I hope that you can continue your journey in accumulating the rest of the eggs.” The nurse gave a small bow and made her way back to help the other Trainers. Misa looked to the bird Pokemon while placing her Pokemon back onto her belt while placing the egg into her PC. ”I’d say it is about time that we head off to our next destination, don’t you think?” She was already heading out the door with the bird Pokemon right behind her.

Ashley thought about name choices on the flight to Pastoria. He didn’t have quite the range to choose from but a few ideas came to mind during the trip. He slipped off the rider and looked at their surroundings; Pastoria was technically on the edge of a swamp, but it was still very nice. Maybe in his search for a name, it was worth taking some time to bond a little more. Eevee was already beginning to rush forward to try and locate the next egg in the swamp-style town and so Ashley opted to pick up the pace a bit to catch up with her. She was quick, that one, which was both impressive and annoying. As he followed her through some of the taller grass, shuffling from nearby caught his attention.

Ashley scowled as a Staravia suddenly burst from the nearby grass, trying to snatch up Eevee. The little fox chirped in surprise and ducked out of the way in a roll. Without hesitation, the French man pulled out a pokeball and chucked it forward, sending Odilon out to confront the pokemon. The black Swanna spread his wings in a stretch, narrowing a gaze as the Staravia faced off against him.
"Odilon. Ice Beam," Ashley commanded and the Swanna gave a nod, immediately launching a ray of concentrated frozen furry right into the Staravia’s face. The other bird pokemon gave a squawk of terror, launching up into the air and avoiding being chilled in place. In a fit of rage it dove and struck Odilon in the air, causing the Swanna to wince and launch back with an attack of his own. That seemed to be enough for the Staravia, who gave another squawk of defeat before fleeing back into the nearby trees.

Ashley waltzed over to Odilon, quickly pulling free one of the few potions he had available on his person to administer to the pokemon. The Swanna only winced a bit as he was healed, maintaining a regal stance as though it was only the slightest of skirmishes he’d ever had to deal with it. Once he was topped off, Ashley returned the pokemon to his ball, glancing over to check on Eevee. She’d certainly seemed startled by the sudden attempt to be snatched up and he wanted to make sure she was okay.

The little brown fox didn’t remain startled for long, it seemed. As Ashley looked up, he noted that once more she’d disappeared. He remained in place a moment, frown tentative across his face as he attempted to locate her, spotting her only as she came skipping through the grass with another egg in her mouth. It seemed that she would not be dissuaded from her mission and this showed. Still, Ashley was now double thinking allowing her to wander off on her own. At least, for a little bit. He took the egg and tucked it away, scooping the Eevee up and summoning the rider pokemon. It was off to a new region now for them; he’d judge if it was okay to let her be on her own once they go there.

He'd never been to Sinnoh before, and while Huey was aware that he was on a 'mission' and didn't have the time to actually explore the new city, he did feel that he'd at least have the chance to explore part of the city as he searched for the egg. Once she was done, he gently took back the empty bowls under one arm, and with the other he gestured for her to join him inside the Center. She declined, with a shake of the head, before she alighted into the air and perched herself into the top of the nearest tree; she made it clear that she would be staying there throughout the rest of the night.

Leaving Staraptor to rest in her tree, Huey headed back inside to feed the rest of his pokemon and grab himself dinner as well. Once they were all fed, he shuffled his way up into the room and allowed a warm, and bubble filled, bath to get himself ready for bed before he slipped underneath the covers. He fell asleep seconds after his head hit the pillow, and slept peacefully throughout the night only to be awoken by the soft nudging of Yuki, who had released herself from her pokeball throughout the night and had a surprise waiting for him. Huey yawned and blinked sluggishly, needing a minute for his sight to focus before he recognized the oval shape of an egg, resting in Yuki's palm. He yawned again. "Did you... go out last night to look for this?" he asked slowly, pushing himself up into a sitting position and pushing his hair out of his face.
Yuki, with the widest and purest of grins, nodded eagerly before she thrust the egg forward, insisting that her trainer take it. "You shouldn't have done that, Yuki. You need your sleep too," he scolded gently. "But.... thank you. I really appreciate it." Huey swung his legs out from over the bed, and after taking the egg and putting it in his bag he proceeded to get dressed for the day, then head down to the cafeteria to stock up on breakfast. He was still chewing rapidly as he walked outside of the Pokémon Center, holding Staraptor's breakfast, and was met with the bird as she swooped down in front of him. She gave a grateful cry before she began to eat, and afterwards she shook herself and waited for Huey to return the bowls before he climbed onto her back and settled in for the next flight.

Pastoria didn't feel quite the same as her previous visit. The marshlands surrounding the city reeked of mud and pond scum, and Scarlett got enough of a whiff flying in to make her want to gag. She needed this egg, sure, but she certainly wasn't going to go rooting around in the mud like a grumpig for it. Landing near the pokemon center, Scarlett quickly moved inside into the artificial, but far better smelling air before releasing Vandal. "Go on and find the egg here, I'll get us some lunch." Scarlett suggested dully, turning towards the cafeteria. Vandal quirked an eyebrow, but ended up shrugging and heading towards the door.

Under any other circumstances Scarlett likely would have forced Vandal out into the marshes in spite of any complaints, but she knew that if she did, he'd be bitter and uncooperative, and then there was the matter of hosing him down afterwards and cleaning any mud from his fur to remove the lingering stench, which was the last thing Scarlett wanted to deal with. There had to be some alternative. Scarlett pulled up the map of the land, looking for any landmarks or places of interest besides the marsh where an egg might have been placed, while Vandal's ears flicked, picking up on something. "Hey... Do they have a train here?" He asked curiously. Scarlett furrowed her brow in thought as she looked over her map again. "Huh... Yeah, runs through the city and into the great marsh so that people daen't have ta trek through the mud to get to certain--" Scarlett paused, looking at Vandal with a grin. A few minutes later, Scarlett and Vandal were riding the train down through the heart of the city, keeping an eye out for any signs of their prize. "I'll bet ya we'll get this one. No one probably wanted to go muckin' through this stuff to find an egg." Vandal suggested. "Yeah, ya're ********' brilliant, hearin' that train whistle. I owe ya one." Scarlett suggested with a grin. This was far better than walking through the marshes, and riding on the train made the smell not nearly as bad with the fresh wind blowing slightly in their faces. Every now and again they stopped at a new station and took turns using the binoculars to glance around the marsh for any signs of an egg hiding tucked away somewhere in the swampy foliage. Vandal was feeling pretty good himself. This was probably the first time he and Scarlett had really... Worked together on any sort of mutual basis. It wasn't so bad after butting heads a few times.
