Master
The sub race that most of the elders belong to. Every one of them was either born a vampire, or when through a second turning process, after forsaking the last of their human heritage, but not necessarily, their humanity. Instead of dieing in sunlight, their powers are simply nullified, making them like humans, until returned to darkness. The also have a tolerance for water. Garlic also nullifies their powers and they are affected by the usual remaining Vampire banes they are also telepathic and pyrokenetic. The vampire's pyrokinesis is named "hellfire" and requires high levels of power and training/talent to do (I decide whether you have it or not Just tell me about yourself, and we'll talk). Some of the old ones fear the cross and other relics. The younger ones do not. Masters can sustain themselves by eating food, as well as drinking blood. But they must eat a lot. As a race that needs iron to counter the effects of hydrogen, so they can drink, they drink blood to get both. The nourishment they get from the blood is just a bonus. They can also be seen in mirrors, if they wish.

Tainted.
A sort of Master/Assimulant hybrid sub race.(Basically, think of Chiropterans from Blood+). They eat food and drink blood all the same as the Masters, but have less need for blood, thinking of it as more of a luxury, than a necessity. Sunlight can have little to no effect on them, as can the vampire banes. And, they also have the ability to make their own Tainted Assimulants. They are a sub race that is almost as old as the Masters and depending on age and breeding, their over all levels can range from lower than Assimulants, to higher than Masters. Their blood is poisonous, even to other vampires, and can genetically range from mildly venomous, to deadly. As such, despite their potential to be on par with the Masters, the Masters tend to look down on them and treat them as genetic defects.
