To the northeast and extending well into the region from there are the ricelands. Set up on a steppe system that's been buried under the snow of the mountain's winter climate, the ground here is particularly rough as well, and hides soldiers in snow came extremely well. The area begins scarcely 50 meters from the farthest out building of Seizan's city, and stretches out to the edge of Seizan's metro area (for lack of better term.) The area, due to the storms, has become mostly flat, and it is located north of Shinozki Farm. Far out to the northwest is The Mills, as well, though there is extremely rough terrain between the two, making traversing the pine tree lined, snow and ice covered distance inadvisable.

__ Kenshin appeared in the rice farmlands of Seizan and crouched to remain out of sight. He used his active byakugan to survey the area. He also used his map to fully understand the lay of the land. The second platoon was now within his sights as he analyzed them and their position. "Keep them busy, that's the key." He recalled from his earlier orders before turning his head around to his squadmates."And we're here. I can see the platoon off in the distance and I've got the map of the area in my hands." His voice was low but still audible for his squadmates to hear. He clenched his teeth together as he pondered a few strategies. "We could run in and ambush them to hit them hard, but that's the riskiest option. Or we could hit bombard them with ranged attacks from a high ground position."His teeth ground against each other as he thought of some more ideas."Thoughts?" He broke the brief silence in order to get some outside opinions.

Selina arrived with Kenshin. His eyes evidently gave him the ability to see at extreme distances. She was not sure how it worked, but she figured he knew what he was doing. There was a choice as to whether to charge or to attack from a range. Selina thought about it for a second with her hands crossed. "Why not do both?" She asked nonchalantly. She looked up at Kenshin and smiled as she raised a finger. "If you charged in, then I can poof you out with my flower petals. We can keep moving you around, so that it's kind of like multiple surprise attacks." If Kenshin didn't like this plan, then she was good with firing long range attacks. After all, making a bunch of clones and then firing off some cool ninjutsu was a solid play as well. She figured though that this method kept the attacks feeling smaller, and thus keeping the enemy off guard as to how many they have.
As the team got into position the thundering sound of cannons could be heard in the distance. Followed by a period of silence as the snowfall continued. While the second platoon continued to advance on their position. A solid two hundred feet away, they were soon slammed by their own artillery. Which threw the platoon in to chaos. Why were their own arty firing on their position? As the shells exploded in the center of the formation the two NCO's and the LT's sheilds would flare and protect them. A few of the privates would get lucky and get out of the blast radius after the first shell impacted and would survive unscathed. However seven of the ten privates were not so lucky and lay dying. More then a couple were screaming in pain from their amputated limbs ~
__ Kenshin nodded to Selina as he continued to monitor the second platoon's position. "We'll do that then." He responded with a hushed voice before the booming sounds of cannon fire could thunder through the quiet snow. Suddenly, he saw numerous artillery shells slam into the platoon as he felt the waves of force and energy shake his bones. Adrenaline spiked through him as anxiety and fear tremored his hands. The majority of the privates were either killed or severely injured with three remaining. The NCOs, as well as the lieutenants, seemed to survive using some sort of shielding mechanism."How can I get through those shields?" He pondered this in an attempt to focus on the goal and steady his hands. By some good fortune, the majority of the platoon was wiped out lowering the numbers to mostly the officers.This seemed to be the perfect moment to ambush them in the confusion."Remember, we do it your way, Rosewater. I'm moving in."He then stood and sprinted towards the platoon and left his secure position from a distance.
As his boots left prints in the snow behind him he ran a considerable distance in an efficient amount of time. As he did so he weaved a couple of handsigns causing an A-Rank amount of chakra to surge out of his tenketsu points into a Heavenly Armor. The armor of chakra layered over his skin and entire body from head to toe. The Heavenly Armor swirled and appeared to be a condensed version of the heavenly palm rotation. Once he was within range he formed chakra lions over his hands and released a wave of chakra from his right palm towards the shields as a mountain crusher. Kenshin appeared almost celestial in his form with swirling chakra over his body and fists with twin kings of the jungle. He focused with intensity as he watched the wave of chakra leave his palm and prepared himself for counterattacks.
The sounds of cannons and explosions shook Selina to her core. This was finally happening. She almost completely forgot the plan. Before she could shut down, however, Kenshin rushed in. Out reached hands tried to stop him, but she was too late. He was heading in, so now it was her job to act up. "Stay strong. Too many people are relying on you." A voice within her said. She nodded to herself as she used her sense of empathy to pick upon Kenshin's resolved. It was thankful that he was so devoted to his practice, as his emotions reflected that as well. The moment Kenshin's strikes met, or if his strike missed or was blocked by a more skilled foe, flower petals surrounded him. These petals blossomed from within her and trailed along the breeze until they found their target. The petals circled around him, and before there was time for him to be targeted they brought him back at body flicker speeds to her location. She took a breath as she completed her task. She had yet to properly use that technique on another living person. She was glad he didn't get hit along the process. "Alright! Find your next target and go again!" She said cheerfully. She knew that she couldn't keep this up forever, but if they got down at least some of the key targets, then the rest of the army would falter.
With the sudden onslaught of the Kumo shinobi, the confusion in the ranks of the platoon before them would only rise. The privates, still stunned from the artillery barrage, were unable to react much less stop the wave of chakra which consumed them. Rending flesh from bone and shattering armor plates. One of the NCO's would be able to get clear of the onslaught, but the other was also consumed. The Lieutenant however, was quick on his feet with getting his s**t together. With a strong push from his legs he too was able to get clear. Though before he could ready his rifle, the flower pedals would consume Kenshin and when they cleared, would leave no trace of the man.

