[Hivestuck]

Common troll for the most part translates smoothly over to english, however there is a tendancy to use different names for various objects. As you play your troll, you may choose to use traditional english names for words(the higher-class troll way of speaking), or the lower-class troll equivalent.

However as a lot of items have not been given official names, we will be coming up with our own. if you don't see one on this list, feel free to make one up and post it below! Remember to use obscure english words that can somehow still describe the use of the object.

For example:
cannon translation: bathtub = ablution trap
(ablutions = washing facilitys trap = device to catch a substance)
hivestuck translation: freezer = hiemal ambry
(hiemal = wintery, pertaining to winter ambry = storage room, closet)

Words marked with an asterisk * do not have a high class equivalent. For example, a hive is always a hive, never a house.

Ablution Trap - Bathtub
*Autoerogenous Shame Globes - Inappropriate troll anatomy.
*Auricular sponge clots - Ears.

*Bone bulge - Inappropriate troll anatomy.
*Beetles - A troll currency.

*Communal hive stem - Troll apartment building, see also hive.
*Cartilage Nub - Inappropriate troll anatomy.
*Chitinous Windhole - Trachea.
*Collapsing and expanding bladder based aquatic vascular system - Aquatic troll heart.
*Culling - Killing another troll for a legitimate reason. Legitimate for a troll, that is.
Corpse box - Coffin. Only used by upper class trolls, as the lower caste are left to be devoured by wild creatures after death.

*Exoskeleton - Skeleton. Troll anatomy sure is weird!

*Frond nub - Tree.
*Filial Pail - When two adult trolls love (or hate) each other a lot, they take a Filial Pail and secrete DNA into it, together. It's a magical experience.
*Faygo - Delicious troll drink. Might also exist on earth.
*Floppy grub - Floppy disc.

*Grubloaf - cake.

*Hive - Troll dwelling. See also, communal hive-stem.
Hiemal Ambry - Freezer
*Hoofbeast - Horse (Aquatic or otherwise.)
*Husktop - Laptop.
*Hemospectrum - The range of blood colours that trolls can have. Is often used in association with their class status.

*Musclebeast - Dangerous and terrifyingly strong creatures that combine both muscle and beast into pure strength. The strongest Alternian wildlife known to troll.
*Mind honey - Created by Alternian bees that enhances natural psychic powers and increases intelligence for short periods of time.

*Nook - Inappropriate troll anatomy.
*Nutbeast - Squirrel.
Nutrition plateau - Plate.

*12th Perigee's Eve - Troll christmas.

*Recuperacoon - Troll bed. A hollow chamber filled with Sopor slime. Designs vary, but all share a hole in the structure for trolls to climb into.
*Respiteblock - Bedroom.
*Rainbow drinker - Troll vampire. Sleep at night and rise during the day, also have glowing white skin.

*Sopor slime - The substance trolls sleep in, which causes drowsiness and helps control and suppress their more violent instincts. Not for consumption.
*Squawk Gaper - Mouth.
*Seed flap - Inappropriate troll anatomy.
*Sniffnode - Nose.
*Spinal crevice - Inappropriate troll anatomy.
