The trek from Eterna City from Oreburgh was a rather uneventful one. The weather kept rather well, and it would be a completely pleasant walk. However, Dallas had figured that this time would be best spent exposing Tamara to a slew of music, all in an attempt to help acclimate her to the way other people talked, and what other people listen to. He started off with some hip hop, though he made it a point of order to stray away from some of the more hardcore and violent of jams, and stick to some stuff with a more friendly approach. Though, for his own bully tendencies, he threw in a track that even he didn't care much for. But, as the day turned into night, a much more chill tune came over Dallas' phone.
"So yeah, that's the kinda stuff I listen to," Dallas said. "I'm sure you know there's other kinds of music and s**t, but this is the kind of stuff that'll show you how people talk, you dig?" Beltigre walked next to Dallas as they traveled, as she was much more active in the afternoons and wanted to spend some time with her trainer. She bobbed her head to the music as the companions made their merry way. "See, even Beltigre knows how it works." the fire cat mewed in agreement as she glanced up at her trainer. "Oh yeah, we'll work on your posture, too; you stand way to straight. Gotta loosen up a little, put some swagger on it." He motioned towards his own walking, while not as bad a Skull Grunt's, had a slight looseness that made it clear he wasn't someone to tango with.
As he made his pointers, The lights of Eterna City started to come into view. "Oh hey, we're here. So, you gonna try and beat whatsherface tonight, or is milady too tired?"

En route to Eterna City, Dallas had taken the opportunity to share with her his musical taste. While she noted a few songs didn't sound all that bad... she in general didn't care for the noise they were producing. Din could feel it, but the mischievous sprite new darn well what Dallas meant to Temperance as a teacher and it wouldn't do well to piss the punk off and risk him ditching Temperance. After all, Din herself was raised in Amarantha and knew little of the minds of people like Dallas. Needless to say, the sprite was kind of curious herself, though it was hard to pry into Dallas' mind. In the end, Temperance did as any good Princess would when faced something she didn't like. Grin and bare it; minus the grin. She kept a smile on her lips, listening to the songs as he played them. The last few with the more sombre tone she kind of liked. "Gorillaz... that is an odd way to spell Gorillas...." Temperance replied when the last song started to play. "This music is far different than what I'm used to." She added. "I wouldn't say I hate it, but; Well, it's just not quite my cup of tea." The blonde continued, looking back to the road. "I'm used to Orchestras and Operas. Which, to tell the truth can be boring sometimes. Your music makes me feel animated, like breaking into a dance." Yea, she couldn't say she hated it, perhaps she just needed to hear more and find an artist she could favor?
Dallas added in that this was generally how people talked. While she certainly knew he didn't mean they literally talk like that. To live in a 24/7 musical where everyone rhymed everything they said would draw someone to go insane; she understood his gist. "So people around here shorten words down... Even if they're already short? And using words that mean one thing in another way? And use incorrect letters to replace others?" This was kind of confusing, but she was getting the gist of it, kind of. Saying some phrases from the songs in her head... they just didn't sound right. It was then her mental thoughts were interrupted when Dallas spoke up once more, noting her stance, and the way she walked. "My posture?" She inquired, listening further. "Swagger?" Now she looked straight up confused. What in the word did 'swagger' mean? She understood the 'loosen up a little' part at least. Consciously dropping her shoulders and leaning forward a bit she felt off. She then dropped her hands to the pockets of her jacket, letting herself sort of melt a bit. It wasn't but five minutes later that she straightened up again, but kept her hands in her pockets. It actually had started hurting her back to walk that way. "I don't know how you can stand walking like that. Doesn't your back hurt? Proper posture isn't just something nobles and soldiers do, it should be done by everyone." Temperance noted, rolling her shoulders a bit.
The lights of Eterna caught Tempernace's attention, though the light of the moon and the darkness of the sky made her fell rather tired. They'd walked nearly non-stop since leaving Oreburg. Looking to Dallas as he asked about trying to beat someone she narrowed her eyes to his 'milady' remark. "Okay, we don't say milady either, Joker. Anyway, no. I think I might rest at the Pokemon Center for the night and challenge the gym in the morning. It would be nice to know at the very least what I'm going up against though." She added. "As whom I should prepare for the upcoming battle." The earthy and naturalist vibe in the city made her think of Bug-types or Grass-types, but Epona wouldn't entirely be to useful in that aspect. So that meant Daphnes might be her best bet this go-round.

