Upon arriving back at the dressing room, Austin and his team celebrated. "Now that's what I'm talking about! Hell yeah!" You were panicking back here the whole performance~ Having been called out, Susan went from taken aback to growling like a feral.
Luckily, their trainer stepped in between them. "Oy, oy, none of that crap now," he said in his normal voice. "We're on the same team, right? Besides, everybody's a winner in a Pokemon Contest. When Austin answered the door, he put on his most proper smile and demeanor. "Yes, may I help you?" Standing in the doorframe was a serious looking woman, with a stack of binders and paperwork in her hands. "Mr. Tucksworth, I'm Natasha Anthrope with Coordinator Culture. I'll be the agent managing your career." Austin looked at Natasha, a little lost of words. He had expected a call from Isis, maybe a mailer he'd have to send in, but not an agent. "Oh! Um, please come in, Ms. Anthrope." She didn't waste anytime stepping into the dressing room. Her mere presence seemed to had such authority, that the Pokemon inside stopped being restless and stopped what they were doing. The agent took a seat near the vanity, and motioned for Austin to join her. "Now, you've completed the prerequisite necessary for sponsorship, albeit overboard," she started. "Nevertheless, you've shown that you and your Pokemon have the appropriate skills we like to sponsor. Now, let's go over the legalities."
It took hours to get through all of it, but Austin understood where he stood. Like Isis had said, he'd have to exclusively allow interviews with Coordinator Culture only. He'd need to remain a recognized contender in the Contest scene, and show up to different events and make special appearances if need be. "Which reminds me," Natasha added, "here." The agent handed an elaborate invitation to Austin, who eyed it curiously. "It's an invitation to the Winter Gala at the Parfum Palace. You'll be attending of course."
"Very well then. I suppose I can go. When is it?"

"Tonight? Why, I don't know how I can go to this tonight...I've only the one suit-" As if on queue, Natasha tossed a thickly filled envelope to Austin. "Your signing bonus. I'm sure you can find something presentable with this. Now, if you excuse me, I have other things to attend to." And with that, she was gone. Austin was surprised at how quickly things were happening. "Well, that's showbiz, I guess...well, let's see how much these buckos are paying me." Dallas and the gang went straight to their hotel when they were teleported back to Floraroma town. Dallas was beat, and was definitely ready for a nice rest. Beltigre seemed to share the sentiment as she let out a long, exaggerated yawn, and wriggled out of her trainer's grasp so she could stretch her legs. "Yeah, my thoughts exactly, Belltigre," yawned Dallas. They quickly went up to their hotel, and Dallas got himself out of his new tuxedo and into a wife-beater and a pair of track pants. "Much better."
Once he was comfy, he used Austin's phone to send some messages to his agent, Natasha. I had a marvelous time at the Gala. I met with Isis Nikon for an impromptu interview, and myself and Meloetta performed a song on stage. And Susan and I demonstrated our skills in a exhibition contest as well. I hope you find those deeds to your liking. He hadn't event waited a full minute before she texted back with a cometition schedule that he was to follow. "The ********? Another contest in just three days?" Beltigre looked up at Dallas and his outburst. "This is a little soon...we might have to do some serious training." But, that could wait til the morning. Dallas through the phone over to the night stand, and lied down for a good night's rest. It had been an exciting day, for sure, one he'd not soon forget about.

✪Walking Pokemon ⇨ Beltigre Dallas awoke from Beltigre licking his face. He grumbled and tossed and turned, trying to get a few more minutes of precious sleep. Beltigre wasn't having any of it, and darted down to her trainer's exposed foot, and gave his toes a bite. "Ah! Okay, okay, I'm up, you a**..." Dallas flopped his way up and out of his hotel bed, and let out a yawn. Beltigre hopped off the bed as well, and started scratching at the door. "What, you gotta poop or something?" The torracat looked down sheepishly, and that's when the smell hit Dallas' nose. "Oh, c'mon, Beltigre! You never did this before!" Dallas walked around the room, looking for something to clean up the mess. In the process, he picked up his burner phone. "I thought I got you to wait until nine-oh crap, it's one in the afternoon!" It was then clear that Dallas was much more tired than he originally thought. He looked at the sulking pokemon, and shrugged. "Okay, that's my bad, Bell. Let's get this cleaned up and hit the road."
