With that miniature crisis averted and Pooka now walking with them again, the three returned to their prior business. A lomi lomi ball was a good find. Didn't the make Pokemon friendlier when caught with them? He wondered when he should try using it and on what Pokemon. Maybe an Eevee....An Espeon or Umbreon would be awesome. Though, a Sylveon wouldn't be so bad either. All of Eevee's evolutions were cat enough for him.

Meowth went down and Alejandro couldn't grab a ball fast enough. He didn't even pay attention to which ball he'd grabbed; it really didn't matter. As long as it worked. And, it did. After a few violent shakes, the ball stilled and dinged. Things were quiet for a couple seconds as Alejandro registered he'd finally caught an Alolan Meowth and he beamed. "Yes! Nice work, Destello!" Alejandro picked up the ball and laughed a bit. A luxury ball. How fitting. At least it didn't break when he threw it. That'd have sucked. "Let's go get her healed up so we can meet her. I think I'll call her Camila....That's a nice name, don't you think?" "Shi." "Rock!"

Returning to the Pokemon Center with a beaming smile, Alejandro handed Camila's ball over to the nurse and leaned forward on the counter to wait for the Meowth's return. Hopefully she wasn't as stuck up as she looked. Well, regardless, she was his now and that was that. If she had an awful personality, he would just have to deal with it.

The nurse returned Camila and Alejandro, in a good mood, gave her a joyful thank you before leaving the center with Destello and Pooka following him. Now was the moment of truth. Letting Camila out of her ball, Alejandro knelt and kept Pooka from excitedly approaching the Meowth so she didn't upset her. "So, you're one of Alola's Meowth....You're not as weird-looking as people say in person. I think you're actually really cute." Camila looked up at him before looking him over and mimicking his knelt position. Or, well, tried to mimic it. Her short legs made it difficult, but he laughed a bit. She was a silly one.
