Rehoming Policy
IF YOU HAVE A QUEST TROLL WITH PREMADE ART OR IS A SPECIAL (MUTANT, SEADWELLER, ETC) EVENT PRIZE PLEASE, PLEASE READ THIS.

After much debate, Hivestuck is changing it's rehoming policy from 'none' to 'there is one'. This only effects specific trolls, and only for the duration of the time that they are still a quest character. We feel that this is giving people ample time to work out and create their trolls, as it gives two months for people to set up their thread and develop their troll before submitting it. It also prevents premades and special trolls from being lost forever in the limbo of application.

Once your troll is accepted into the shop, it will be around forever, and will not be rehomed for any reason. The only trolls who are outside this rule are meta-important trolls that are needed to be around for storylines. We will mention when they are given out that they are meta important, and that they will be rehomed if you are inactive. However, for the most part we will not be giving these out to shop members and they will instead be staff-played.

Trolls eligible:
Trolls this policy will always effect:
1) Premades that have not yet had their quest accepted
2) Rare custom/semi-customs given out during events (mutant, etc)

The trolls this policy will never effect:
1) Trolls bought via ep/usd
2) Breeding babies

If your troll falls under neither of the above, and rehoming is not mentioned when you get the troll, it does not fall under the policy. If rehoming is mentioned, then it does.

Rehoming policy:
Once you have won or obtained a rehome-eligible troll, you have one month from the day you received it to get a quest thread up and running. After that, you have another month, starting from the day you put up the quest thread, to finish it up and submit it to the crit/accept thread. If a mod has given critique on your quest, you have intervals of a month after the crit has been posted to complete the changes and resubmit.

Each month we will check in to see that something has been done on your quest thread, and if there has been no change you will be notified that you haven't worked on your troll in the time frame given. If we don't get a reply back within a week, you will loose your premade troll, and your quest thread will be locked. The troll will then be given to one of the runners up in the event it was originally given away in.

If things come up in your life and you are unable to work on your troll due to irl events, let us know. We won't be taking your troll away if you have something important going on in your life. We are fine with giving extensions (so long as you can give us a rough/reasonable timeframe ie 'one more month'). Please remember to ask for this before your timer runs out, so we don't have to send you scary pms.

Once again for clarity:
recieve premade art - > (example: recieved july 18)
1 month to get a quest thread up - > (example: thread must be posted in bare bones by aug 18)
1 month to finish quest thread and submit it for review/acceptance - > (example: thread must be posted in review/acceptance thread by sep 18)
1 month after mod crit to update and re-submit it (repeating) (example: we take over a month to get a crit back (oops) and post one oct 25 - next submission should be by nov 25)
