The result of the Byakugan, but not only that was at work here. The feelings from Shigure Soen also played its hand, but either way he knew soon his face would need to be shown, else someone know what was going on with him. That honestly was the last thing he needed. Snooping all up on his trail and fools getting in his way. It was too early for such trivial mistakes, but even he might make them. It was still early on in the stages of the test, so he couldn't go running in just yet. If he did there was no way those beings would survive his onslaught and destruction would indeed be ensured upon them. He'd set up here for the time being in order to make sure no other nuisances came into the village into the war was properly set into place. Time ticked forward; ties were being broken and deaths were assured a plenty. This was all in the name of Kumogakure, though. A fighting force able to handle even a tailed beast -- creations such as these were needed in the years to come.
Though the methods used were just a tad extreme, Apollo had believed himself right in his decision to begin experimentation. Ninja could indeed grow powerful, but why would he need to risk his life or the lives of those he held dear when he could just craft superior ninja on a whim. This was the value of such a new world! Through these creations, he'd make a place safe for all and any who dared step in his way. "With Kumogakure busy I'll be able to play strings from afar. Heh~ The final stage is well off in the future, but it is good to see progress nonetheless." His body lay hunched over, staring out to Cloud with a smirk planted. Some just wanted to watch the world burn.

An Anbu came, informing Apollo of the current situation. In haste he ran off to Kumogakure to show concern and demanded all active ninja to watch the borders.
Soraru stretched outside the wooden single-story building that usually housed ANBU patrols. Crossing one arm over the other, he brought the red bean paste bun in his right hand to his mouth while going through the movements, taking a bite. It just wouldn't be Sora if he wasn't hungry. Over the past month he was completely gone from the village, taking a temporary leave to train with his old mentor again.
He participated with Kaileer and Wan in the big battle against the barbarians. The battle that nobody knew about but the three of them. He remembered all the lives he had to take that night in order to keep the village safe. Kaileer told him it'd be hard...he didn't say just how hard it was. The guerrilla warfare and ambushes were easy, assassinating the shamans was a little more difficult but manageable. Discovering that captured civilians were being forcibly germinated against their will in giant pots in order to create mindless soldiers was the point where he lost his mercy. So much blood was spilled from the Wanryoku-sized men and women by Kaileer and himself. It was self defense, they were mindlessly attacking while Wanryoku was handling the top dog...the pain suffered once they were too exhausted from fighting an army, the sight of Wan turning into an actual yokai-oni of tremendous size. Harvesting his demon chakra through hakemoto methods, dodging the endless assaults he did in a fit of rage to save him.
Needless to say, Soraru would've gotten one hell of a promotion if the fight actually went public, but Kaileer and Wan left. They never returned to make the official report, and Sora thought that maybe it was best...if the world thought the two of them were dead. Those two were being worn down by the work the village put on them, and he was able to see Kai's frustration ever since the night they sparred together. Soraru was allowed to recover with his sensei in the land of Iron for the month following that night, where he fought against yokai and spirits alike in order to be prepared for something like Wan and his father again.
"Hanna, you ready to go? We have to recon the land of lightning as a whole, go to all the major locations to make sure the barbarians backed off. We also should keep an eye out for those glass wolves Kaileer-san made in his last report." He told his current teammate, turning around to look at the pinkette. While it wasn't quite the date they planned back at the Dojo, he figured she'd be the partner he could relax the most around. She could take care of herself and keep up all the same. Plus she was pretty to look at, but that was icing on the cake. He finished his bean paste roll only to reach into his bag and pull out a pork bun. Apparently his hunger was insatiable. Wasn't too surprising, considering his body. It looked like he filled out some, muscles becoming more prominent while his face looked somewhat matured. He was growing well, two recent big events in his life contributing to that.

Hanna stretched her arms above her head as she arrived beside Sora, Ready whenever you are. Although I'm really not looking forward to meeting anything nasty out there. She said letting her arms fall to her sides. She looked down at her hands and before her mind could move to other thoughts she hummed a tune beating back the memories of the young man's death she had caused. I hope you don't mind, I'll train a little on the way? She asked trying not seem like she was staring. Could he be any cuter? you're annoying
Sora smiled a bit when she mentioned not wanting to meet anything nasty during their patrol. With the normal Anbu scouts going around he doubted they'd spot anything, so their odds of conflict were low. Still, there was always the potential highway criminal, and if they did end up running into the wolves, the young Hakemoto believed he was strong enough to handle it. "We're fine, it's probably just going to be a nice stroll. We're getting paid a B-rank cost for it, so it could definitely be worse." Scouting missions typically gave large rewards due to the unpredictable nature they had. Especially since the kage likely didn't know the Barbarians were ultimately annihilated in Wanryoku's ogre transformation, while Soraru and Kaileer assassinated the shamans who were breeding them.
"You can train all you like, I'll probably even join you. Let's just try not to hit each other." He added playfully, beginning to walk off towards the path leading to the main road. The nearby waterfall leading off the mountain along with a somewhat chilly morning made the day seem quite beautiful. Perhaps their stroll could somewhat count as a date after all. His mind would disregard that, but his heart was certainly excited.

