As for people to talk to, I know Elena and I are always lurking around here atleast once a day at some point. |

ok. i srsly need some schedule fixins. i forgot to take out the trash AGAIN yesterday cuz i forgot it was tuesday, and i'm falling behind on the dishes. emotion_donotwant
* makes flow chart * i need to be like, every day at x, check all the trash cans and empty them, then check to see if it's tuesday and if not, proceed to Step 2: do dishes, afterward, check guild and be sociable. scream ! I MUST STOP LETTING MY LIFE PASS ME BY.
ALSO I HATE HOMOPHOBIC PEOPLE, AND I THINK IF U DON'T LIKE GAY MALE STUFF U SHOULDN'T WATCH SHOWS OR PLAY GAMES WITH OBVIOUS DELIBERATE GAY UNDERTONES. THERE IS PLENTY OF STRAIGHT CRAP FOR U TO BE INTERESTED IN, SO WATCH SOMETHING ELSE.

but i was quite proud of this little guild still going while so many others died almost immediately. :'3 and i really feel like the only reason there isn't more people here is because gaia isn't like it was back then, wen the rp/cosplay thing was more common.

People on the site often ask me why I stick to old fandoms and I do so because it's usually how you find the "old people" (yikes, sorry anyone xD). Those old fandoms tends to garber people who can still remember how to write in full sentences and develop a story with proper pacing and without text chat. Of course, I'm not saying that younger people, over all, can't write, but I am suggesting that that group is no longer drawn towards gaia. crying |

If I had the time I used to have back when I was in a former guild and it was thriving, I'd bring some of those concepts over to this one, and I might from time to time, if I find the time do something amusing that we did in the last one. ( which will follow along with the report I need to write up yet. )

yeh i stumbled by that and was like "that looks familiar, have i been in that guild before?" * browses for the nostalgia * and then just, got really mad at how they were talking even though it was an ANCIENT thread but whatever u post on the internet is there forever to bother people years after u say it lol. and i was like MURR ANNOYED and then went on with my day. i try not to be negative and like, i had a whole rant typed in the box and then deleted it cuz i'm trying really hard not to be hateful and talk about negative things.
maybe some of what bugged me is i've had to deal with this homophobia nonsense all my life, and like, i decided i don't want to be like them, i don't want to be just like the people that i don't like and act the same way they do. and so for our current comic in the series we're doing on dA, there's one that focuses on a straight couple and on the one hand it doesn't really have a lot to do with the main story and could just be skipped, since we have so much to do and so little time. but i wanted to do it anyway to like, be more accepting, and open, and be like, "these people are different from me but that's ok, i still like these characters" and such or something...
anyway going out of my way to do that ( drawing a comic takes a LOT of time and work and effort and u really gotta care about what ur doing ) and then other people just being asses in a thread just, it just rubbed me wrong that morning lol. and like, it's hard to be accepting of people who don't accept u, and hard to know that those kinds of people will prolly be all "well i like this strip u did but i don't read the gay ones" u know, things like that.
but i dont' want to be like those people, so even tho this isn't *really* super important to our plot, i decided to draw it anyway, cuz i've never done something like this before, and i didn't want to be a "well i only like stuff like myself" kind of person...
but ah yeh as for good roleplayers, i feel that like... cuz back in the day, there were 2 kinds of people, those who worked really hard on a good avatar, who were usually cosplayers irl so they were just naturally into and good at making character outfits, and the ones who were into roleplaying, which is text, which meant most of those people weren't into art or knew anything about it, so they either didn't know how to make a nice avatar or just didn't care. and so well, they weren't too popular on gaia because the point of gaia IS the avatars... and personally even tho i tried to be fair, i worked hard on my avatar and spent time earning money, so seeing someone else just either not try, or just be lazy, well... and so i noticed a lot of people into RP were leaving gaia, because "nobody will talk to u if u don't have a nice avatar." and well... i know that's unfair but well, there's text-only rp sites without avatars for that. and that's exactly where those people went.
nowadays gaia doesn't have many ugly items left. u have to really go out of ur way on purpose to look ugly, lol. back then tho, gaia had a lot of ugly stuff and all the pretty things were expensive. now even the cheap items are pretty these days. but everyone's already gone now.
i feel like the RP + avatar thing, doesn't really mix well, but THAT'S what i liked about gaia. i liked having an avatar so u didn't have to post an image every time or show people what ur character looked like and whatever... and i liked the kinda RPs where it's like, current, like, if u put something silly on ur avatar people react to that.
so i understand why those people left but i'm not sure why the peopel who WERE into rp + avatars also left. back then cosplay avatars were hard and really expensive and u had to be really clever... now they're easy to make. i think that drove people off. but if u were in it just to impress people with ur avatar u were in it for the wrong reasons to begin with i think. but at the same time, back then, if u had a good avatar it usually meant u were serious about that character and spent a long time getting them just right, and now well anyone can do it in five minutes and change their mind tomorrow.
but anyways i love talking to u guys tho and sorry i've not been around. ;x; in truth i just forgot about the guild. gonk and then was complaining that there was never anyone on skype to talk to and people on dA barely speak to me and all along there was u guys here at the guild and gosh i just feel so stupid. >< * hands out cake and raises for everyone * i need to spend more time here, cuz it's rare to find people online that stick around like this, don't just talk a bit and then they're gone in a day or two.