After a quick shower and a quick cleanup (he'd have left it, but he'd need to find lodging again when he headed back into town), Dallas checked his berry tree pods that he had hung up in the window. He had quite a good bunch; Apicot, Micle, Starf, Spelon, and Belue berries made the branches hang low. After collecting the good berries, he placed a Pamtre berry into the soil. He then carefully packed it up into his duffle bag, slung the bag onto his back. "Okay, Beltigre, let's get going."

With Dallas shut in to the bathroom, Meloetta and Susan got to work as well. Upon Tamara's request, Susan popped out of her ball, and nodded eagerly. Yeah yeah! Susan help Stoneywall! The Dracovoir eagerly gathered up the pamtre berries and got to smashing them up, but with reserve, until they were made into a bluish paste. Hey Tam-Tam Stoneywall, sorry Dalpha is so grumpy, Susan mentioned as she worked. Dalpha takes contest much seriously. Dalpha said it was Dalpha's cally lifey thingy... Meleotta, who had been meditating on the bed, opened an eye to offer a correction. It's his life's calling, is what my pal Susan is trying to say, she remarked. While he's an angry person sometimes, 'Dalpha' really shines when he's up on that stage. In turn, his passion can turn very hostile, as you can see. Susan nodded in agreement as she used her clawed hands to slice up even portions of the berries. Kinda like Stoneywall and her fight against the mean nasty man in Ima-man-thorah, right?
Meanwhile, Dallas had finished up a quick shower, and was working on getting his hair and makeup finished. A very modest foundation, a smidgen of eyeliner, and a generous amount of hair spray was all it would take to get him looking presentable. As he started to get dressed, he looked up into the mirror, at his tattooed knuckles, his scrapes and bruises, and couldn't help but sigh. It's a real pain to have to do this every time. But, there was no time to worry about that. He looked in the mirror at his own scowl, forced a charming smile, and finished getting dressed to meet up with everyone else.
He stepped out of the bathroom, and Meloetta and Susan both looked up. Dalpha pretty! Susan exclaimed. Every girl's crazy 'bout a sharped dressed man, as the song goes! Meloetta commented. Austin waved away the compliments, and chuckled pleasantly. "Now, now now, we can compliment each other after we've won this ribbon. Speaking of, any progress, Meloetta?" The Melody Pokemon nodded, but appeared sheepish. I think I remember a move, but it's so foggy in my head. Austin rubbed his chin, but soon had a solution. "One moment, my dear!" A quick search in the makeup case produced two items: a heart scale, and a technical machine. "I had a move for you to learn, Meloetta, but first...hold this to your heart, and think strongly about that move." Meloetta did so, closing her eyes, and soon opened them wide. "I remembered! Wow! Thanks, Dallas!" He tussled her hair with a smile. "Of course, of course. You're always welcome."
He glanced over to Tamara to get a look at the progress on the Poffins. He furrowed his brow as he judged the poffins shrewdly, but he eventually shrugged his shoulders. "Well, not terrible, for a first timer, I suppose. Now, why don't you take a shower, you smell quite unpleasant." He went to get started on feeding Meloetta, but the Melody Pokemon and Susan both glared at him in a judging fashion. "Oh, all right, all right!" Austin furrowed his brow and crossed his arms, as looked back to Tamara. "Hey, thanks for putting up with me, and uh, sorry for being mean to you.So yeah, um, let's get ready, right?"

Temperance smiled kindly towards Susan and Meloetta. They both defended their trainer, while also apologizing for him. Temperance at the end shook her head. "It's fine. He's not the first person I've come across that was rough around the edges." The Captain of the guard was one such man. Sturdy and strong, hardly ever smiled, when he did it was somewhat... sadistic? Not an evil man by any means, he was just... tough to get along with. He didn't become captain for no reason after all. Under all that, he was still a good man, like Dallas. Chuckling a bit at Susan's attempt to pronounce her homeland's name, the blonde nodded. 'Yes, much like that." Though she wouldn't compare winning contests quite the same as saving an entire country, but there was no need to mention that.