Tamara's reaction to the music was very much amusing to Dallas. He brushed away her compliments without taking offence. "Don't worry, there's all sorts of stuff you can try out," He replied. "You got metal, classic rock, synthwave, pop, chiptune, mariachi, grunge, punk, J (Johto)-pop, all sorts of jams." And as the conversation shifted more to the actual phonetics in the songs, Dallas furrowed his brow. "You know what slang is, right? That's all it is. Great is dope, bad is whack, rude people are assholes. There's no science to it, you just sorta, say it if it makes sense to you." Trying to explain it in words was far more difficult than he thought it would be.
Posture turned out to be something that Tamara seemed to take to, albeit for just a little bit. "Yeah, your swagger...um, let's say, your bravado. Like, you're this badass swordfighting freedom fighter recruiter, right? So yeah, you got some force of presence. And you show it in your, uh, unique way." He walked side by side with her, and watched the way she tried to match his own style of walking. It was enough to get a smirk and snicker from Dallas, but he didn't outright insult her just yet. "Okay, okay, don't hurt yourself." When the mention of back pain came up, he tutted and stood up straight. "Yeah, sometimes. I don't walk like this all the time, you know. Only when I gotta make sure people know who they're dealing with. Just like when I'm coordinating, gotta save face, ya know?" Dallas was pretty sure she didn't know, but he didn't have to explain everything, especially his reasons for the way he does things.
"Whoa, whoa, you just call me Joker?" Dallas smirked as he looked at Tamara with incredulity. "Maybe you're starting to get the hang of things, that wasn't half bad." Dallas had to agree that it was getting late, and catching some rest before taking on another gym. "Yeah, let's pop a squat for the night and see if we can dig up some dirt on the gym leader. Let's just hit the center." Dallas kept pressing forward into the town. As they got closer to the Pokemon Center, a thought came to Dallas. "So, Tam-Tam, I was wondering, who do ya plan on joining your crew, anyways? If you're looking for some straight up brawlers, I could hook ya up with some old chums from the clink."

If there was one thing Temperance was learning during all this; it was realization of how old-fashioned her country was or perhaps how sheltered she'd really been, despite doing all she could to expose herself to the 'real world', the world outside royal guards and noble duties. She had a felling she wasn't getting deep enough into Amarantha's secrets. After all it wasn't as though Amarantha was so old-fashioned that they didn't have things like Electricity or the internet, modernization was happening at a rapid pace, so fast even that perhaps Temperance had been distracted by other things to realize all that had changed.
The city in which Umbra resided, her best friend and head advisor and also the Gym Leader of that city, made note to tell Temperance every day of the crime and corruption festering in her city, but there was only so much she could do. Was this were she'd find more people like Dallas? "Interesting." Temperance replied. "I'll have to look into those sometime." She added, glancing over to Dallas. He went onto explain 'slang' a term that Temperance actually did know. Slang was used often by the knights, when they didn't know Temperance was listening in. To get the knights to talk to her like a friend was a pipe-dream, something that could never happen. Even their master, her teacher didn't use slang when she was around; he was eager to smack anyone in the back of the head if they didn't use proper language around her, which pissed her off more than naught. However, in Dallas' case, his slang terms weren't entirely the same as the knights' were. "I think I understand. Forgive me if I'm not quick to pick up on using such words right away." Temperance rose a hand to her cheek scratching it lightly; she'd caught herself talking proper again. "You can't learn a new language overnight, right?"
As far as the subject of posture went, Dallas even admitted he didn't always walk like he was. (which Temp had officially registered as looking like a limp) It was merely a way of intimidation she'd calculated. Though she didn't understand why, she figured she couldn't question her 'teachers' methods. "Hmnm... Intimidation tactics weren't really needed back home. People just naturally respected me; uhh, being a daughter of a royal guard after all." Though, back on the subject of not being exposed. Temperance grew to wonder if perhaps she wasn't always going to be respected if she traveled deeper into Amarantha's lower class neighborhoods, the parts of cities she was cited from going to, for fear of being hurt... Had she really been naive until just now to think that everyone in Amarantha respected and loved her father and his rule over Amarantha? Surly not, or else her Uncle would of never gained a following. How stupid of her.
At first Temperance quirked a brow when Dallas mentioned she was 'starting to get the hang of things' Joker was a word she used often, as did many others. Did he expect her to say something like Harlequin or Jester? Whatever the case, a smile crossed her lips followed by a nod. In the end it seemed Dallas was also in the same mind to get some rest at the Pokemon Center, though again he used a 'slang term' as Temperance had gathered. Another term she knew about was 'Trash talk' and it made her wonder how different Dallas' Trash talk was compared to the trash talk of the knights, again of what she'd heard when they didn't know she was around. Just before the reached the Pokemon Center doors however her companion, however temporary, inquired something. She glanced over towards him, thinking on his question. "I'm sure your selection of... friends are great fighters and all, but..." She paused, stopping a moment to think, her eyes on the Pokemon Center's doors. "To be honest, I'm not sure how I'm going to save Amarantha from falling in the wrong hands, let alone what kind of fighters I need to help me." Of course the last thing she wanted was to gather mercenaries that cared more about coin than the cause. She also didn't want to give her Uncle a reason to start a war on the Amaranthian people. No more innocent lives should be lost because of him. She didn't want another Phima.

