Taka sighed softly when both of her current genin questioned her and waited for them to comply. After kite asked his question she simply said. "I lied" She would answer them in more detail once she had their gear in her ruck sack, having to stoop to pick up the weapons that rikijo tossed to the ground at her feet.

Tying the top of the sack into a proper knot and securing their belongings she would begin to speak. "Yes...there is a point to this. First some background. Im seen as one of the more unorthodox sensei in our homeland. But, this is standard procedure for those moved into...'special' placement." She said putting a little more emphasis on the words. "To get placed into my squad, you have to either have a specified personality or done something warranting punishment. I will make proper shinobi out of you in the end but for now...our first real lessons." She would say with a brief pause, handing the gear to the outpost guard behind her.

"All operations in the field can have something go wrong. No plan ever really survives contact with the enemy, at least to a certain degree. This mountain will re-sculpt portions of you that need to be sculpted to operate as a tangible shinobi force. There is more to this s**t than just slinging fireballs and kicking someones a**. Sometimes you have to realize that your a** can get kicked or that you are faced with hardships that cannot simply be overcome without pushing yourselves." She would turn to move away from them and offer a casual wave to them while looking over her shoulder, the lightest of smiles on her face.

"See you boys in a week. Oh one more thing...If you fail you will be both have to speak with the hokage about this issue. Feel free to bring up any grievances you have against me with him. Personally I don't really give two shits though. What are they going to do...lock me up? Pfft." She said as she started to step away.



Behind them the gates loomed, half a seal on each side of the iron, only really visible to those that cared to look. The gates remained opened, awaiting their entry.

• Beast Master: The user is able to nurture grow, and bond with up to 3 animals, of various shapes and sizes (one lizard, one canine, one feline, ect), with the user being able to receive similar traits to their animals(must submit to customs). These animals will be close to the users level, though still requiring the leader for nurturing, growth, ect. The animals will not be able to pass Jounin level, even if the user can. They have 1/2 the user's chakra and stamina pool, while only being able to manipulate a single element. At gennin, the user can choose a single trait associated with their animal companion. At chunnin, when the user gains their second animal conpanion, the user may choose another trait associated with this single companion. At jounin, when the user gains their third companion, they may choose another trait associated with that animal. Each trait must be submitted to the custom jutsu thread.
• Inception: The user's genjutsu prowess has increased the sheer power of the genjutsu, making them act a rank higher then they are (up to S rank). This increases the Kai cost for an opponent.
• Lessons from the Okiya: Gains the kenjutsu style Akira ( Fans ) and proficiency using it equal to a kenjutsu user trained in this style of the same rank.

Kite had a soul less body after hearing her confession kite snap out of it soon after sensei walked through the gate. Kite steps through and try's to ask sensei if him and Riki can work together on this exercise or would it be fully alone. Kite looks up at the mountin and knew this would be a challenge. Going up a mountain is more harder the going down a mountain . M flew to kite shoulders as he waited for a response.

Rikijo decided not to question her anymore. It's usually pointless. People often have their own motives for doing things, but as she spoke of "punishment", he grimaced, cursing that secretary silently. He nodded and began to walk through the gate. He didn't care to much on whether he could work with Kite or not. It would have to get done sooner or later, so he might as well think on it and bide his time like she said.

MISSION START!!!



Mission Title: Hostile enviroment training
Location: Anbu training ground 37
Goal: Reach the top of the mountains and survive the week. Collect objective labeled for each operative.
Challenge rating: B ranked location
Rules:

Alright guys, heres the deal. This is actually a challenge where you can potentially die. This is entirely down to how you roleplay things. I gave you 7 days. Each action your character does will effect you as it would anywhere in the guild. Be mindful that your character is a living breathing entity in this world. If you are stupid with them, you could get hurt and thats a bad thing here. I have a moderator watching over the posts to judge things in case we get into some unforeseen argument. If you need them for anything you think is unfair; quote the hokage as they are the one we have assigned for this. Or AandOE as he is pretty much the grandmaster of our wonderful guild here. So because of this, here are the rules as listed for this "game" Be sure to read the rules; they are important. I wouldn't type them if they weren't.

• Each post a player makes will encompass a 3 hour period. You are working together so communicate. This shouldnt be an issue for the two of you and this is why it will work. Posts if you for some reason enter combat will resume as a normal in guild interaction meaning anywhere from 30 seconds of action to a tapered 5 seconds. Use them accordingly. This means that each player will have 56total posts toward this mission for your hard deadline. Use them well. It will take you 12 total posts to reach the peak.

• Your character will need food, water, and a way to deal with temperatures. Shouldn't be a huge issue, you have everything you could need on you. Be sure to note that you have your headband but no weapons. And a flint rod on you. Cold weather clothes are considered to be on you but they will only do so much. If I feel that you need to get some kind of shelter you will be warned ahead of time.

• You are allowed to work together. Nothing I said forbid this in the introductions.

• If you leave the mountain, the mission is a failure. However since death IS a possibility it is allowed to leave the mountain and discontinue the mission.

• Please try and keep your posting time to a decent schedule, its not a difficult thing even with full time work. I cannot stress this. This will take a LONG time otherwise and the characters arent able to be in multiple places at once, even with clones around.

• Play safe, play fair, and think about your actions when you are on this. I dont want to have my genin die from a simple survival task. Good luck.

As Taka left the field, the gates would swing shut behind her. A single large seal was etched into the backs of the wrought iron gates seeming to seal the gap between the two into a solid piece of metal. The entire area they entered from would waver as if in a heat haze, then fade to a scene of prairie and grass as far as the eye could see. Taka was gone, and they were left to their assignment.

