Shayna smiled as she stretched a little. She didn't want to get too hurt while playing. She knew she wouldn't pass Shina but she still thought even watching the older Ravenclaw would give her a better chance of being much much better player. She sure hoped she would be able to give her a better run for her money though than last year."Hi Shina! How are you today?"She asked excitedly. It wasn't exactly a secret that the younger brunette looked up to Shina a lot.

Verily sighed and quickly braided her hair over her shoulder as Rosemarie spoke. When she was done she filled out the form, her handwriting blocky but perfectly neat. It seemed like a great day for tryouts, and Verily was excited to get back to playing for the team. She missed Quidditch and after everything that had happened over summer, she needed an escape. She still couldn't process the horrors she had seen.

Shayna continued to smile as Shina asked about training over the summer. "Of course not! I practiced when I could. And I cannot wait! Flying is so much fun. I'm pretty good actually. Pretty hyped to start the year again." She said happily. She vowed to herself that she would give Shina a run for her money this try outs. Even though she was surely to be beaten once more. But that didn't matter any more. But at the thought of practicing she blushed slightly at how some of her time had been with David.

Chance lugged his borrowed broom on the field, his bat swinging from his belt with every step he took. Yes, he was late. Again. He was late every year. And why did they keep him on the team again? Walking up to the captain, the redhead nodded a greeting before taking a form and filling it out, handing it back to the girl when he was finished. Then he took his position next to his fellow Beater, Verily. Brown eyes glanced at her. Was she okay with him being around her after the past summer? Did she think of him as some sort of monster for beating up her boyfriend? And in front of her, no less. Would she forgive him for that? He hoped so, because in some odd way of looking at it, she was his friend, and her opinion mattered to him.

Rufus got on his broom and lifted up in the air where he started to do his laps he did not really feel the way he did when he normally flew. But then again he was fighting for a ball normally. He was not as fast on his old broom but he could keep pace.

Shayna nodded as the captain had them fly their laps. She hopped on her broom and took off. Having practiced so that her speed was faster she was finished not long after getting on her broom. She was happy with the results.

Rosemarie smiled at those who finished their laps as she sat in the center of the picth. "Okay, So we have 2 trying for Seeker, easy enough. Two trying for Keeper. Same two beaters and same three chasers, by the looks of it" she said as she began to shift through the papers. "Okay! Everyone in the sky. We will be playing this like a game. Beaters can aim at anyone they want. Teams will be Chase, Rick and Shayna. Rufus, Night, Shina. Everybody ready? Go!" she said, kicking open the trunk, two bludger's flew out into the air, followed soon after by the snitch. Rosemarie grabbed the Quaffle and threw it into the air.