Not sayin' that's what you did, but a lotta people think that way about upper class stiffs." Dallas felt like the remark had to be said; though it was clear that Tamara wasn't a bad person or a egotistical one, he knew what a low-class person would think of her if she came strolling in, looking to take back a kingdom. And, he would've left it at that, too. But, as they got to the center doors, Tamara's reply made him feel like he had to say something. He sighed, and rested his hands on his hips. "Look, Joan of Arc. What you're wantin' to do isn't something to take lightly. I ain't gonna act like I know anything about fighting tyrants and s**t, but I do know how to win a cell block gang war. Nobody's gonna back you up if they don't think you're tougher than the guy you're trying to take down. So, it's cool that you don't got a plan; first thing's first, work on being the toughest ******** you can be."
The 'teacher' felt pretty strange, having offered some sound, not-so-negative advise to someone other than Naomi, so he added a dash of crappy-ness before stepping into the Pokemon Center. "You know, our just screw it all, and kick it wherever you want," he blurted out dismissively. "Though, I'm pretty sure you wouldn't do that. Despite Dallas' choice in dialect, Temperance heard his message loud a clear. She was self-doubting again. No one would join her cause if they saw any sign of weakness in her resolve. She was also starting to be more aware of Dallas' comparison of knights with cops, they were similar in some ways. News of Unova's police force often under scrutiny for their methods was world-wide news. To think that all her knights were well respected, or well behaved was naive and foolish. There was always a bad apple in a bundle. Looking back to Dallas after yet another nickname he'd picked out for Temperance. This one she actually knew. Who didn't know about Joan of Arc? In the end, the center at their sides, doors opened and a cool breeze casting over the two from within drew them closer to some well needed rest. At first, admittedly Temperance was taken of guard by his 'smell you later'. Thinking perhaps she smelt bad, she had missed her chance for a shower after all before all the random shenanigans happened with the gala and the incense. But, her mind was quick to realize this was just his way of saying 'see you later.' "Same to you." She replied, grinning rather proudly for having figured that one out so quickly. Umbra had also shown her how to listen to music on it, along with various other technological gadgets that she'd otherwise never really messed with before. "I recall the list of music you offered me. Later that evening. Temperance emerged from a steamy hot shower, finally relieved she'd actually been able to take one. During this said shower, Din sat in the bathroom with her, flipping through the various genre's of music available on Temperance's phone. There were a great many songs that caught the blonde's attention, likely much to Dallas' demise they were all relatively classical or heavily instrumental. She did find some music in the genre of Symphonic metal as likely because of it's orchestral background. 'Face it, Temp you're stuck in the era of Violins and Harps.' Din joked as they left the bathroom. Temperance turned to look at Din as she sat on one of the beds in the room. "You may be right, but it's the kind of music that appeals to me." She replied. "I grew up with it nearly everyday in my life. It sounds good and it helps me focus. I'm sure the music Dallas listens do does the same for him." She added. "Now, I think it's best we all get some rest for now, and I'll call Umbra in the morning to update her." The room was in collective agreement to Temperance's suggestion. "Good night, everyone." She added tucking herself into bed, while Din got the lights. Within an hour the team was fast asleep.

