This topic is being set up for the purpose of a MISSION to be fulfilled by Haruhi000777 and no others. Do not post.

Set deep in the base of the mountains, this base is the set up of a major criminal organization that employs high level rogues and disgraced shinobi. No one knows the origins of this criminal organization or where the disgraced and rogues have come from....but they intend harm. Great and dangerous harm. Ruled by twelve of the strongest, will no one defy them?!

It seemed the information gathered by the shinobi had been right. At least Suzume hoped so. This should have been the right area where the tracker had followed one of the criminals back to the base. If she remembered her list correctly, there were twelve that rules. They would undoubtedly be hard to kill. Having taken the high ground, Suzume hid behind a tree and scanned the area to see if there were any look outs that she would have to deal with before finding the entrance to the base.

SCOUT

"Don't move." Behind Suzume, a man slid out of the shadows, a dagger in hand as he advanced on her. His chakra pool was low, indicating he was not a shinobi of any kind, but his dagger was wicked sharp and smelled of poison. He glared at her, dressed loosely in clothes that were meant to hide him in the shadows and background.

Freezing when she heard the other's voice, Suzume stayed crouch and silent. He certainly did not seem to be a shinobi, not with the way he moved. The question was, how to deal with him. Glancing over her shoulder as she stood, she could see the other only had a dagger on him and there was a strange smell coming from it. Probably poison.

Deciding upon her course of action, she turned to her left as she drew her blade. First came the horizontal slash, aimed at the male's dagger, at just the right point and with enough force so that she could attempt to knock it out of his hand. As she continued to spin and her body turned into a spin kick, aiming to strike at the man's side. After the kick, her leg would pull back and she would have both feet on the ground, her sword drawn as she stared at the man.

"Don't call for help. I can slit your throat before a sound leaves your mouth. You will tell me everything I want to know, or things will only get worse for you. Understand?" The other was bound to know things about the base, it would be better to be prepared than to go in blind.

SCOUT

The dagger went flying and lodged in a tree as the scout was thrown back into that same tree, crashing into the ground from Suzume's kick. He grunted and tried to stand, his hands going in his pockets, until her words froze him "....what do you want?" he growled at her, withdrawing clenched hands, holding them at his sides.

With her katana drawn, she kept it pointed at the man, ready to move and attack should he decide to fight back anyway. Luckily, after that small display of her abilities, he was smart enough to believe she could and would kill him. Stepping a bit closer, just enough so that she could still move should he try to attack, she said "You've been inside the base? Tell me everything you know about it. Entrances, exits, any secret passages, traps... and anything about the people inside, such as if there are any shinobi and what I should expect from them in a fight." That just about covered all of the important details she would need to know, or at least she believed that just about covered it.

SCOUT

The scout glared even worse as she demanded to know almost everything but he responded calmly...too calm "There's an entrance down at the base of the mountain. Head four miles east of where we are now and about eight miles down. As for traps..." his fist came out and flicked a small white tablet up and into his mouth, crushing down on it before she could stop him and swallowed "Figure it out yourself, b*tch!" he managed to snarl out as foam bubbled at his lips. He slammed back into the tree, thrashing in violent spasms that snapped his back. He slumped down, dead, to the ground.

The calmness was a bit strange, but at least she knew where to find the entrance to the base. Suzume's eyes widened slightly as something flicked into his mouth and he bit down. She tried to rush forward as he began to foam at the mouth, wanting to jam her fingers down his throat and make him spit the poison back up. However, with all the thrashing and spasms, she wouldn't be able to hold him down or do anything.

The red head shook her head after his body stopped thrashing about. He was either very loyal to his employers or very scared of them. Suzume would search the body first for anything that might be of use later, such as more of those tablets or keys or anything. Once she had finished her search and taken anything useful, Suzume would stand up and head in the direction of the entrance. There really wasn't much point in hiding the body, her presence would be known soon anyway.

Suzume ran as swiftly and as quietly as she could, eyes and ears peeled for any more scouts. When she finally arrived at the designated area where the entrance of the base should have been, Suzume hid behind a tree and scouted the area, moving more slowly and quietly.

Boss 10

The walls of the mountain seemed to melt away as a man stepped out, lighting a smoke as he came out. His chakra pool was fairly large (350) and it was clear he excelled in earth elements from the way he commanded the earth to hide the entrance Fwaaaah....good day. he thought, letting the smoke slide out from between his lips.

