Natsumi would enter the room to find a massive hole blasted in the side of the building. Clearly a hole made in a haphazard escape. This was formerly a room to be slept in by the looks of it. Laying down on the bed was a Neko-nin. Looking at the ceiling. At least that's what it appeared to be. Her companion was nowhere to be seen. As before, whatever was causing Natsumi's sensory abilities to be on the fritz was still fully active as any attempts to perform sensory abilities would be met with headache. Is a casual an uncaring manner she seemed relaxed, although to say the least she was a bit irate.
"Guessin your the one who killed Ryouken by the smell of you. If you're lookin for all the smelly squid folk, they're in the basement. Go ahead and let em out. He doesn't need them anymore anyway. We were gonna kill em all but you just happened to show up... still that's up in the air now. Seeing as white coat is up an on his way outta here. The neko-nin yawned. Natsumi before was the web weaver but what seemed to be the case now was an array of several options. Whoever this white coat was he was gone after getting whatever 'this thing' was that he needed. "Good luck catchin up if you think you can, if you do I'll just have free reign killing all them squid folk while you try n track him down...Pfff assuming they aren't already dying. White coats always been kind of a big jerk like that. " The Neko-nin attached the extra threat. That if Natsumi pursued the now dot across the island in the sky she'd straight up kill all the villagers. Additionally the neko-nin imposed that at this very second the squid people, likely Toso included were already on the path to dying via some other method aside the neko-nin herself...meaning did Natsumi really have time to be having this conversation.
~~Meanwhile~~ Over in the sky near the west coast where the Unki squad was overhead a man would start becoming visible. A man in the sky flying with some form of pack that was utilizing chakra in a way to produce propulsion. In short a chakra jetpack. Aside from this the man seemed to be wearing a labcoat and a respirator and was certainly not of a very intimidating frame. Looking down one could only assume he wasn't pleased with what he saw as he immediately veered to travel Northwest bound instead of directly west where the group was.

The clone decided to do something about the device in the building as it was giving her a migraine. Sighing she focused and shot her wet at it from her mouth. Eventually spitting the web out and grabbing it with her hands. Then as mightily as she could, with most of the work being provided by her webs, she would throw the device over her head and smash it on the ground on the other side. She would then keep the momentum up and spin it round and round before letting go of the web and watching it soar through the building. That is.... if her plan would work.
Natsu didn't hesitate as the cat woman said she was going to kill everyone or rather another man did. So she summoned a clone with her knife and unsummoned it at the same time. Shooting the knowledge she had to her clone downstairs. Her clone wasted no time in rushing to the basement ignoring the device in hopes that her plan to destroy it indeed work. Rushing downstairs she wasted no time in bursting through the door. Her body ready to fight anyone in there even though she was a clone. Natsu had a reputation to uphold after all.
The real Natsu was upstairs with the cat lady knowing damn well her kitty was nearby. She didn't need to be a sensor for anything like that to see it. She would strike first and set up a stage for the two as she would try to do something different with this woman. She quickly shot out six webs at the woman trying to capture her and pin her to the wall. Should she get hit by even one of them it would be a nightmare to get out of it. Even then the webs covered a large area being three by three feet each. She kept two hidden within her mouth and acted like that was it with the web and took a defensive stance.

The device in question that the clone attacked spun around and being mangled suffice to say was overkill. As the stone atop of it lost its color. The migraines in this instance would leave and like that her sensory abilities would come back to her. They would come back to her in the moment the neko-nin was pinned to the wall. She showed little resistance and it would be revealed why shortly.
Kicking down the basement door immediately came a beep and a pinging noise. Only after this would the clone find its senses starting to clear from its headache. Then an explosion ocurred not unlike the ones the wolves had produced. Though the scale was smaller the explosion was more condensed sending wooden shrapnel everywhere. If the clone somehow managed to survive this 5 foot radius explosion she would see the basement was a simple one used to store food, but then she would see another flight of stairs leading to a metallic door wide open that led into an unknown depth. This was clearly not a door that was part of the building, and now that the device blocking her sensory perceptions were gone she'd be able to see that below was a man made structure of cubic design made of metal was beneath. Additionally 22 chakra signatures...with one being incredibly faint.
Back to the real Natsumi, the pinned neko-nin chuckled. "Man you must be some kinda dumb, to think I'd just leave myself open like that." With sensory abilities returning it was clear that the neko-nin in question was a clone. "Pft, I bailed a long time ago. Like heck I was gonna die for that loser in a lab coat. Aaaanyway, should probably check on them squid peeps, an whoever detonated coats bomb...cuz I wasn't lying bout them probably being dead. I'm out." The shadow clone would then poof away as to where the real Neko-nin was, probably long gone by the sounds of her taunt as Natsumi's sensory abilities wouldn't be able to detect her within its current limits.

