When Iris came towards the field, Rider smiled at her and waved her over, the said, "Iris, nice timing. Stretch real quick and go try to steal or shoot. Two keepers trying out so pick one and shoot." She smiled and nodded to the girl, then resumed watching the team.

"Nice catch." Emma told Balder brightly. Despite him catching her shot she was happy for him. With Iris joining them it would make things more interesting. She could work on her stealing and dodging. With a smile she went after Iris who now had the quaffle."Glad you could join us Iris." She said to her before going in for the steal.

Status: Now's my chance to make first string.

Hannah said, "We're going to have a good season this year, I can feel it.." She also saw the new student, Balder was also here to tryout for the team. "Hi, Balder. Good luck," she told him, as she started rolling her shoulders and moving her arms around, swinging the bat as though she wee planning to knock a baseball for the fences. When Rider gave everybody their instructions, Hannah got ready to launch herself into the air. Despite her hopeful statement, she noted how few had actually shown up this time; they didn't even have enough players to do a scrimmage match. Hannah hoped this wasn't a bad sign, as they might need the extra players for their push for the Cup.

After stretching a little and strapping on the pads, Hannah took to the air, happy to have her feet off the ground, and having the crisp, cool air blowing across her face. When the balls were released, and the paper range targets positioned, Hannah took her first crack at a Bludger.

Despite not getting a hold of the ball, Emma figured she could at least try again. As her uncle always said when you fall down you should always get back up... or if at first you don't succeed try try again... Whether that was true, Emma believed in never giving up. Not when you were down and out yet. Taking a breath she moved in to steal the quaffle from Iris again.

With a loud smack, Hannah took a Bludger square to the gut, knocking the breath from her body, and the Third Year was left gasping for breath and struggling to remain atop her mount. 'Yeah, not the way I wanted to start my season,' thought Hannah, as she hung onto the broomstick, and readied her bat to take a swing at the next Bludger which came her way.

"Sure thing!" Iris called, quickly swinging onto her broom. She'd just finished a run, so she was plenty loose enough for a bit of tossing the quaffle around. Emma certainly wanted the quaffle...too bad! Whipping around, she grinned and tossed the ball towards the goal Balder was guarding.

Emma smiled when Balder tossed her the ball after it went throw to the goal. "Don't worry I plan on it." She told him referring to how she planned on sharing the ball with Leon. "Hey Leon you're up!" She called out as she made a quick toss at the goal. She wasn't going to wait. After all he was well acquainted with the position.

Lionel watched as the girls had both aimed for Balder, the newest puff and keeper trying out. Lionel naturally was nice about everything, clapping and smiling as the boy had saved one, but another part of him was still competitive and wanted to be as good as possible. He just sort of waited his turn before Emma Bailey had decided she wanted to shoot on him. And it was quite the shot to say the least, he reacted as best as he could, hoping to get his hands on it. He couldn't get there quick enough as it went past his finger tips into the hoop. He retrieved the quaffle and past it back. "Good shot," he said to the girl, hating that he missed it. But he'd have to get over it. He passed it off to Iris before moving back to the net.