So that was how the base was hidden, at least the way was open for her now. Even better, this seemed to be one of the bosses she was after. His description fit and he certainly had to be in charge considering he had more chakra than the scout. If she just rushed in, he might very well close the entrance and then the alarm would be raised. She'd have to kill him quick and then slip inside to deal with the rest.

Having put her blade away after having dealt with the scout and during the trek, Suzume readied herself for attack. Quickly stepping out from behind the tree, she used her enhanced speed, leaving behind an after image and stopping right in front of the man. From there, she stepped forward and drew her blade, her sword coming out in a horizontal slash across the man's neck. These movements would be hard to follow and it would seem as if it were a blur as she attempted to cut his throat and severed his head from his shoulders.

An unbelievably quick movement technique that has a speed that totally eclipses that of the Body Flicker Technique, with the same range. However, it is difficult to control and can only be used in one direction at a time. This technique creates an after-image where the user had been standing.

Sword Drawing Technique
Simple :: A-Rank
A quick drawing of the sword that operates as a slash and breaks through not only blades, but can pierce armor as well. Opponents without a speed rank higher than the user’s cannot see or react to this technique.

The blade decapitated the body but as it fell to the ground, the dirt covered the entrance, a second man stepping out as it did "Good thing I always use clones when I first come out. Hello, little lady." Identical to the clone that now dissipated on the ground, the man ground out his only just started smoke "I'm not as strong as you. But I'm not going down that easily." he brought his hands up, motioning for her to quit with the sneak attacks and take him on.

Having thought she had succeeded, Suzume grimaced when the clone turned into dirt. She should have known better than to think it would be this easy, but it was nice to hope. Honestly, when the other said that he was not as strong as her, Suzume almost felt bad about she was going to do.

Still, knowing that she had a job to do, the red head thought to continue relying on her speed to end this quickly. She moved forward, the last step the quickest as she brought her katana up over her head before bringing it down in a horizontal slash, trying to catch him on the left shoulder and cut deep into the man to kill him.

A very quick forward movement that doubles the strength and effectiveness of all offensive and defensive techniques and makes them very difficult to dodge by anyone of the user’s speed rank or lower.

An overhead vertical strike meant as an offensive technique. Very basic, but it is a very powerful strike.

Boss 10
Chakra Pool: 350

Knowing he was going to die, the boss didn't bother to dodge it but he did sign sharply as the blade came down. Earthen spears blasted up around them, piercing through him and coming up at Suzume's stomach. He was bleeding heavily, pierced through by three of his own spears and nearly cut in half from her attack "Ha...haa....haaa..." his breathing was thick and heavy, blood bubbling up between gasps.

Suzume was starting to see a pattern today, everyone seemed eager to commit suicide. She was prepared to evade should there be some sort of trap. Her last battle not too long ago with Kein was turning out to be a good warm up for this. If she could go toe to toe with a sannin and do well, then she had a good shot at surviving this raid on the base.

With her breathing synchronized and already feeling the earth shift, Suzume quickly brought her hand back and focused chakra into her feet. She jumped up and out of the way of the spears just in time to avoid serious damage. She did a back flip and landed on the ground, reaching down with her free hand to feel her stomach. Bringing her hand back to see, there was a bit of blood on her index and middle finger. A second longer and the spear could have seriously pierced the muscle.

Looking back to the boss, she could see that he would die soon. Approaching him, she rifled through his pockets for anything useful as she did the scout. Finished, she sheathed her katana before grabbing his neck "Sorry." She snapped his neck, granting him a more quick death before walking past him and entering the base.

Official Description: Kinobori no Waza, the art of tree climbing serves a dual purpose. Taking part in Kinobori Shugyou (Tree Climbing Training) helps a Shinobi learn how to focus their Chakra. It also teaches the Shinobi how to run up trees and walk on vertical walls. The training helps the Shinobi learn how to focus just the right amount of Chakra to a particular part of their body. The amount needed to climb is small but it must be precise. The feet are regarded as the hardest location to master Chakra focusing. So by gaining the art of this skill, the Shinobi will have any Jutsu available (theoretically) because they will be able to focus their Chakra as needed.

With the boss's death, the entrance became unsealed. However....with that came the alarms. Instantly, a dozen hired hands exploded out of the entrance, attacking in force rather then with any real skill.
Several traps instantly came into play as well, lining the entrance as the others left. Inside, other traps began setting up and the other bosses in charge came together to discuss how to deal with this threat.

The mountain was set up like a tower only upside down. From the entrance to the last chamber, the hide out swirled with each hall leading down to an open cavern that had one exit to the next hall that lead to the net entrance. Suzume would have to pass through 8 chambers in order to reach the bottom.
