❝He was at the site in no time flat, seeking out his client that had requested the aid of a young ninja to help with her garden. A Minor task for someone of his skill, but it mattered not, all he knew was that he had to do it and get on with his life. He knocked at the door and an answer came, followed by an old lady's face appearing moments later. "Good evening. I'm here to assist with your weed problem". The woman smiled and motioned him around to where the garden was, and Izaya went ahead and got started without delay.

He plucked and plucked and plucked, but it seemed to be going slower than he thought it would at first, he did not give up however, and just kept going. Some of them were harder to pull than others, but that was to be expected.

Halfway finished, Izaya sat down for a spell to catch his breath. To his great surprise, he saw several bugs starting to accumulate in an area not too far from where he sat, and he screamed, a piercing sound that echoed a bit and stepped back quickly. He had a fear of insects, and he had yet to get over it. He walked away from them, careful not to step on any, while he went to finish plucking the weeds as quickly as possible so he could leave.

He was almost finished, only ten or so left. He completed the task quickly and went back to the woman to let her know that he was through. She thanked him for all his hard work and then he was on his way.

The day had proved to be slow moving in Izaya's eyes, but he took that as a sign that he was getting time to make up for his tardiness in the past few days. As if on cue, a little boy no taller than Izaya stood still amidst a group of four boys that were much larger than he was, tears trickling down his face while the others taunted him. Izaya noticed that one of the other boys held a ball in their hands and was brandishing it before the boy's eyes. Izaya watched them laugh in his face and walk away.

As if compelled, Izaya walked over to the boy that was still crying and asked what had happened. The boy said not a word for a few minutes and just cried a little more. Izaya's patience was thinning, but he waited for the boy to gather his wits and finally gather his voice to speak. A few sobs followed by silence. "They took my ball..." That was no news to Izaya. He had seen the exchange and knew that that had been the problem. With a sigh, he turned in the direction that the four boys went and began trailing them, like a stalker on the heels of his stalkee.

He was sure to remain hidden in the shadows while he trailed them, and as far as he could tell, he was doing a pretty good job of it. He followed them down the street and was forced to stop and remain silent every so often as the boys stopped and talked. Why he was taking so long to get the ball back was beyond him. If he had wanted to, he could have just gotten it and left without even being seen, but for some strange reason he wanted to see where there boys were going.

He followed them to a building that looked abandoned, devoid of human care. Izaya wondered what they could possibly be going there for, but that was not his to question. He was simply charged with getting the ball back to its owner. The door to the building closed behind the boys as they went inside, and Izaya thought of how he would manage to get in. 'Why do I need to get in? Why not just get them to come out?' It would be easy, and without further delay, he formed the handsigns for his technique and spoke. On the inside of the building, the boys would be able to hear an ominous whisper in their ears, yet there would be no one there. They would turn and look at each other, wondering if the other had spoken to them. Izaya formed more handsigns and this time, the sounds of various animals echoed through the building. Owls hooting, dogs barking, horses whinnying, and so much more. Then finally a mischief of rats came rushing out fro nowhere yet everywhere, creeping on the four boys. They ran from the building screaming in terror at all that had just happened, and Izaya's laughter rang out from not too far away. Luckily for him, they had dropped the ball inside and he wasted no time retrieving it and bringing it back to its owner.

Upon returning to the boy with the ball, he thanked Izaya and ran off playing, a smile finally back on his face. Izaya watched him go and followed soon not too long after, going on to his next duty as a ninja of the village.
