"Violence is my blood! I shall kill you! Know my name, Atsushi, and die! Tsubame Fubuki!" Atsushi struck swiftly, her hand slicing out and sending a dozen swallows made of ice streaking towards the red head. Their beaks were sharp as kunai and they followed the path that Atsushi controlled with the wind, aiming for Suzume's face and throat. Not one to wait, Atsushi began to plan he next attack, racing to distance herself from Suzume. Her boots were noiseless, rubber soled to keep her from slipping on the layers of ice that covered everything.

Perhaps it was pointless to offer them a chance, but it was more for her sake really. If she gave them the choice and they chose poorly, it was more their fault than anything else.

Seeing the other send the ice sent her way, Suzume moved back and appeared to slip on the ice. Just as the birds passed overhead, she caught herself just in time, her hand planted on the ice as she flipped back onto her feet before moving forward after Atsushi. It was difficult to move on the ice, Suzume knew she had to work with it if she were to effectively battle.

Suzume began moving, feinting right then moving left, repeating the motions just on the off chance the other sent more swallows her way. Once she had the chance though, she would charge in and thrust her blade at Atsushi's body, attempting to stab at the woman's heart.

Atsushi wasn't about to be caught so easily. She knew ice like a mosquito knew blood and as she ran, she slid, controlling how she spun so that she sped around the whole of the room. Her boots came out and she was on her feet again, moving behind Suzume as she signed again, calling thirty foot spikes of ice out of the ground. They slammed up into the roof, one coming up right in front of Suzume.

After performing the needed handsigns, the user causes thirty [30] foot tall spikes of ice to emerge from the ground in a five [5] yard radius of their choosing. The spikes raise at a good speed, but are not reliable in an open area, or on unhindered targets.

There was a sense that this battle was going to get more and more outrageous as it progressed. With ice everywhere in the room, it was a little hard not to slide some. Not to mention since the other obviously used ice at will, Suzume was surrounded by potential weapons and attacks. If she could use Katon ninjutsu then it might be a simple matter of melting the ice, but for now she would have to make do with what she had.


Seeing the spikes coming up from the ground, Suzume continues forward, trying to use the ice to help her slide a little faster. Seeing one come up right in front of her, Suzume's blade moved in a low horizontal slash, moving with such speed that about a foot before the actual blade comes in contact with the ice, the sheared air already begins cutting into the tall ice spike. Since this attack was bound to cut down the ice spike, it would be cut just low enough that she could easily jump over it and land on the floor on the other side, a little unsteadily balanced but not falling.

If the ice was tougher than it appeared and did not cut though, she would come in contact with the ice, her sword embedded in it and allowing her to turn and circle around the side of the ice spike to avoid it.

"Are you done warming up? Or is that really the best you've got?" Perhaps a little taunting might make this woman lose her cool, no pun intended.

Thrusting her hand out after a series of hand signs, Atsushi summoned ice and water into her fist as she slid around the area. She sent a swirling, coiling rush of black ice that took on the appearance of a dragon headed at the start of it. It was a blizzard, rushing and coiling, cold enough to refreeze any of the water left from her summoning it. The creature screamed in insane fury and rushed Suzume who's blade would have stuck in the spire of ice she'd tried to cut. The dragon would crash through the ice, stronger then it was thick, to get at her if she went around it.

After performing the needed handsigns, the user will thrust forward their arm, gathering ice and water to their fist. In the same motion, the user will send a coiling torrent of liquid black ice, whose rotation results in the front of the blizzard to take on the appearance of a dragon's head, at their target. Aside being extremely cold, able to freeze nearby bodies of water, the blizzard sustains incredible ramming force. This technique requires an existing supply of water or ice in order to form.

The ice was tougher than she had first thought, her sword stuck in the spire now. Not willing to let go of it, Suzume soon saw that a large dragon, made of ice was heading her way. Biting her lower lip, the red head kept a hold of her katana while trying her best to hide behind the ice spike. Suzume braced herself as best as she could before the thing hit the spire of ice. The force was great enough that the spire did break, freeing her sword but also sending her flying back.

Her backside hit the ground first, sending her sliding back until she hit the wall. A groan escaped her, choppy since her teeth were chattering so much. That had certainly not been pleasant. Looking at her hand, it looked quite pale, almost blue. Managing to move her fingers from the hilt, she used her breath to warm up her left hand as best as she could. She had to get the blood flowing back into it and keep it warm, otherwise she would lose it to frostbite the next time.

So no cutting through the ice spires, they were too thick and the ice was tougher than normal ice. It was tie to switch up tactics.

Reaching into her bag, she took out some smoke pellets and readied herself. Just before Atsushi tried to hit her with another attack, Suzume slammed one smoke pellet down onto the ground. The rest would leave the cloud of smoke, aimed at Atsushi to cover her immediate area in smoke. To the other woman, it would seem as if Suzume's chakra signature had disappeared completely. When in fact, Suzume would use the smoke as a cover, to quickly get behind Atsushi and deliver a horizontal blow to the other who would hopefully be unaware, an attempt to decapitate the woman and end the battle.

Funkei no Jutsu [ Decapitation Technique ]

The user will begin by blurring his current position in any way possible, be it by the use of his smoke pellets, or manipulation of the terrain. He will then follow up by tossing multiple smoke pellets at his opponent, in order to disorient them. After this, the user will seemingly disappear, abusing their physical potential to get behind their target. From this position, the user will draw his weapon, and attempt to deliver the final blow.