Kite looked at Riki walk through the gate and stand beside him as he planed how to get up the mountain. There was no real way to tell a easy path so he walked and thinked at the Same time as they got closer.

"oui, riki you do understand this Is serious right there be no backing out three days ahead from now when we are at the half way point"

He smiled at Riki trying to comfort him as kite was a bit worried himself he looked at Riki and add another thing

"because we are working togather do you think I should bring n or make him wait down here . I know he can be helpful in a situation where we need to look ahead but it's cold up there. I can't help but worry but he is also apart of this team."

Kite looked at n as he added the note to the conversation

"it's cold now and it only gets colder .... are you ready Riki ?"

Kite was unsure of what to think of this environment training but he will proceed with knowing it will be very hostile . Only having his black cape that reached down to his lower body would be enough for now . Also only having a flint rod could come in handy maybe a wapon or even for its natural uses. Kite grabed his headband and tied it on tight. He wanted to remind himself he is a ninja. Kite was known for being at his best close to death and that maybe this can be no different than any other time. Kites goal was to make it up that hill and protect Riki as he believed Riki would protect him.

Rikijo sighed a bit, but he understood some things just have to be done. Of course, the chances of him doing this mission if he was told upfront was close to zero, so hiding the truth was the only way. No matter. He was prepared to work alone, but he thought that having Kite might prove to be useful.

"Yeah, Kite. I understand what we have to do, for the most part. The question is, how difficult this will really be. I mean, we can potentially die here, but then again, the chances occur every time we awaken or sleep. Death is everywhere and noone is guaranteed life. Sounds morbid huh? But it's the truth. So let's get down to business."

Riki sighed again. He didn't feel cold, but it might just be momentarily. He glanced at Kite and shrugged.

"Look, bringing your - what is that, crow? Raven? - may be able to help secure a path, but there is now way to tell for sure. Even at that point, you'd have to make sure it doesn't die of starvation, so that's more food gone. There are ups and downs. So you decide."

Time passes and not a whole lot happens. The two genin are simply discussing there options this early on so the post order will simply include the two of them. A grace period of planning will be given until they actually start moving toward the training ground and there objectives.

Kite made not of Riki advice that I would be easy to bring N on the mission to see what they can't but also hard to split ration as N has to be feed. Kite come to the conclusion that he will bring N because N always been by his side and that should never change. Bring N would actually prove to be more useful then a hindrance.

"oui, Riki I'm taking him I understand you may not want to share your rationing with N so I'll carry the burden of sharing my ration with N. He always be by My side and he apart of this team so I came to this conclusion."

As they reach the base of the mountin they had a to get ready to go up . Kite started to stretch as he would not for a couple hours as they go up .

"oui ,who should go up first. "

Kite looks at Riki thinking hopefully he go up first . Being first to go up mean you would have to make sure the climb up was safe . Of course he wouldn't make him do it all the way up kite just wanted to get the shakes out of his system.

"I mean I don't have any problem going first."

Kite said that to mask the fact that he was shaken at the beginning of this mission

Riki exhaled softly as his mentally readied himself for the task ahead. He stretched along side Kitai. As he listened to Kite's question he came to an answer. "I'm not climbing up yet. I'm going to take some time down her at the base first." Riki turned away from Kite and walked away a few feet.

Kite head drop as he would have to call his bluff and climb the mountin first. He looked at the mountin and look for a nice spot to start . Once he looked he saw a nice firm place to start. Kite scatter up and latch on and started climbing. The time to get to the first stoping point took long . When they had got there kites arms wouldn't even lift up and he was exhausted. He laid there looking at the sky for about five second Before he noticed the fact that the air was a bit darken when it was early noon. Kite bolted his upper body up and looked at where the village would be . See a huge black cloud he was confused on what could be happing . He started to get up and press his back to the wall because he was still futiged . He then screamed to Riki who was still coming up . Kite pointed to the village .

"oui , what happing in the village when we are gone."

Kite could see back to early and see everything was fine and that they was at the shop eatting before a big mission . Kite head kept swelling. Everything was so sudden .

Kite came back to reality and then looked at Riki who still wasn't moving up . He was going to thank him but he thought it could wait for later. Kite looked for the next climbing point. Not seeing one he pressed towards the wall and scale over to the right end of the resting point . He saw there was a crack that scales up the mountain . Kite not knowing if there was a point to climb after the cracks end send M to go look . After a good five minutes of M checking he come back with good news and that Riki was in luck. Kite started to put his hand in the crack and climb up . it was Hard to keep his hand in the crack he keeps pushing his hand back in ever 30 to 45 seconds. Knowing it would be hard he took his Time for it would be fate in his hand if he slips up . Kite arms start to weaken 7 minutes into climbing up the crack . Feeling his arms ach he started to push above his limit . By the time he got to the next stoping point he couldn't even feel his hands and arms . Kite would take this a a brake for he can no loner see or hear Riki . Kiti would wait till Riki decides to climb up or in till his arms feel better

The climb up the mountain would have periodic ledges that one could clamber onto, barely wide enough to stand. As the climb continued the temperature would start to decrease, growing cold enough to prickle the skin and threaten to make the two shiver in the wind. Hypothermia could be a real killer if one wasnt careful.

High above them, a small pebble bounced down from a ledge, knocked over by an unknown entity that peered at them briefly. Whatever it was didnt seem to stick around.