Behind the boulder Unki didn’t readily register the means taken to remove impact anticipated. A thud was all to come. She looked at Kaneo and Mitsuki before pulling back from the rock. She arched her neck to look above and behind to see nothing. She looked at Mitsuki, perplexed, and pointed in the direction behind.”I-it’s… gone?“Kaneo’s comment confirmed her suspicions. Unki perked right up from that point and bounced away from the rock. ”Great great!“
She spun around once: thus she caught sight of Xion and Shion. Unki stopped. The sight of the delinquent pair made her small brow twitched. When the pair reached the group Unki looked as if she was about to burst with fiery words fueled by thought of being disobeyed. Her cheeks were turning red before exhaling a normal, plain, old puff of air. No steam. No heat. Unki’s expression was a combination of hurt, angry, and concerned all conflicted into one mess. ”WELL?” Her demand was clear, however, her voice carried an annoying shrill in her tone.

After she confirmed that the cat lady was no longer a threat to the hojo people Natsu took off like a bat out of hell. Her legs carrying her quickly through the building as she jumped to the ladder and slide down it to the chakra signatures. Her mind was going at a million miles an hour right now as she appeared at the bottom of the ladder and looked around looking for the islanders. Should she find them the clone of Natsu that was still outside would be quickly notified and she would message the team to get them evac immediately.

___The island's pallet shifted from its normal array of colors to an array of greens and blues as Kaneo activated his dojutsu. It was unlikely they would be left alone out here, mortar or no. At first he simply saw the green of natural chakra, papered over by a few trails of fading blue they'd left on their way here. Something else caught his eye, though. A trail of blue actively streaking through the sky. "Heads up, we've got another on-" His voice stopped mid sentence though as it changed direction, however. Someone, or something was attached to it, but the two chakras were clearly different. Considering everyone here was accounted for, and that chakra didn't match Natsu's, it was safe to say it wasn't friendly. It was, however, somewhere it probably shouldn't have been. "Never mind, I got this." Casually he whipped a kunai off his belt, flicking it up, before charging chakra into his palm and striking it as it fell back level. The blast of wind sent it rocketing off, and as it left he'd add another wrinkle. A tracking chakra that both lowered the flying resistance of the weapon itself and set it to home in this flying thing. Considering it wasn't going to get out of his sight anytime soon, and he could get it back relatively quickly, things weren't looking good for their not so subtle flying friend.
As the two battered ninja approached the group, the first thing that stood out to Shion was Unki; hard to miss the ball of rage storming towards you. She was pissed, and she had every right to be. Her tone, while harsh, wasn't nearly as explosive as Shion had been expecting, so maybe she would be able to salvage the situation with a carefully pieced together explanation. "Um... well... I was going to take a lifeboat to shore, when you said no. So I went below deck to uh... cool off... Except I didn't wind up below deck? Xion and I arrived on the island in the woods and were immediately being trailed by the enemy... uh... some cat lady and a really big, armored guy. We managed to evade them... for a time. See, the knight guy found us... we got into a fight and I killed him," Shion trailed off for a moment, her eyes darting around at the floor in quiet contemplation. Holy s**t. She killed someone... Shion hadn't even given it a second thought. That can't be a positive sign. After a brief second, she snapped back to reality and finished her report. "In the final collision, I was gravely injured... I think at least. My chest felt like it was on fire... and then it wasn't... and then like... Xion was wounded, even though she was nowhere near the fight. I don't know. She needs help though." She leaned her shoulder up to further support her wounded comrade. "Oh, and um... I'm sorry I broke the rules." she grumbled, finally starting to slip back into her usual self. A little normalcy at this point would be a welcome thing for Shion... even if it was just her stubborn side coming out to play.