Atsushi flung her hands up when the smoke exploded in front of her, covering her mouth and nose. She whirled, kicking up ice as she tried to find Suzume in the smoke and felt a chill that was not caused by the cold. Cold steel cut into her neck but she was running and ducking before it could take her head completely. A good slice opened up on the side of her neck, blood first spraying then soaking into her collar and scarf "...ha.....ha....b***h." Atsushi pressed a hand to her neck but the blood kept flowing, even when she pressed her scarf to the wound as well. She was dying...but she was going to rip at least a good chunk out of Suzume before she went. She took her hand off the injury, letting the blood flow, and signed sharply. Wolves rose out of the ice around Suzume, three of them, one in front and two on either side, hackles raised and snarling. They were almost as large as she was and their fangs dripped water that froze the instant it hit the ground. Atsushi fell to the ground, clutching her neck and staring as rabidly as the dogs, determined to see Suzume die or at least deeply bit.

After performing the needed handsigns, the user will cause nearby ice to take on the form of a hunting pack [3] of white wolves. These wolves are completely controlled by the whim of the creator, and are capable of causing severe physical injury on their target, thanks to their speed and raw cold strength. This technique requires an existing supply of water or ice in order to form.

Success, despite the ice being kicked up, her blade had managed to slice into Atsushi's neck. Unfortunately, it was not a clean cut that would give her a quick death. As the smoke dispersed, Suzume could see that she had only hit the side of the other's neck, unless the ice froze the blood flow, the other woman would bleed to death. Frowning, Suzume replied "You should have held still. You would have suffered less."

Then she was surrounded by wolves, three, all made of ice that were ready to attack her. Surely they would disappear soon, or at least after Atsushi died. Suzume's flexed her left hand, her fingers still feeling so cold and stiff from the previous attack. The red head merely stood there, taking note of where exactly the wolves were. To the front and side, but none at her back. Suzume kept an eye on each and every one of them and waiting for them to attack.

".....kill her....." Atsushi wheezed, her blood soaking into the ice now. The wolves attacked in a slavering onslaught, all of them at the same time. The one on Suzume's left went straight for her ribs, icy jaws wide enough to take a chunk out of her side. The one in front went straight for her throat, launching itself off the ground as it did. The one on her right went for her thigh, jaws intending to take her leg off at the hip. None of them showed any sign of disappearing any time soon. Atsushi collapsed, still alive, holding on to the last

Considering that these wolves were made of ice and the techniques made the ice quite difficult to cut, evasion and being patient might be the better tactic in this case. As soon as Atsushi gave the order, Suzume was already on the move at the same time as the wolves. Considering that the other woman was loosing plenty of blood, the red head doubted that the other would be able to follow what happened next.

With the dogs launching right at her, Suzume moved back towards the wall. The speed great enough that it left an afterimage behind her for the ice wolves to attack and then go through, causing them to collide if they could not stop in time. The real Suzume's back hit the wall behind her, watching and waiting for the wolves to either collide and be destroyed, or to be ready to defend herself now that she really did not have room to use that same move again.

An unbelievably quick movement technique that has a speed that totally eclipses that of the Body Flicker Technique, with the same range. However, it is difficult to control and can only be used in one direction at a time. This technique creates an after-image where the user had been standing.

Giving a last blood bubbled gasp, Atsushi collapsed at the same time as the wolves collided. She hit the ground, her head cracking into the ice as the wolves exploded. The ice evaporated, leaving her dead body lying in a pool of her own blood. Her body seemed to be developing small cracks and her glazed eyes lost their blue fire.

Seeing the wolves explode, it was almost beautiful seeing the powdery ice float about. Looking over to Atsushi, Suzume grimaced seeing the other stare back at her. Unable to help herself, the red head walked over and turned Atsushi onto her back and closed the dead woman's eyes. She might have been an interesting woman to know if this had not happened, but Suzume could not let her mind stray to such thoughts, she still had others to take care of. "... maybe if I'm not too badly hurt when I come back, I can dig a grave for you." Her, the man at the entrance, and maybe some others.

Sighing softly, Suzume stood up and flexed her left hand. It still looked pale, especially with the ice still about. It didn't hurt as much to force the fingers to uncurl though. Not that it was important for it to uncurl, she just needed it to hold her blade and she would be fine.

With both hands back to the hilt of her sword, Suzume left the room and headed down to the next level.

Descending downwards, Suzume would encounter a large grouping of men, all with bare blades and strong muscle. Determined to stop her before she reached the next boss, they charged her in that small enclosed space. Not caring if they injured a friend or her, they slashed and hacked as they came, some striking with fists. A reward had been offered by the bosses to whoever brought them her head.

Again with this? In this hallway, there was just no way for them to really move and avoid her attacks. Scowling, Suzume had her blade at the ready and began slashing and stabbing as they came at her. They were not going to be much of a challenge for her, although if they intended to wear her out by keeping the men coming at her, then they might succeed in making her arms a bit tired.

Brush Stroke

A series of quick cuts that eclipse the Calligraphy technique in both speed and depth, but are much more difficult to work with. The cuts now pierce all the way through muscles, and can cut in to bone. This technique can only be seen by people with a speed rank higher than the user’s own.

Tokyo

Listening to the madness of men being slaughtered outside his quarters, Tokyo kept at polishing his blade. He was seated in a hexagonal room, the next down from Atsushi's quarters, waiting for the woman to arrive. He'd heard some of what was being trickled down about the intruder to him and found that he was eager to match blades with her.

The men who were fighting outside were quickly learning that they were dying for nothing. The few who realized it began a quick retreat down the steps, allowing Suzume to get past and to the man waiting in the next room.
