As she expected, Lionel passed the Quaffle back to Hannah after Yellow Team's scoring attempt, and she launched herself toward the opposing goals. Emma made another attempt to wrest the ball from her, and Hannah was only able to retain control by tucking the ball close to her body, which now ached with every breath she took. She glanced around, and saw her teammate, and fellow Chaser, Iris, not far away, and quickly passed the Quaffle off to her, knowing she was the better scorer. Hannah guessed her best shot to impress her new Housemates was to show she knew to put the team ahead of herself.

Catching the pass, Iris tucked the quaffle close to her body and sped down the pitch. Hannah seemed to be hurting from the hit she'd taken, so Iris added a bit of flair to her flying to draw attention away from the smaller girl.

Her attempt to draw attention was unfortunately a bit too successful, and her arm made a nasty crunch when a bludger smashed into her. Iris spat a number of impressively foul curses, wobbling theatrically as she curled protectively around her broken arm...and the quaffle she was holding.

Glancing up through her lashes, she suddenly dropped the possum act and flung the quaffle at the left hoop that her 'injured' wobbling had brought her closer to. Popping a few snaps on her windbreaker, she reached inside her jacket with her bad arm and immobilized it as best she could by gripping a strap of the lightweight harness she'd taken to wearing for for just this reason.

Catching the ball from Emily, the first year raced off towards the goals. She knew getting it to the goals was going to be nearly impossible. Having no one around her she just pushed forward hoping to hold onto the ball. She had good coverage she just needed to get to the goals.

Despite Alice's attempts she was unable to get there in time. Layton had caught the snitch. Flying to a stop next to him she smiled. "Nice catch Layton." she said brightly. Despite not catching it Alice didn't care, he was a great Seeker even with his limited eyesight. Layton could only get better from here. That much Alice knew for certain.

Hannah winced in sympathy when she saw her teammate struck with one of those flying cannonballs, and then let a loud whoop out when Iris managed to score on the Yellow Team's goals, and watched as the oddly-shaped ball was tossed to Emma, so she could start her run for Black Team's goals. 'Emma's tried to steal it from me twice already, I guess it's my turn to give it a shot,' she thought, as she whipped her mount around to try to swipe the ball from her friend.

Cathy blew her whistle after watching the game go on. "Alright guys! That's all for today," She called out. Once everyone landed she said, "Everyone did great. Thank-you for showing up. If you guys can just wait a minute or two so I can consult with Rider we'll have the team line-up ready for everyone." She said with a smile and waved over to Rider who she stepped aside to speak with and consult regarding the team. Cathy was truly happy with the showing for try-outs this year, and the one thing she had to say that was bad about having such a great turn-out to Rider was that it would make their job that much harder to chose their team and their first string. After a few minutes of consultation with Rider, Cathy called out, "Alright! I hope no one gets discouraged, because like I said everyone did great today, but no use drawing it out our team for this year will look like this..." She began to list the decisions that Rider and her made at that time.