Pressing the "X" button, Xion let the others know, "I need heealing." Aside from that, though, she didn't really bother to explain the situation. Morning's explanation covered everything in her opinion.
Wait, no. Xion changed her mind. "Broken ribs," she specified, "Nothing else," in case these people needed to be told to conserve their chakra. "Furthermore," her voice had taken on a crisp, professional tone, "Anomaly to the," whatever direction, I forgot, "Some sort of powerful fuuin chakra is concealing whatever is held within the seal." It shouldn't need to be said that this meant the chances were high that within the fuuin was a valuable objective, like the Hojo, or a dangerous threat, which should be identified immediately. "Unable to sense Toso," Xion added, "Time of last sensory activation... approximately ten minutes ago."

Apparently her work was enough. While the mortar made contact with the ground it barely exploded at all and indeed primarily just jettisoned a small spark of electricity. With a sigh of relief she oddly found herself to be smiling. It felt good, having saved not just her own skin but both Kaneo and Unki as well. Though in the back of her mind she couldn't help but wonder about how it might have gone if there'd been more of those things. Could she have done the same then? Though for now Kaneo's praise and Unki's astonishment would do much to keep her feeling that adrenaline and post crisis high. It was then that two wounded or tired looking individuals approached their group. Mizuki's muscles tensed as she readied herself to fight but it seemed Unki recognized them. Her tone was clear enough to mark them as the insubordinate ones.
At the same time however Kaneo spotted another foe. Emerald eyes followed his gaze to the sky where she too saw the man flying by the help of some sort of contraption. She probably could have taken him out too but then Kaneo called it for himself. "Just don't miss Kane-kun or I'll have to punish you hm hm~" she chuckled lightly with closed eyes that made her look rather sinister when coupled with the phrase punish you. Since she trusted the man to deal with it her attention turned back to the two ragged members of their team.
One of the girls was barely clothed and covered in a mixture of blood, sweat, and mud. The other was wearing some kind of maid outfit? Mizuki was a tad confused as to why someone would choose to wear that into a combat zone. Perhaps she had been raised in a brothel as well and was just used to wearing it? A question for another time perhaps considering she didn't look too well. The nearly naked one spoke as they approached, some kind of meandering excuse as to why she had gone rogue. It almost sounded like the maid woman had kidnapped the poor thing. It also appeared they didn't return due to being hunted by the enemy. The maid for her part made clear that she had broken ribs before detailing some sensory information. That could be dealt with after aid was applied. Though to be honest were Mizuki in charge she'd be cuffing the two before carting them back to village for interrogation. "My my you two have been frisky~ Just hold still and let me do my thing kay?" Easily walking over to Xion due to her high spirits she'd look to the younger girl and add, "Gently lay her down for me so I can do my thing♪"

Seeing the attack the individual would attempt a barrel roll, it would have evaded the attack if it was an ordinary one but sadly in his case it was not. Kaneo's attack would hit home right in the center of the mans chakra battery as the man's attempt at a turn caused a brief decrease in his speed and propulsion. Then came a wild loss of control. He started veering back towards the beach. He had no choice he had to abandon ship. Pushing what would be a button on his back the pack dislodged itself from his person. It then began to hurdle towards the ground where in caused a small explosion of chakra. In short the man only landed at what could be considered maybe a 1/4th of a mile away from the group on the sands of the coast in clear vision. A brief moment he looked at the group. Then turned to face the ocean.
He brought his arm up to his mouth. It wouldn't be possible to see what he was saying but he began running across the ocean as fast as he could. Suffice to say this individual wasn't going to engage anyone. He was on the run, would the group find it more favorable to allow him to escape and avoid a fight...or maybe there was a reason he was in such a desperate need to flee. ~~~~~~~~~~~~Meanwhile~~~~~~~~~~~
Natsumi would find in the depths of the iron cube what appeared to be lab equipment. All of it was sabotaged by the looks of it with the intent to destroy remaining evidence. On the floor laying in a pool of blood...was Toso. He was shirtless and face down his back had three incredibly large gaping wounds which continued to seep blood. The twenty one villagers were locked behind what seemed to be a force of purple barrier like energy acting as a prison and several of them were keeled over, they were all acting particularly sluggish with drooping eyes, it seemed their energy was lost to them. Some of the elder individuals were missing arms. "WE'RE SAVED..." One tried to say although they could not do so energetically. "Toxin...hurry, it's dangerous...machine...break...to free. " One would mention something about a toxin, but the air revealed nothing of the sort before he drifted off into unconsciousness before he could attempt to point at something. At the same time a shirtless man was banging continuously on the violet barrier irately with tears completely oblivious to Natsumi's prescience, additionally there was a younger girl and an elder one , the younger shrill and in a panic, the elder in quiet disbelief but still crying none the less. Suffice to say the Tosokurui family despite this 'toxin' that was mentioned still maintained a hearty amount of energy.

