespoons
3 dessert spoons
Several different sizes and lengths of wood))

Tafari walked around the bites and pieces of what was left, looking through the mirrors and costumes and shelving units etc and then stopped by the tools and picked up a hammer, screwdriver, saw and a crowbar before looking through the other bits and pieces that went along with them like three extra saw blades, a couple of boxes of different sized nails, a couple of boxes of different sized screws and just took one more screwdriver for good measure and several sheets of sandpaper before taking a look at anything else but decided to pass and just took some wood with him instead and started to figure how to get this stuff home.

So total list:

Two screwdrives
Wood
Sandpaper
Hammer
2 Boxes of Nails
2 Boxes of screws

Big Mac pulled his Rarity's trusted cart up along the path. He'd spent a good day or two (maybe even three?) retracing his steps back the way he had came to find the abandoned and demolished HQ. They had passed it in their venture here from Equestria and Big Mac had remembered seeing a few useful things from the path on their journey. He made a mental note to come back here once he was ready to rebuild the farm. With their new cousins living in a tree and all, he assumed it was a bad omen to start chopping down trees for wood to build a barn and farmhouse...

Coming around the bend, he made a gentle sigh of relief, pulling a bit of cloth from his overall pockets to wipe the sweat from his brow. He'd found it. And by the looks of it, he wasn't alone. He kept his distance, however, and set to work, gathering supplies and adding them to his cart. His main goal was to gather some lumber and other various building materials, but the more he rummaged, the more things he found that he just couldn't give up.

He found some bedding. A few pillows, sheets and blankets that looked... well, in questionable condition, but with a little TLC, he could fix them up as good as new! Some of the furniture looked comfy, if needing a bit of work, but he bypassed them. The space in his cart was limited and he needed the essentials.

He gathered as much of the wood planks as he could, stacking them tightly so he could fit more than he was sure he needed. If necessary, he made a note to make a second trip for more and then set to grabbing a few other miscellaneous bits. He found some tools: A Hammer, a couple of shovels, rakes, hoes and some bits of metal he could easily create a new plow with. Some of the plumbing pipes could come in handy for a project soon to come, so he grabbed some of those as well.

He then spotted some nails and went on a detailed scavenge search for plenty more. He'd need a lot of them if he were to build a barn AND a farmhouse. He found a bucket or two in the rubble and used them to carry the nails he found

Last, he tossed on a few of the clothing from the costumes strewn about. He made sure to grab a few with large pieces of fabric used and mostly solid colors.

Once that was done, he went on to search for some rope, but settled with some wiring when he couldn't find any. He used it to tie all the claimed goods down onto his cart to safely make the journey back without the risk of losing something.

He stepped back to look at his cart and silently patted himself on the back for a job well done. He steadied himself at the lead of the cart and lifted, calling upon his newly discovered powers to aid him in the effort. His goal was to try and get as close to the lake shore as he could before nightfall. The sooner he got back home and used these gathered resources, the sooner he'd know if he needed to come back or not.

Big Mac claimed:
    Loooots of lumber
    Scrap bits/pieces/chunks of metal
    2 Shovels
    2 Rakes
    2 Hoes
    1 Hammer
2+ Buckets of Nails (the + is the extra nails that didn't fit in the buckets XD)
    4 Pillows
    4 Sheet Sets
    4 Blankets
    Some Piping
At least 8 articles of clothing (I'm thinking big fancy dresses with looots of fabric and solid colors.
Aaaand a few hundred feet of Wiring.

It has been many years since any have visited this place. That much was clear to Vynnris as he followed the old trail. No recent footprints were left in the ground and the air itself seemed undisturbed. The local flora grew without restraint and the fauna seemed calm with his presence.

Though many ages have passed Vynnris has heard legends of the old HQ. Following up on rumors after rumors, he eventually stumbled his way onto the ruins. It had been a long and hard journey, but one he had dreamed of making. For Vynnris, it was a pilgrimage to where things began. Though it was clear that most items were taken, digging through the rubble produced the one thing he had always dreamed of owning.

A single small mirror, tarnished with age and a crack running from top to side. It was no bigger than his closed fist and quite simple in design. With a little bit of cleaning it may work again. Though it seemed much else had vanished he held onto this small treasure with hope. It was a relic of a bygone area, a piece of history meant to be treasured. Knowing that the rumors he followed held true, he left the rest of the emptiness alone and searched no further.

It was clear none had been here in many years, and as such he believed the earth should be left as it was. If that was not possible, a gift must be replaced with a gift of his own. Greed would only do more harm than good. With the beliefs in his heart, Vynnris left the only item on his possession besides his meager clothing. Left in the place that had once held the mirror was a single seed. A gift to those whom had left him such a priceless item.

With hope in his eyes and a feeling of warmth in his heart, Vynnris knew what he had dreamed of may finally become a reality. And this mirror? It was just the start on his journey to collect and record Pae history.