Not much later, the Poffins were complete, waiting to be consumed on a laid out paper towel. Temperance herself had pulled off her jacket and laid back on the bed, with her eyes closed. With the back of her head propped up, her head found some relief from the hangover headache still somewhat ravaging her head. Dallas emerged from the bathroom, bringing with him a flood of smells both sweet and strong. Temperance sat up slowly to look over. He did look fetching, though something about it also seemed rather superficial to Temperance. She was of course bias, having lost interest in dressing fancy sometime around her 1600th ball. (Major exaggeration) Her face flat lined when 'austin' mentioned how she smelt. "Oh, but I like the smell of nature." She replied, fairly sarcastically. "I shouldn't be long, as I'm not trying to impress anyone." She added, stepped across to the bathroom, bag in tow. Turning last minute to look back towards Austin. She gave him a smile, catching his apology. He didn't seem the type to find that sort of thing easy. "Right. Thanks for putting up with my nobleness."
With that, Temperance disappeared into the bathroom. No more than 15 minutes later she reappeared fully dressed in what looked to be the same clothes she had on before, save cleaner. Her hair was still wet, which she was rubbing dry with a towel. It wouldn't be long before it was fully dry, so she wasn't to worried about it. Resting the towel across her shoulders. "When does your contest start? Would we have enough time to grab something to eat before hand? Or is that bad luck to get out on a stage with a full stomach?" She pondered. She didn't imagine Austin or Dallas as the type that threw up when nervous however.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Whatever." It was a simple response to Tamara's thanks, though a smile almost made it to his face before she turned away to go to the restroom. Dallas sat down on the edge of the bed, and shot a look to Meloetta and Susan. "That was real dirty of you two to try and make me feel guilty, you know." Susan lowered her head in shame, but Meloetta stood reserved. I've mentioned it before, but you've no reason to be mean to people like that! She's supposed to be your friend, right? Dallas scoffed, and adjusted his bow tie. "Yeah, whatever, I don't have any human friends. Well, I don't have more than one." He could tell by the Melody Pokemon's pouting that she didn't like the answer. "Look, Tamara's okay, I guess, and I guess she's like, an acquaintance at most...I mean, she's fun to drink with, if I remember right." He stood up, and went to give Meloetta her poffins to eat.
Does Dalpha wanna mate with Stoneywall? Dallas fumbled and almost dropped the poffins as Susan's question went through his head. "Susan! She thinks I'm a total thug, and I like N- well, none of your business, frankly." He handed over the puffy pastries to Meloetta, who scarfed them down once she realized the amazing taste. "Besides, she's tryin' to stage a friggin' coup d'etat and stuff. I doubt banging is anywhere in her master plan." Susan thought it over, and nodded in agreement. Okay, Dalpha make good points! Also, also, Dalpha would have to be a princey boy to mate with Stoneywall. Dallas cocked an eyebrow at the Dracovoir. "Huh? Why's that?" Susan crossed her arms, proud she knew something her trainer didn't for a change. Dalpha don't remember cuz of dizzy juice, but Stoneywall said, No mess with Princess! Her trainer only furrowed his brow. "Yeah, I think you might be wrong on that one, Suze. Her dad was the royal guard chief or whatever, not a king."

It was at that point that Tamara reemerged. Susan stopped arguing per Dallas' psychic request, and then Dallas put back on his best Austin impression, as it was time for them to head out. "The contest begins in a half hour," he replied to Tamara, "But, there's a rather nice cafe adjacent to the hall. If we're swift to act, we can get a bite to eat and make the contest." Susan decided to go back into her ball for now, but Meloetta decided to tag along so she and 'Austin' could talk strategy while they ate. Austin took up his bag for their contest supplies, and would lead the way to the cafe.

Tossing her jacket, pulling her still damp hair into a bun, the blonde turned to 'Austin' with a smile. "A cafe? I've always wanted to sit at one." Temperance replied, thinking back to a few books she'd been allowed to read that mentioned something about a cafe. Amarantha had a few popping up as well in Umbra's city, but she'd yet to enjoy one. Though, half an hour wasn't entirely to much time to sit and eat... they'd likely have to collect their meal and eat on the way to the contest hall. She didn't mind though. Food was food at this moment in time.