There seemed to be four machines still currently operational in the room, what they did and which one's did what would be a mystery in itself. Two had alternating pumping mechanisms and ventilation shafts, the other had a similiar looking crystal to the foreheads on the glass wolves, while the last had also a similar looking crystal although it was blue rather than red.
Unki's lips were pressed together as listened to the combined stories of Shion and Xion. A change of heart fought its way in like an ocean's wave in a violent storm. Her inexperience had not yet hardened her in the face of disobedience and for a flickering moment her thoughts dabbled on the concern that she could have been failing as a leader. She was unable to prevent Shion from venturing off and couldn't prevent their injuries. If it weren't for her reinforcements, Unki would truly be in the most sour of pickles. The situation would be by far worse than what it was.
Kaneo spoke up. He announced 'another' of the mystery projectile. Unki turned and looked up to see a speck in the sky. A second was spared to take a glance back at Xion, Shion, and now Mitsuki (who Unki just learned can heal) before returning her attention to the target. Her sight couldn't link to whether or not the knife hit but she was becoming better able to see what they were dealing with.
Unki squinted her eyes as her focus increased. "I-don't your name... Kane? How do you feel about keeping an eye on that? Since we're all together again we could probably make this work better. I don't know your name either, green medic, but you said you work well together? When you finish patching up my girls, I want the both of you to follow that speck! With much gusto, Unki pointed up at the flying figure admits escape. "Capture him. We can't have him leaving this island if he's involved with this invasion! I'll take my bruised brigade and try to trace back where the mortar came from. "
Her confidence was coming back now. When Shion is settled and Xion's hands are made free, Unki would have taken out the radio communicators from her vest pocket and offer them to Xion. "They came from the other group leader. Try to have them on before long.

___Kaneo was going to celebrate his achievement, but was immediately told not to let the guy go. More running, well... he'd have some fun before he left. "You know, people don't normally call me Kane unless they're flirting, in which case I'd prefer if you added kun to the end. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Oh, and if you want to by me drinks later I'll take something rum based and you can surprise me from there." He said as he watched the man start off onto the water. He added a wink of one of his golden eyes in Unki's direction to the end and started off towards the fleeing man. "Come on Mizuki. I'll need your help for this one, I don't have a damn thing to stop him just yet, so you'll need to help me slow him down while I delve into my bag of tricks."
Natsumi quickly acted after seeing that her comrade was severely hurt. There was a single person she knew that could help him. Focusing one of her knives with chakra she created yet another crow clone that rushed to the outside of the building. With the barrier down it would be easy for her to retrieve her little student. In the mean time she shot a web at the machine with the blue crystal. She deduced that the one with the red crystal was for the explosions that occurred to the wolves. Once the web landed she grabbed it and yanked it in an overhead swing. Able to easily move it with the strength of her web and smash it upon the ground. In the mean time the clone that was just created say Mizuki and wasted no time in using a substitution jutsu with her. The clone swapped positions with her in the blink of an eye and was tangled within the other teams affair currently. Where as the real Natsu felt Mizuki there and shouted. "Get your a** down here now!" She declared not wanting to waste time in their endeavor. She gritted her teeth and readied herself for anything bad to happen.

