Elijah is an Australian Aboriginal, though she is not as dark skinned as her family (mainly because her grandmother is a British-Australian with fair skin and her grandfather a pure Aboriginal). She knows a lot about her people's customs, and is proud to be Australian and an Aboriginal. Ever since she was little, she always went to the drive-in theater with her two older brothers and younger sister to watch the old movies for entertainment. From that time on she wanted to be an actress, be the one in the movie, and has since pursued that dream. Her parents weren't poor, but their town had little to do, so when she graduated from school she moved to Sydney on her own. She did a TAFE course in drama and eventually moved to the USA when she was given a scholarship to the College from her TAFE.     All morning, bus after bus dropped students off at a Drama College on the outskirts of Chicago. Many students were loitering outside the Dorm Buildings, were a lovely garden and park-like area was, but others walked inside to find their rooms. On each room were slips of papers with names on them; 2 to a room. The halls were packed with students talking loudly and shouting over one another, which made it hard to barge past. Elijah Kamdyn, an Australian-Aboriginal girl, walked into Dorm 1 as quickly as she could and started unpacking. Her Dorm partner wasn't there yet, so Elijah took the bed closer to the window, with the nice view of the garden, and put her clothes in the wardrobe on her side of the room. Adiemus "Andy" Cameron and Ezekial Cross had become friends on the bus they'd been on for a while. They're bus had come all the way from the Chicago Airport; Andy had come from Alaska and Ezekial from Canada. They didn't share a Dorm Room, but walked into the Dorm Building together before splitting up. Both had to take the other bed and wardrobe in their room after noticing their room-mate already moved in. Noelanie Parker, Dana Lebrowsky, and Dennis Little got out of their cars driven by family members and walked into the Dorm Building after saying their goodbyes. Dana (the German girl), Noelanie (the British girl), and Dennis (the American boy) were one of the last to arrive, but not the last to move into their rooms. |

OoC: eek I couldn't read a single word of Eden's words! I think thistle isn't the best color. Maybe "darkgoldenrod" would be better?
"Nice to meet you Eden. You're accent, Californian? I'm from Germany, from Munich." Dana said, waving briskly. Though Eden was almost done unpacking, Dana was catching up rather quickly. She'd organised everything to be able to put away quickly; all her shirts in one pile, pants in another, etc etc. "Do you know what play is first? I think it's Romeo and Juliet, but I'm not sure." she said, after a moment, and put her shoes in the bottom part of the wardrobe in the free-space beside her luggage bags. |

OoC: Not really important, but I'll just remind you any ways, I added more pictures about the school. It's in the "DORMS" section.
"My favorite of all the Shakespearean plays is 'The Merchant of Venice'. A truly wonderful story, filled with problems we still face today as a society; religious disputes, mostly. Shylock's speech in the play is so wonderful, I know it by heart." Dana said, and finished unpacking. She had any outfit for any season, and some nicer outfits for a party or evening out. She had sneakers and proper shoes, but some nicer ones (wedges, not heels). A proper closet. |