Everything settled, they headed towards this aforementioned cafe. Being appointed a seat right away, Temperance took a look over the menu, deciding on a icebox sandwich and what the waitress expressed was called an 'Americano'. She'd never had coffee before either, so this was certain to be an experience. As they sat, various van's passed by, each with some sort of company name that somewhat reflected the others. Temperance wasn't entirely stuck in the middle ages when it came to media presence. Even Amarantha and it's lack of television still had media. She just hoped she wouldn't be on someone's screen any time soon. Her disguise wasn't that good she figured. "Seems you'll be on everyone's television today, Austin." Temperance mentioned. "Well, anyone who's watching the contest." She added. Glancing back towards Austin, she caught something in the corner of her eyes. A woman a few tables behind them was reading a magazine, on it's cover was a full picture of Leona dragging Nick from the gala... She only recognized Leona at first, but that certain was the man she'd been with at the gala as well. "Oh dear... Looks like you're not the only one." Looks like Leona might have her hands full. It still was hard to believe someone could think they were really a knight from millenia ago, but it still worried Temperance.

✪Walking Pokemon ⇨ Meloetta! Once they were seated at the cafe, Austin ordered a club sandwich to share with Meloetta, and then separate drinks: a chai tea for her, a caramel macchiatto for him. He had wanted to jab Tamara for not having been to a cafe before, but in his current state of dress and demeanor, he stayed with the niceties instead. As they waited for their meal, Austin noticed Tamara watching some network vans heading next door. His companion's comment was an interesting thought; Austin had been on tv a few times, maybe not with him even noticing, or at the very least he was recorded. "That make sense, since this is a difficult ribbon to attempt to claim," he mused. "But, no matter. We'll still be able to win, despite the eyes on us, right, Meloetta?" The Melody Pokemon nodded, a surefire smile on her face. Absolutely! I think my training's going to pay off on the stage!
Just as their order arrived, Austin glanced over his shoulder to what Tamara had commented on. "Hm?" He noticed a somewhat familiar face on a magazine. "Isn't that Nikolaus Weiß, and that one strange woman that talks even more archaic than you do?" His curiosity peaked, he pulled out his phone to look up any sort of celebrity news that had come up, and lo and behold, a story emerged: "Famous Writer of Love Sucks Sucked Down too much Booze at the Annual Winter Gala!" Austin quickly scrolled through it, and tutted. "Well well! Looks like Mr. Weiß ended up three sheets to the wind back at the Gala. One must be careful about what you do in the public eye. That's why I do my drinking in private." He sipped at his macchiato as he read further. "Now, you spoke with that old-fashioned woman, yes? She seems to be Nikolaus' bodyguard. Perhaps you should give her a ring, see if they're all okay."
He then noticed the time, and quickly down the rest of his drink. "But! I recommend you do that on your time. We must be off!" Austin quickly got up after eating half of his sandwich and Meloetta took the rest, and they'd both usher Tamara to come along. But, before he ran off completely, he made sure to stop and pay for the meal. I can't dine n' dash when I'm dressed like this.

Temperance was in no place to decide whether or not difficulty was a word she'd use at obtaining a ribbon, she'd never seen one in person, though something did tell her that obtaining a ribbon was likely harder than getting a gym badge. She just hoped that the audience wasn't going to be a major vocal point for the said contest, as she didn't want to run the risk of being recognized. Even still, she was excited to see Austin in action during a authentic contest. The display he'd given back at the gala was still fairly fresh in her mind. "You'll both do amazingly, without a doubt." Temperance added.
Munching on her own sandwich, a BLT, she sipped at the americano, finding it's taste... decent. She wouldn't likely order it ever again, but for the time being it did what it needed to do; which was wake her up. Austin himself looked up something on his phone, given Temperance the scoop on what entirely was going on. It was hard being famous. If it'd been any other regular joe at some sort of club venue it wouldn't of made front page. "I feel bad for Leona, having to deal with all the paparazzi." Temperance muttered. "I'm sure Mr. Weiß is somewhat use to it, but Leona... Well, yes, I think I should contact them." Before she could get her phone out however, Austin noticed the time and they were off. Temperance quickly split the remainder of her sandwich between her own Pokemon before quickly catching up with Austin.