● Mystic Hero: The user is much like a hybrid warrior, focusing on mixing ninjutsu into their personal arsenal. Through their great devotion to this path the user can cast ninjutsu without hand seals while wielding a weapon, D at D-rank, C at C-rank, B at B-rank, A at A-rank, and S at S-rank. These techniques maintain the same description and criteria to use, as well as require the same amount of time to mold the chakra through the weapon as would be needed to perform hand seals, meaning the techniques are not instantaneously cast. The user’s spirit is so strong, that they can utilize their physical bukijutsu techniques to negate ninjutsu techniques of the same rank or below.
● Resolution: The user is more determined to get fine details from his sensory techniques, but in order to get this type of clarity the user's range of the technique is reduced by half. The user is able to discover type of technique that is about to be active (fuuin, genjutsu, ninjutsu, custom jutsu, complex tai and buki), even specifics such as Bloodline type and rank. Additionally, the user can gain similar information about any chakra source in their sensory technique's range, including what bloodline the person possesses, assuming the user has seen the bloodline before, and approximately how large their chakra pool is.
● Resolution 2: Members of the Resolution discipline have three-quarters the range, instead of half.
● Skill: Multitasking While the first two stages of the style revolve around the very basics of how to use a bow, the third stage incorporates the use multiple arrows into a more stylish way of battling. Mastery allows the user to simultaneously fire multiple arrows with any technique that does not specifically state otherwise, and allows the Arrow Creation technique to create up to three arrows at once with no increase in cost.
● Skill: Manipulation Manipulating the bow itself is simple, but controlling the arrows is very difficult. Many enhancements can be made to arrows to give them different flight paths, but buying those kinds of arrows is expensive and making them is difficult, so a method was developed wherein the user can freely alter how an arrow flies without need for such trifles. During this training, the user practices firing arrows with abnormal hand positions. Reduces the Stamina cost of bow-related Bukijutsu techniques (including Formless Styles) by 10 Stamina, to a minimum of 5 Stamina.
● Manipulating Line An addition to the technique Calling Cord. By laying a good amount of additional chakra into the strings wrapped around the projectiles, the user is able to fully control the length, direction, and movement of the strings. Thus, allowing for incredibly diverse attacks from all angles. Automatically applied after learning.
● Kemuri no Shikaku [ Sight through Smoke ] The practitioner grows accustomed to the way smoke flows around them and others. The practitioner's vision is no longer adversely affected by their smoke bombs.
● Offensive Style: Knife Stances The user becomes more accustomed to upward, downward, and sideways slashing motions. Speed of all Bukijutsu employing small arms is mildly increased.
● Offensive Style: Simple Play With this training, the user is able to more comfortably switch between upward, downward, and sideways slashing motions in a pinch. The user's reflexes are mildly increased.
● Trick Style: Knife Toss The practitioner has developed a greater sense of precision and is now able to throw, juggle, and catch their knives by the hilt with ease. Confers a slight reflex bonus to the practitioner.
● Offensive Style: Artless Draw The practitioner has better developed their ability to pull their blade straight from its resting place to an offensive slash. Slightly increases the speed of strikes made when drawing a small weapon.
● Offensive Style: Two-fer-One The practitioner is now accustomed to performing techniques they have mastered with either one or two knives. Once per post, the user may use a single D-Rank or lower technique from this Style without paying the cost.
● Trick Style: Retreating Feet The practitioner, already acquainted with many techniques in the style, has finally realized that with a little bit of personal training, they are able to increase the precision and speed at which they lift and press their feet. The practitioner's footsteps are rendered silent to all who do not have enhanced hearing, and the footsteps they leave in soft ground are shallow. This not only assists their ability to sneak up on people faster and quieter, but also helps when running from trackers.
● Trick Style: Blade’s Edge The practitioner has developed an even greater sense of precision and is now able to throw, juggle, and catch their knives by the tip with ease. Additionally, some projectiles, such as shuriken or kunai, can be caught by their tip. Confers a slight increase to the user's reflexes.

