The scenery in Eterna was much more impressive than that of Oreburgh, he actually didn’t mind this town. It was a shame he couldn’t stay in these beautiful towns forever. His journey had to go on however, and there would be many more beautiful towns on the journey. But for now he just had to enjoy Gardenia’s city while he was here, and he worry about it later.

Walking back out to the outskirts of town he sighed. He wasn’t sure which Pokemon he was looking to add to his team, but he had a feeling he would know when he saw it. It was a good thing he had a fairly good strategy for whichever Pokemon that he would have on his team. The last thing he wanted to do was settle for some kind of Geodude or something like that, unimpressed he wandered outside of Eterna City, awaiting the discovery of the perfect new team mate.

Considering his options he thought about heading to the nearby Eterna forest, forest areas tended to hold rare Pokemon. But they also held the annoyances of bug catchers and the constant threat of being poisoned. He would stick around for one more wild battle and then weigh out his options as far as travelling to the nearby forest to continue his training, Prinplup would be able to make short work of the bug types in the area.

In the end, Riley put Zeke back in his pokeball. Seul offered her his head to pet but he couldn't chase away the melancholy that came with the knowledge that Zeke would never again be small enough to cuddle into her neck. "I know he's stronger now Seul, but I miss him being small....Do we lose something of ourselves, when we decide to strive to become stronger?" Seul didn't have an answer for that.

"Well, I don't know if this qualifies, but I've got this group of trainers that likes to battle down in the park around this time. They're always coming in for stuff." Riley couldn't tell if a clerk would normally enjoy having to deal with a bunch of trainers buying tons of stuff, but given the look on his face one of those trainers had managed to catch his eye. "That sounds perfect! I'll definitely check it out. Thanks."