Once she was sure of where they were going, Temperance pulled out her phone and began typing as she ran, a feat to be sure, one that took her several times to get right but eventually the text was done. Sending it off, she hoped for a replay soon. Though Austin was indeed going to be the center of her attention.

Good morning, Mr. Weiß, This is Tamara, from the Gala. I saw in the paper some unflattering images of yourself, and I was just a bit worried. For both yourself, and Miss Cardonell. Has the paparazzi bothered you much? I hope the flashing camera's and lacking sense of privacy that those barbarian's often come with isn't bothering her to much. I'm going to be watching Austin, the male who was with me at the Gala, participate in a contest so I may not reply right away, but please let me know how the both of you are doing.

✪Walking Pokemon ⇨ Meloetta! Once they had made it to the Floraroma Contest Hall, Austin had went to Will Call to check in and receive his '+1' ticket to give to Tamara. "Here you are, Ms. Stonewall," he said kindly. "They're relatively good seats, so do enjoy the show. I hope Meloetta and myself give you a performance worth forgiving my crass nature from earlier." He offered a nice smile, but quickly retired to the backstage area; there was much to prepare for. He and the Melody Pokemon made their way through the maze of Back-of-House area, until they found the dressing room.
However, instead of the usual single-sized room he often used, he was directed to the deluxe room. Looks like they think I'm top s**t now! Right on! So, it was all the more surprising when he and Meloetta stepped inside only to be greeted by three cameramen pointing their cameras right at them. Austin stopped mid-step, and raised an eyebrow. "I'm sorry...have I the wrong dressing room?" While the cameramen didn't answer, a familiar face appeared from hallway: His agent, Miss Anthrope. "Mr. Tucksworth, right on time." She spoke in her curt and 'no buts' manner as she tapped onto a tablet and muscled past her talent. "These people are here to record footage for a documentary about your opponent, DJ M3LL0W D33." Austin had more questions, like 'who the hell is DJ M3LL0W D33?' And, as if to answer that, a a young woman with bright blue hair came into the room, shoving past Austin just as Ms. Anthrope did. "AYYY LMAO! It's ya gurl, DJ M3LL0W D33! Comin' to ya live from Floraroma Contest Hall!" The cameras turned to the raver/DJ, and which gave Austin an opertune moment to scowl while no one was looking at him. Wow, she's..different. Meloetta didn't seem to care for the loudness of the woman, but she was still kind enough to be polite about it. She's annoying as hell, is what she is. But, I guess I should play the game. Austin stepped forward, and offered a gloved had for a handshake with his opponent. "Ms. Dee, allow me to introduce myself. My name is-"
M3LL0W D33 slapped Austin's hand away with a smirk on her face. "Yeah, I know you, boy! You're that fancy boy that did that little song n' dance at that lame asf Winter Gala." Taken aback but still smiling, Austin withdrew his hand. "Once I saw that, I knew that you'd be the best fool for me and my girl Dazzle to trounce for our album promo!" Noticing the confusion in Austin's eyes, Ms. Anthrope quick elaborated. "Dj M3LL0W D33 has a new album coming out, and has been competing in Beauty Contests for PR. She reached out to CC, and I elected you to be her opponent." Austin kept his smile, but he was simmering under the surface. So, she's just some poser that's only doing this for some lame as mixtape bullshit? People like this piss me off more than anything! Meloetta was about to reassure her trainer, but an announcement came over the intercom system: "Attention competitors! You have fifteen minutes to prepare your Pokemon for the Presentation Round!" It was time to get to work, and quick!
While Austin started shampooing Meloetta's hair, the Melody Pokemon kept glancing over at her opponent, a Milotic that DJ M3LL0W D33 called Dazzle. Good luck, Dazzle! I hope we both have fun out there! The Milotic made a cooing call, which Meloetta quickly interpreted. Oh, your name is Gladiola! And she's not your usual trainer? I see. It would seem that the human coordinator for Gladiola was really just doing this for more selfish reasons. Hey, Dallas? I really, really don't like this lady. Let's beat her, okay? The competitive thought was rare for her, and it made her coordinator grin. Absolutely, Meloetta. Let's show her what a real coordinator looks like! After combing hair, applying a little makeup, and preparing the presentation outfit, it was time for the second half of the Presentation Round.