After the user gathers up the webbing within their mouth, the user will spit multiple webs at their intended target. These webs will easily fly through the air and if they touch their opponent, they will stick and bind the shinobi to any nearby surface. The user fires up to two webs per rank that cover a three by three foot area. The stickiness is caused by the user mixing their chakra with their body fluid. Their chakra will remain within the web even after it has left the user's body. The rank determines the strength of the webbing, and can be broken by a technique of one rank higher than it, or equivalent rank if Katon. ● Kawarimi no Jutsu [ Substitution Technique ] Rank: E Official Description: When in danger the Shinobi will quickly substitute themselves with another nearby object. This can be a block of wood or even another person. This allows the Shinobi to quickly flee and hide while the object takes the brunt of their opponents attack. Guild Description: See official description. The substitution technique can only be performed four [4] times per battle and you must be near an object at least roughly the same size as your character's torso, capping out at your character's full length size. Other roleplayers' characters (unless willing) cannot be used as a substitute. Spawning random, faceless characters to use as substitutes is not permitted. All clones, with the exception of the standard clone, may be used in substitution.

Title: Sojourn Rank: C Information: A group, located usually outside of the village walls, needs assistance in some manner with their ingredients. Head out quickly to catch up to them! Solo or Squad: Solo Minimum Posts: 6 posts. Must include another mission after catching up. Note: Redeemable [Sojourn] Coupon: Good for 1 500 ryou Variable Marble, or an equivalent utensil. Second Note: Necro is being a responsible mod and might not actually let Xion be on this mission until after this silly arc = 3 = . Doesn't change the fact that this will be her perceived mission, though owo . Save the ingredients by liberating their people!
As instructed by the superior medic, Xion gently laid herself down, very slowly and painfully extending her body across the sandy beach. She stayed like this over the course of everything else. Although, she did blindly grab in front of her when if felt like Unki was trying to hand her something? Took a couple seconds for Xion to realize and a couple more before she found Unki's hand. Xion had no idea what she held in her hands or why she was given it. Felt like a hair clip, but right now, bringing her hands up to her hair was going to make her feel like crying. She just held the earpiece in her hands to her side and continue to lay there, hoping that she would not be forgotten by the other medic.
As Kaneo pursued the man likely with a new ally he'd look back momentarily, then back forward. He would reach into his coat and without so much as look back toss something in the mans direction that was capsule like. A blinding flash of light for but a brief moment. When the flash bang cleared a dense amount of smoke was where the man once was. It seemed he wouldn't be able to avoid confrontation. Unbeknownst to them, he had already contacted someone to pick him up. Now it but a matter of time until they arrived. A long awhile as that may be this lanky individual simply had to buy his time until then.
Additionally added onto the smoke a second tube shape would be thrown through the smoke toward anyone in pursuit. It to would flash in a bright blue light. But what this did was a mystery as it wasn't blinding, and wouldn't cause any damage. Despite assumptions of what it possibly could have been and done. However, Xion, Natsumi, and Mizuki, if she happened to catch wind when she switched the mans chakra signature and presence was gone...or rather not gone but in many places at once. As if he had several countless shadow clones of himself creating false positives.
~~~~~~~~~~~~Meanwhile~~~~~~~~~~~ Natsumi's voice rang through the building to the entrance, destruction of the machine seemed not to trigger anything significant...until a brief few moments later. The barrier that kept the Hojo people confined began to vanish. BUT, that wasn't all. The two machines with the alternating pump mechanisms began to slow...and then the lights began to flicker. The red stone present on the other machine turned pitch black. Yes, what Natsumi had done here was destroy the power supply to the square facility. In hindsight maybe it would have been best to trust one's own judgement and investigate the machines rather than listening to half-aware hojo and going in straight for a kill. But who could blame someone in the heat of the moment for not being rational. Heck chances were its operation would have proved too complicated.
Suffice to say now that the pumping mechanisms were out of commission there would be no worry of releasing more of the invisible toxin accidently...unless someone were to stupidly break one of them now, but at the same time there was no hope in ventilating the room of the already present toxicity levels. Again if it weren't for a Hojo man claiming a 'toxin' was present in the first place one would probably assume there wasn't one to begin with. In fact his word was now pretty shaky, and the possibility he may have just been delusional from experimentation was a plausibility as Natsumi still wouldn't be feeling any of the effects from this so called 'toxin' yet. However, the results of her actions became completely visible as all light became void in the room. Not a problem for a sensor but for the Hojo people who needed to evacuate via their new found freedom it certainly would be.