Shu's ears twitched as he growled and took off. Hakanai took off after him. Usually when he does that, that means he heard something and for her just to follow. When they got closer, even Hakanai could hear it. A fight. It honestly sounded like bunch of glasses shattering. Sure enough, when they got close enough, they saw a bunch of ANBU fighting glass wolves. "We got to go help. Let's go." Hakanai said as Shukenja growled and they went to go fight them. First things first, she did some hand seals and water erupted from underground. She was careful to make sure none of ANBU was in the way. Besides, they were strong, they should be able to handle themselves, but it doesn't mean she can outright make wrong decisions. "Hey!" Hakanai shouted and got some glass wolves to her attention. She whistled in high pitch as they started to go towards her. When there was enough and they were close enough, she did handseals quickly and ice formed onto the water. Ice with glass paws = Slippery as hell. Sure enough, some of them crashed and shattered everywhere. Her brows furrowed. The twins weren't joking. They are fragile and so easy... but there's so many of them. Were they trying to weaken us? The more they come, the more the ANBU and defensive line were forced to use jutsu and their energy to take them down... s**t. She needed to report this to the Raikage and fast. First things first, the duo needed to help to take down the iron wolves. Having experience the frozen ice many times, Hakanai ran to slide onto the ice and punched one in the jaw. It shattered but she winced and pulled her hand back. "Right..." She forgot she didn't have any protection for her hand. Fine then. She would have to improvise.....
Once the glass wolves were done, Hakanai rubbed her shoulder. She made a stupid move earlier and now her hand and shoulder was sore. Being a medic herself, she determined that she was just sore and didn't need medical attention. Approached by an ANBU, she talked to them for a bit to gather information and intel to relay back to the Raikage. With a bow, both Hakanai and Shukenja left to make their report and turn it in, as soon as possible.

As leader of the support group I would like you, Kaneo to function as Head of Retrieval. What that title entails is as we'll be constantly in motion anyone or anything that Commander Mizuki's sensory abilities cannot find or if they become clouded for any reason you will be in charge of scouting and finding injured operatives, if any individuals are added to our numbers I'll leave the authority of directing them to an injured individual to you so that either A. we rendezvous with them or B. send someone to retrieve the body and bring it to the group for treatment. With that the long winded draft of assignments that Toso had came to an end and awaited Mizuki's input. She had after all the authority to overwrite anything he had just said. Kaneo stopped next to Toso as the man began presenting a plan of sorts. Scouting, huh? It could work, if they took precautions. Kaneo though, would resist indulging the squid for now. "Why don't you wait?" It mattered little what the Hojo wanted to do, Mizuki was in charge here for a reason. To top it off, engaging with the unsolicited attempt to assume a position of undue authority would be little help. Honestly, Kaneo was slightly puzzled as to why Toso was presenting a plan without provocation to begin with. Normally you waited for your commander to present some options and then suggested alterations based on their actual ideas, if they asked you to. You didn't start trying to override them before they'd even done anything.

When he asked what jutsu she planned to use, her mind went to the transformation jutsu she learned. After all, she felt like she could do anything when she was in her true magical girl state. Her mind also drifted to her divine thorn technique, which allowed her to help out her allies. She had ideas, but didn't quite know how to articulate them. Rather than show her doubt, however, she forced a smile and made a peace sign. "The best jutsu!" She said cheerfully.
Mizuki arrived along with the rest of her unit, luckily nobody had gotten lost along the way. She did however raise an eyebrow when Toso broke into detailing a plan. It wasn't that it was a bad plan, indeed she found little that was disagreeable to her save for a few odds and ends. What was bothering her was that he had opted to not simply talk it over with her first in case she had serious problem with it. The last thing she wanted to do was have to countermand Toso in front of the people that he would be leading. Maintaining an effective chain of command was important in her mind. "Tosokurui-kun lets talk about the dirty details in private next time. But since the neko's out of the bag I suppose all I have to add is that things will change as the battle does. The snow could make things difficult and dangerous. Much of the area is very steep and the weather is prone to sudden fury. I dunno if communication will work on the battlefield but count on it not. Lastly... try not to die. It'd be a shame to lose any of you~"