Out front, people took their seats in the hall. It was a rather packed hall that particular day, but Tamara would have no problem finding a seat, as she would have a reserved one near the front, marked "Guest of A. Tucksworth". The three judges were already in their places to the middle and side, already preparing pen and paper for notes. And finally, the lights dimmed and others focused on the stage as a smart-dressed woman took the stage. "Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to the Floraroma Contest Hall! Are you ready for another dazzling contest?!" The audience gave cheers and clapping in response. "My thought exactly! Today, we take the concept of Beauty as our forefront category! And, as many classical musicians would attest, Music has been known to bring upon a beauty that art and written word cannot define! Which brings us to the twist of today's contest: A Beauty Musical Royale!" More cheers and applause rang out, before the announcer was able to get control of the crowd. "Let's save our cheers for our contestants! First, we have a real celebrity with us tonight! Known as a trend-setting artist for the younger crowd, her 2-time gold record wins prove that she knows her stuff! Let's hear it for DJ M3LL0W D33, and her Milotic, Dazzle!" When D33 and Gladiola (who almost forgot she was being called something else for this contest) stepped out from stage left, the hall let loose with extreme fanfare. And when Gladiola used Aqua Tail and the water glistened and caught the lights just perfectly, the fanfare grew even larger. "And, for their opponent, we have an up-and-coming Coordinator that made his debut right in this hall! Let's give it up for Austin Tucksworth and Meloetta!" They stepped out to a humble amount of applause, and Meloetta looked sharp in her black cape and blue scarf, making her look almost like a old-time thespian, and her new move Signal Beam let out a dazzling display of glitter that drummed up more appeal, but nowhere near as much as the Milotic. "And now that introductions are finished, the Performance Round can begin!"
For the Performance Round, both Pokemon had to sing and perform to music tracks, all while trying to incorporate the essence of Beauty. The Problem was, the music had to be from DJ M3LL0W D33's new album, #MUS1C. All of her music was deep based, heavily synthed pop music, And, as Meloetta was quick to mention to Austin, she HATED it. And more importantly, she didn't know how to sing or dance to it. So, as the round went on, Meloetta struggled to keep up with the better-suited Gladiola and D33. Austin did his best get into the music without overshadowing his own Pokemon; he could dance to stuff like this, thanks to his street life, but he wasn't the star here. Okay, Meloetta, let's run some interference. We can't beat 'em at their own game, so let's just try to stall them out. Meloetta agreed, and as she tried desperately to pop n' lock, she used Signal Beam to draw more attention to her than the Milotic. "Aw, that's cute! Let's see whatcha think of this dank move!" D33 swayed her hips as she gave Gladiola the order for to perform a combo. And it was clear that Gladiola was trained quite well by someone, as she was going to pull it off flawlessly. "Meloetta, Signal Beam again!" The Melody Pokemon did so just as Gladiola made an elaborate display of waterworks. It would've devastated Meloetta and Austin, but the judges were more busy critiquing the latter; they intentionally used the same move twice in a row to stall up D33 and Gladiola, meaning that all the excitement that a combination would bring went unnoticed. Too close, Dallas! We made it, but what're we gonna do now?
It was a very good question, and as the Performance Round ended and an intermission started, Austin still didn't have an answer. In an attempt to escape the constant cameras, Austin and Meloetta ducked into a janitor's closet. Meloetta slumped down against a shelf of cleaning supplies while Austin used an upturned bucket as a stool. "This is bullshit! We should be kicking their asses right about now!" He crossed his arms and grumbled to himself. I'm sorry, Dallas, Meloetta replied. I just can dance to this erratic garbage music! It's so...it just makes me so grumpy! She pouted, puffing out her cheeks. "Oy, it's not your fault, Meloetta," he replied softly. "The odds are definitely against us on this one.It's our turn to pick a song for the Battle Round, so lemme just thumb through her shitty tracks and find one that- well, well, well! Ain't that something!" Meloetta perked up, and went over to her coordinator's side to look at the list of tracks. Only one caught her eye, and it was same one Austin was looking at. "You thinking what I'm thinking?" Meloetta grinned, and nodded enthusiastically. Definitely! Let's do it!
