Of the three main bases that have been cropped up, this one lies on the western side of the village hidden in the leaves within the land of fire. The base is less fortified than the Northern one, significantly, but all of them have been put on higher alert because of the survivor of the initial contact. Slaves work tirelessly within the complex, hidden by the natural density of the forest as well as by being surrounded by a sensory haze of some kind that makes it appear as though there is no one within. The base itself is made mostly of woods and non-ferrous metals, and is a surprisingly large militarized base.
Enemies: 5 E rank Soldiers guarding the perimeter on all sides of the 60 meter radius. 3 D rank Soldiers along the walls. 2 C rank Soldiers within overseeing the slaves. 1 B rank Soldier somewhere within.

Ichiryu and his team with ten of his wood clones arrived at the location where he was informed of where the base would be located. "Ok, we should be near the area. Alright, it's time. Nise, Sumika, those birds you had, how do you use them and how far can they be away from you?" Ichiryu had an idea of the perfect way to scout the area without moving but it depends on the abilities that Nise and Sumika had and how they use them.One out of the ten clones blended with a tree in the current area they are now leaving him with nine.
Sumika raised a finger to her chin as she lost herself in thought for a moment. "Mmm, they're basically just cool messenger birds that you can send to deliver a message." She said with a shrug. "They won't be relaying info to me anytime soon, unless you can figure out how to power a camera off a tiny chakra battery and wirelessly relay that information to a portable... thingamajig. None of which is possible." An overlong way of saying there was little the clockwork bird could do. Ideally, the puppeteer would build a bigger version that functioned similar to Nise's creations at some point. For now? Well, that would require San to trust that she wasn't going to destroy something on accident and she didn't trust herself on that front. Sumika really wasn't kidding when she suggested she was a bad fit for this. Puppeteers weren't scouts, they were assassins and combat specialists. Nise had her creations, at least, but despite being strong Sumika was relatively immobile, having not figured out how to translate her doton ability into creating sand at will or using it on her iron sand. Her puppet was simple, and her iron sand was purely destructive. Honestly, neither of the puppeteers were a fit for this, they were both built to destroy s**t. Ichiryu had his hands full getting this mission on track, though for once it wasn't explicitly thanks to Sumika.

"My creations are semi-autonomous. I can direct them and I can make 'em blow but I can't see through their eyes or anything like that."Yet. Nise mentally added. If she was going to end up on any more scouting missions then it'd be worth investing some time to study how to achieve that. For now though, she'd have to make do. "I can direct them visually or from a distance if I use my sensory techs and get a reading on a target. They also do animal mimicry, so like I can make clay moles that burrow through the ground to a point I designate."
She saw Ichiryu's wood clones melding into the nearby trees as Sumika and her explained their respective bird abilities. Right now she only had a pelican and a clay panda cub prepared and was feeling a little antsy about that. "If you got a target and vector in mind and give me some time, I can make a real nice bunch of 'em..." She offered almost wistfully. Her brain knew it was a scouting mission but proper utilization of her clay got her heart pounding.
A lone soldier was on patrol about the same area as the enemy shinobi. He wasn't as apt as they were, a mere grunt who only had a kunai launcher and an oddly shaped gun on his person. He was within range of the group's sight, and had grown lazy, as weeks had gone by without any sort of contact. Even though he should have been alert after what happened to the scouting group from before, he simply wasn't worried. Folly, truly, on his part, as his lack of attention robbed him, for now, of the ability to pick up on their voices or presence. For now, if any of them cared to look, they would have caught him flat footed. Even if they chose to let him pass, they would know for sure that past him lied the base, though how far and how close his compatriots were remained a mystery.

"We'll have to fix that when we get back at the village, you two were made for scouting missions, might even be made for anbu with abilities like that" Ichiryu had his clones go to the top of the trees. "That bit of info would help you two, but I'm going to do something to gather the information we need. " Ichiryu walked towards a large shrub bush that can hold him and his team. "Stay close, I'm going to create some cover by making a mist [Kirigakure no Jutsu [ Hidden Mist Technique ]]"
After his remaining ten clones witnessed the fog, they started to spread through the area jumping from tree to tree in five groups of two. While scouting, one group found the facility from afar. While the other clones found their own place to hide. Once they do use the Third eye technique to scout the area perfectly hidden. Once they found something they'd know what to do. All ten clones used the Third Eye right and hid the eye into secret parts of the area right before they were merged with the trees.

Daisan no Me [ The Third Eye ] 5 chakra x10 Rank: E Official Description: Daisan no Me is a Ninjutsu technique unique to the Sand ninja Gaara. Created out of the sand, the Eye allows Gaara to view an opponent when he is either encased in his Suna no Muya or when he needs to be able to see his opponent's actions when he has no clear line of sight with his own eyes. Guild Description: Making a single hand sign, the user will focus on a single point, and the eyeball will form therefrom sand around them. Holding one eye closed, one will be able to use the Third Eye as they would normally. This version requires either Suna no Muya or some other source of sand.
Sumika was about to explain that her bird was a trifle purchased at the Sunagakure puppetry shop, when their squad leader filled the entire area around them with mist. A mist which Sumika could not see through, at least not at the moment. She immediately deadpanned, the annoyed expression directed at the Senju. He may have been her squad leader for this particular mission, but of the people in technical authority positions Sumika cared little for listening or expressing default respect for anyone not named San. It didn't help that Ichiryu had both revealed their presence and prevented either of his fellow shinobi from acting. "Dontcha think, maybe, that the scout is gonna notice that he suddenly can't see? Cause of mist... in the land of Fire? And alert someone?" She asked indignantly. Even if Sumika'd had a puppet worth a damn, it'd be useless now. Ranged attacks? Useless. He'd located the base, sure, but they weren't supposed to be noticed. A bush would've worked just as well.

Sumika's worry was well placed, as when the mist rolled in, the scout was suddenly put on high alert. He pressed his finger to his ear as he pulled down a visor over his face, something capable of seeing heat signatures through the mist and turned his face a full 180, sensing a gathering of warmth. The kunai launcher was already loaded, and on instinct alone he pulled the lever, firing a volley of kunai faster than his enemies could have reacted after he raido'd back to base that there was trouble. As for his attack, the kunai would strike true, square in the center of Nise's face, and also piercing her heart. She would drop dead on the spot, perhaps a lesson to Ichiryu in not alerting your enemy to your presence on a scouting mission, or perhaps just a strange trick of fate from forces far and away outside of the Senju's control, but either way this scout was backing off and his allies were mobilizing to close in like angry bees.
Sumika was not about to stick around for this nonsense, and body flickered away.
[ Just a heads up that I'm extricating Sumika from this scenario. It seems like there's little motivation for this, I know I'm lacking it personally, and it's been almost a month since we started what was supposed to be a simple scouting mission. I get it if you're busy, I just like to have my RPC doing things than sitting here. Hopefully we can do something in the future.]