__ Kenshin watched as his precise strikes of chakra landed square on the remaining privates and an officer. Their armor and bodies were completely destroyed by his attacks. The highly proficient lieutenant survived as well as one of the officers. As the lieutenant lifted his gun to fire upon Kenshin he noticed the petals consume him and he returned to Selina's side. To him, it all went by in the blink of an eye and he could not help by gasp audibly. "Agh!" He started breathing heavily as the adrenaline consumed him. He felt his emotions in the heat of battle overwhelm him and temporarily shatter his stoic exterior. A tear left one of his white enhanced eyes as he briefly smiled. In his mind's eye, he saw the children buried beneath rubble and the women and men lacerated by blades in Seizan. "I'm avenging them. I'm doing justice's work." He felt a sense of elation that he had never felt before. A flicker of it showed in his eyes as he turned his head towards Selina. "Thanks for the assist." After he spoke he regained his composure a bit as he focused in on how he was going to eliminate the two remaining targets. In a heart hardened by a childhood lost in prison, serving justice became his one respite from self-hatred. "Stay vigilant, there are two high ranking officers left and I can no longer surprise them. Time to finish what we started." His voice and demeanor were now in the form most familiar to Selina as he dedicated himself to finishing off this platoon.
The shinobi, soldier, and policeman of Kumogakure rushed back in as chakra armor continued to swirl around him as the lions remained on his fists. He appeared to be a celestial being covered in dark blue chakra. Once he closed the distance his fists launched two mountain crushing waves of chakra towards the NCO solely. He then approached the lieutenant and sent out his two hands in two precise strikes. If these palms landed then an entire combination of one hundred and twenty-eight strikes would land. These strikes in addition to the strengths of the lion fists would be lethal. The grace and ferocity of Kenshin's movements from hours upon hours of training his bloodline were apparent. He could only hope that this skirmish would end soon as these powerful attacks were taxing on his body.
Selina felt the spike of emotions erupt from within Kenshin as he eliminated the plethora of the threat. His vengeance was that of Hachiro's. However, unlike Hachiro, Kenshin managed to compose himself once more when he was returned. This made Selina relax as well, as her heart nearly pounded out her chest with the anxiety she felt. When he said that the element of surprise was lost, Selina knew what was next. Either they go big, or there was an option to retaliate. "I won't run." She said with a nod. As Kenshin left, her body erupted in blue flames. The lengthy sequence of her magical girl transformation previously was now abridged to only a moment. Her awakened formed self flew through the flames as she honed in on the emotions of Kenshin, the officer, and the lieutenant. With so flew people left, she could more clearly discern them. Thirty feet in the air the girl hovered as he right arm rose as did the giant flower on it. The flower was aimed toward the fighting as a trail of ash flew toward the three of them. The moment the ash engulfed the crowd, it detonated into a torrent of explosive flames. Selina was sure that the damage would not impact Kenshin, but she doubted the other two were ready to be engulfed in a sea of flames. It was not within Selina's nature to murder, but this went beyond right and wrong. This was about justice; the force which all magical girls had to use in order to make the world a better place. In her heart she was resolved to do what was necessary to protect her friends. She hoped that a time would come when such violence was no longer needed. Until then, she would no longer cry.
Despite the depth of experience the Lieutenant had. The one thing he was not expecting was to be rushed. He had come to understand shinobi as a skirmishing force, not an assault force. Then there was the poor NCO who was just starting to get himself together before getting outright blasted by Kenshin's assault. His body going limp and rag dolling into the snow. Meanwhile the explosion from the ash would consume the lives of the wounded from the previous artillery bombardment. Their previous low whimpers now taking form in their last dying screams of agony.
The Lieutenant however, faced with the grim reality that he had utterly failed, was struck full force by the assault of blows. His flesh ripping away at the impact sites leading into a spray of blood. With his eviscerated body falling to the ground, the engagement had drawn to a close, and the purity of their hands would never return. The two having officially crossed the line from children, to soldiers capable of taking lives.
