He tried his best, but he failed in the end. It was so close! He almost got it but he failed to do so. Eugene gave himself a frustrated facepalm and a groan when he again failed to catch the quaffle. He knew that it was just tryouts and he wouldn't mind about being a reserve but he could not stand giving a bad impression to the captain and the team itself. How could nature do this to him, he wondered. "Next ball... next ball will go better, just you wait," He muttered as he caught the ball and passed it, this time, to Echo. And after Echo it would be Dylan's turn. Again, he's not going to let Benjamin get through him again and yes, he was taking this quite seriously.

Soon after Indie had started her pursuit, Echo had them stop. The youngster couldn’t help but feel frustrated, as she’d finally seen the snitch again, but she suppressed the frustration dutifully. So she’d be on the blue team with the captain, that would put the pressure on. Immediately after the game began, Indie returned to the vantage point where she’d caught sight of the snitch the second time. She’d been scanning the goal posts when it had shown itself, so she resumed doing this, hopeful that a similar instance might occur. Before long, Lexine was once again chasing after something. Indie had to remind herself that she’d been doing this for quite a long time, and that her skill didn’t say anything about Indie’s own potential. As frustrating as it was to watch the older girl spot the thing time and time again, she knew she’d get there eventually. Deftly, her eyes traced the older seeker’s path, leading just a little, in the hopes that the little golden nugget would be baiting Lexine there.

Lexine continued to race about the pitch, and Indie continued to search for the object she was chasing. So far, her attempts to seek out the snitch were futile. She knew it would show itself eventually. The thing had a mind of its own, and loved to play games with its predators. But Indie was beginning to understand its cheeky nature, and anticipate its moves and deceptions. She moved across the pitch again, brushing over every empty space with her icy eyes.
