"Okay team, gather round!" Corabell called. She waited as the players flew over. "All right, you all made a great showing. I'm very happy to announce everyone will be getting a spot this year, either on the main team or the reserves. The reserve slots do not mean you are not a good player, or that you don't show potential. It just means that we have an abundance of good players, and those with the most experience are working as our starting line up. Do your best on the reserves, and you will have the time to get used to playing on a team, practice your moves, and when a position opens up, a starter can't play, or we need a mid-game fill in, you will have the chance to play," Corabell told the players, looking at each player in turn, making sure they all understood what she was saying.
"I will be playing Keeper position. Emily, you are my reserve, and you will probably be my replacement next year. Train hard. Raphael, Jasper, you are starting Beaters, Harper, you are their backup. Beaters take a lot of hits, so you could end up on the field during any game. Keep this in mind, and be ready to step up. Jess, you're starting Seeker. Alice, you're reserve. Layton, you made a good showing, but I don't need two reserve Seekers. I'm putting you in as a reserve Chaser. Jess is graduating at the end of this year. So I want you training hard, for Seeker as well as Chaser. I can't say for sure, since I'll be gone as well, but if you train hard this year, I'd think you would be our reserve Seeker next year, and Alice's replacement when she graduates. It might seem a long way off, but advance planning makes for strong teams, so do your best," Corabell told the first year. "Elsie, Cathy, Iris, you are starting Chasers. You work well together, so keep it up. Nicole, Lyall, you will be reserve Chasers with Layton. Any questions?"

Elsie got her butt down to the pitch nice and early to insure there was no annoyed team members impatiently waiting for her. Hair pulled back in a bouncy ponytail, she did her stretches and sorted out the forms everyone was going to have to fill out, then sat down cross legged on the grass, before wondering if that was too casual for a team captain and clambered back on her feet.

Layton walked out onto the pitch, seeing that they had a different captain this year, which was understandable, seeing as their last captain just graduated! He grabbed a sheet of paper and filled it out, glad that at least he could get that reserve seeker spot this year. Hopefully.

Cathy stepped onto the field, a bit disappointed in herself that one of the other students had beat her to the pitch besides just Elsie (though Elsie was Captain so it made sense), but Cathy supposed it just meant the little one-eyed second year was just eager to play, right? Couldn't fault him for that. "Elsie, so sorry I'm a bit late," Cathy said, "I was doing a bit of studying and then I got wrapped up in the text I was translating for Ancient Runes... and well I sort of got carried away..."
She shrugged, blushed ever so slightly, and gave Elsie a small smile and then a wave to Layton. Despite being "late" she was still fairly early to be truthful, and she had managed to take the time to put on make-up and pull her blonde hair up in a perfectly arranged ponytail tied with a yellow and black ribbon. Cathy always argued looking beautiful was just a common courtesy and a way of politeness. Probably being the child of a man who made his fortune on people's looks just further cemented the idea in her head.

Jasper walked onto the pitch like always happy to be back on the field. He would definitely make Beater this year seeing as Raphael had just graduated. "Hey everyone." Jasper said as he looked back to see Alice skipping up behind him. Taking two forms he held one out to her before filling his own out like he did every year. It was his second to last year and he really wanted to enjoy the time he had left. Knowing Alice would make the team bothered him a bit but at this point he'd learned he could protect her from everything.

Rider headed down to the Quidditch Pitch, feeling a flutter of nervousness in her stomach. She'd seen people getting hit by the bludgers and the pain it caused. But everyone always seemed to have fun when they played, and Rider was looking for a new outlet. So she'd decided to try out for the team. She had borrowed a broom to play and headed on down to the pitch. The captain was holding papers, so she took one and scribbled the information down.

Zeph walked out onto the pitch as he considered the situation he had. His cousin had been in school as a chaser, and so did his cousin-in-laws. Apparently it was some sort of regular thing with Whitethornes. He didn't care. He wanted to see if he could do it. Not like he thought he could, but still, he could try. Over one shoulder was a school broom, and he reached out to pick up a form as he saw others doing the same."Um, hi? I'm not too late for tryouts, am I?"He was a first year. This should be your average stats. When you go up in experience, remember that every two years of experience gets you a +1 to all of your stats, and taking Advanced Flying 1 and 2 will give you an additional +3 to all your stats. Just remember, you must complete your class in Advanced Flying to get the bonus, meaning you won't have it this year, but next year.

The young boy walked onto the pitch. After hearing that there was a wizard sport in which they play, he probably was one of the first people to say that he has to participate. Growing up, the young Argentinian loved football, but he couldn't participate any longer because of some law that he had read about that the wizards have. He hated it, but it wasn't like he couldn't find another wizard sport...and it seems that he may have found a fun one. When he got there, he did know the position he wanted to tryout for...keeper. Why? Because that was the only one in which he had the faintest idea on what he had to do. The boy played keeper in football...so maybe his goalkeeping skills would finds its way into this sport somehow.
When he got there, he saw that he had to fill something out...so he instantly did that. Starting to write, he smiled the whole way through.