"Okay, ladies and gentlemen, the Battle Round will soon begin! Austin and Meloetta have picked the track for this Round, and have the first move! Meloetta, Austin, in your own time!" The duo took to center stage first, with D33 and Gladiola coming in from the other side. It was quiet for just a moment before the next track kicked in. It was a tune that Meloetta, Austin, and Tamara would all be familiar with, even with the synth remix added to it. With newfound confidence, Meloetta belted out the first lines of the song while producing a shimmer of glitter with Signal Beam. Austin quickly stepped to it as well with Meloetta, who was able to find her footing with the remix of her latest favorite song. This caught DJ M3LL0W D33 off guard, and she quickly overreacted. "Crap! Dazzle, use Round!" The Milotic did its best to accompany Meloetta in the singing as the pop star started to bust a move, but all it did was set up Meloetta's own Round, which created a pitch-perfect melody. So far, so good! Let's keep it up! When the bass was dropped, Austin took the initiative and started to lay down some toprock break dancing, just enough to accompany Meloetta without betraying his dandy appearance. Once Meloetta saw the stepping, she quickly joined in as well, putting the two of them in perfect sync. Just a glance over to their opponent made it clear that they weren't just winning, but they were pissing off DJ M3LL0W D33. She beckoned Gladiola to disrupt the two of them, and the Milotic did so with a large wave of water coming right for them. And while it did disrupt the two of them, they used the fact that they were swept of their feet to their advantage. Okay, use Relic Song, change forms, and then just tuck and spin like me, okay? The mental message was received, and Meloetta did just that. The haunting note made Gladiola nervous, just enough to keep her from reacting to what happened next: Now in her pirouette form, she and Austin both started to spin...and spin...and flip and spin some more! From the momentum alone, Meloetta's cape and Austin's coat jacket started to slip and come off, so with a mental countdown, they both flipped back to their feet on one, both of them clutching their garments over their shoulder, nonchalantly. As if the crowd wasn't already erupting into cheers and calls for encore, the hall became a cacophony of praise and exclamations. Austin and Meloetta bowed, as did Gladiola.
But DJ M3LL0W D33 looked positively furious. "Are freaking kidding me?! This is my gig, you a*****e!" Luckily for her, she couldn't be heard over all of the cheering, and all but Austin and Meloetta heard her. "Oh, you misunderstand! You've stepped onto my stage! And I don't let anybody show me up on my stage." He was all smiles, but his eyes ran daggers right through the pop star, making her flinch. He'd kept the glare going, if it wasn't for the head judge standing up to give the results. All fell quiet at that time. "Ladies and Gentlemen, after careful deliberation, we have come to a decision. Today's winners of this Exhibition Beauty Contest are...Austin Tucksworth and Meloetta!" As the cheers nearly took the roof off of the building, Meloetta went wide-eyed before tearing up. I won? We won?!? I won my first contest! I'm -sniff- so happy! She was provided with a bouquet of flowers, as was Austin, who stood completely still as he smiled proudly. However, one probe into his thoughts showed he was not quite as happy as he appeared. Exhibition...this so-called Cin Ribbon contest was....JUST AN EXHIBITION!?!?! He was going to have to kill his agent, that much was certain. But...he and Meloetta still did a wonderful job, maybe the best yet; would he have done as good a job if he knew it was just a PR stunt for some worthless poser? Probably not. Speaking of poser, DJ M3LL0W D33 was nowhere to be seen. It looked as if she stormed off when she lost. It didn't matter to Austin, though; instead, he would just take in the applause with Meloetta. He'd have to find Tamara after all of it was said and done, but for now, it was he and Meloetta's moment.

After receiving her ticket from Austin, Temperance took her leave, quickly going off to find her seat. That was far more challenging than it would seem. Temperance was used to sitting front and center at any sort of social gathering... rather sitting on a lofted throne to look over everyone else. Here in the contest hall she was stuck in the thick of it. The few people she tried to ask directions from were kind enough to point her in the right direction, but none actually stopped to help her actually find her seat. Thankfully, Din was there to assist. Once she'd made it to her seat, the announcer began to speak. It seemed she'd made it just in time to see both contestants arrive. First was a young woman with bright blue hair, accompanying her, a Milotic. While everyone around Temperance erupted into cheers, the blonde merely clapped. She was here for Austin after all. When it came to his appearance, the clapping wasn't quite as robust, but Temperance took her chance to call out to Austin and Meloetta. "Do your best and have fun!" Whether she was heard or not she wasn't sure.
Into the performance round, Temperance found herself sinking back into her chair while others cheered a shouted praise. She was apparently surrounded by people dawned with glow-in-the-dark attire. A girl she was sitting next to noticed how uncomfortable Temperance was. She sat down and leaned in close to the blonde. "Not your cup of tea?!" The girl shouted. Temperance looked over nodded with a bit of an embarrassed look in her gaze. "That's fine. This is kinda different for beauty contests, I'm only here for my best friend, she digs this DJ chick so hard! Haha." Temperance glanced up to see the best friend in question. Devotion to an artist was one thing, but this girl was decked in merchandise that was being sold in the main lobby... she was in love. "I can see that!" Temperance replied. The girl nodded. Pulling off one of her twenty-something bracelets she handed it over to Temperance, then offered her a still sealed back of ear plugs. "I love her to death, but I even have my limits!" Temperance chuckled and for a moment a foreign feeling came over Temperance... a good foreign feeling. Was this what it was like to bond with another female her own age?
Whatever the case, the performance round was done, and now it was time for the battle round. Temperance was on the edge of her seat at this point, watching each move being unleashed. When a large wave of water flew at Austin and Meloetta, Temperance jumped to her feet, pumping her fist and shouting. "Go, Austin, Go!" She was so in the moment she didn't even realize how unrefined she was being at that moment. Even after the battle round ended the cheering was still filling up the contest hall, and when Austin and Meloetta were announced as the winners, Temperance couldn't help herself but cheer along with them. Following the crowd out into the lobby, Temperance was shocked when she was pulled to the side by an usher, he mentioned she could go and meet with Austin in his changing room if she wanted. Agreeing to this, the usher pushed his way through the crowd, Temperance in tow. Luckily they got there before to large of a crowd had formed, though getting into the room and shutting the door behind them was easier said than done.

✪Walking Pokemon ⇨ Meloetta! It was great to get out of the crowds and back into a nice, comfy sitting room. Austin and Meloetta had ended up signing tons of autographs and taking pictures with many different fans (even a few of DJ M3LL0W D33's), but as he had promised Isis and Coordinator Culture, he declined all interviews until CC got their exclusive first. "Sorry, but I'm a kept man, so to speak! In the meantime, take care, and stay charming!" He almost cringed at his own cheesy sendoff, and had shut the door behind him. He and Meloetta both let out a sigh of relief before grinning like thieves and laughing loudly at their good fortune. The rest of the crew were already there, and joined in on the celebrating by surrounding the two (all but Riptide, who realized his large frame meant it was harder to cuddle his beloved Meloetta). MELOETTA AND DALPHA ARE BESTEST! SUCH ACTION! MUCH DANCING! LOTS OF WOW! Susan's review of the event seemed to be a collaboration with the rest, as Buns, Duchess, Beltigre and Riptide all seemed to be riled up by the performance as well. Aw, you're too kind! My dear, dear friends give me peace of mind...thanks so much! Meloetta proceeded to give hugs to everyone (including Riptide, who grunted as happily as he could), while their trainer simply smiled and laughed. "Aw shucks, we did okay, I guess," he answered modestly.
All eyes turned towards the door as Tamara and Din forced their ways inside. "Oh hey! Glad you made it back here!" The coordinator ushered Tamara towards the sectional couch, which Austin proceeded to plop down on. "I'd ask you if you liked the show, but seeing as how you were totally screaming your head off out there for me, I think I know the answer!" He smirked, but he was genuinely grateful. "Seriously, having a fangirl cheering you on can really help take the edge off of things. Like that friggin' poser. Thinkin' she could just come out here and get handed a win. Not on my turf, no ma'am!" Meloetta bopped her trainer on the head softly. Let's not be so negative! We won a contest! My first contest, to be exact!