Once Dallas had taken a good shower, he checked his phone, hopeful for another message from Naomi. Instead, he saw a message from his (Austin's) agent, Miss Anthrope. I've added the pictures you've taken to your social media. They've gotten positive feedback, so I insist you post at least one picture of yourself a day. Attached is your account information and a list of acceptable and unacceptable picture choices. Dallas sighed, and realized he wasn't gonna be able to just plop down for some sleep just yet. He ran through the list, and quickly pulled out his contest gear to get himself somewhat gussied up for a good photo. "Geez, this chick is a real piece of work..." A good hair combing, a touch of foundation, and the faintest amount of lip gloss later, and Dallas looked like Austin once again. As for a photo, he simply put on the robe he had pilfered from that Alolan Family, and took a selfie of himself with Beltigre in his lap. Bedtime for us! Once he hit send, Dallas plopped down on the bed, and wiped the makeup off on his rob sleeve. Beltigre crawled from his lap to his chest, and sprawled out with a yawn. "Yeah, I'm feeling pretty pooped, too," he mumbled. It had been an interesting few days, that much was certain. He would be joining Tamara in finding and battling the gym in town, and then, he was off to Floraroma Town once again. Maybe she'd want to tag along? Who knew; Dallas really couldn't say he cared what she decided to do. But, there was some part that wondered if she was actually going to pull off her goal. "She's a real nut," he yawned. "She's got a snowball's chance in hell...then again, they said the same thing about me, too..." With the thought to ponder on, Dallas closed his eyes, and fell asleep.

Once morning broke, Dallas woke to find out that his phone had been blowing up all night with likes, comments, and notices of following and friend requests. "Seriously? I gotta have like, a hundred updates...people really eat this s**t up, huh?" Beltigre mewed, and scratched at the door of their room. "Heh, yeah, who cares when you gotta take a dump, right? Let's go outside."
It was still early morning when Dallas and Beltigre went outside. Dallas was wearing a pair of basketball shorts and a wife-beater, as it was a lot easier to get a good run in that sort of getup than his usual stuff. There was a small park next to the center, which was a good place for Beltigre to take care of business and a decent spot for Dallas to get in some exercise. Dallas started off with a few laps around the perimeter of the park, breaking a good sweat, and found the monkey bars to be a good spot to get in some pull-ups. It reminded him of working out in the yard back in the shitty days, but he'd be lying if he said he didn't care for the results. The rest of his Pokemon, however, simply enjoyed goofing around in the park; Duchess joined Beltigre in some business-taking-care-of, and then lounged around in the sun that was peaking out. Susan and Meloetta played a rousing game of tag while Buns use the slide over and over again. And finally, Riptide, now large and in charge, gave Dallas some weight training as the two play-fought. At a passing glance, it would almost look like the large shark was trying to eat Dallas, but the shark didn't plan on eating this particular human.

Despite how exhausted she'd been, the princess found herself waking just as sky started turning light. Her eyes opened, glancing over to the clock that rested on the bed-side table. 4:59 it displayed. Sitting up, she looked across her room, her small team congregated on the bed she was sleeping on, save for Epona who'd taken to the floor... though she was sleeping on the same side that Temperance had been sleeping on. Reaching down she gently stroked the pony's neck. Epona's eyes fluttered open before she rose her head up to look at Temperance. "Good morning, Epona. I'm surprised to see you sleeping so close." Temperance mentioned. The pony shook her head and mane, whinnying a bit before getting to her feet with a good stretch. She still seemed distant, but perhaps winning that badge back in Oreburg had earned Temperance at least the privilege of the pony's presence? To think small metal object held that much power over the loyalty of a Pokemon. Or perhaps that was just a simplification of the truth behind Epona's sudden closeness.
Regardless, with the morning, came time to wake everyone up and begin their routine. She hadn't been to strict in following her normal regime. This came from not being used to life outside of the Castle, along with the notion that she couldn't openly do some of the things she used to in her morning schedule, thus she'd been rather flaky on it. "First things first, I much call Umbra." Temperance stated, addressing her team. "Then the rest of our day can start." She added. From her room she slowly and quietly made her way to the lobby, nodding a greeting to the over-night nurse. While it was roughly 5:3o at this point, in Amarantha it was closer to midnight. Umbra was a night-owl, so Temperance was sure the woman would be awake at this time.
After two rings, Temperance was greeted by the face of a dark-skinned woman, dressed down with what had to be about 5 pounds of gold jewelry. "Tamara" She spoke, smiling the impish way she always did. "Good morning, Blanche." Temperance replied, using her own impish tone. "I wanted to report that I'm traveling with someone now. He's rather... bold, in the way he speaks and moves." She added. Umbra seemed rather somber to the news, her smile never wavered, but her eyes relayed a message that Temperance quickly picked up. "I am more than positive he's not apart of.... that group. Dallas is nothing more than a ruffian-" Catching herself, she glanced away from Umbra's gaze. That was kind of rude of her to say. " Well, not entirely a ruffian- he's not bad is what I'm trying to say." Umbra kept silent for a good solid 2o seconds before finally bursting into laughter. "Oh, so you've picked up your first recruit? A street rat with a heart of gold, right? Tam, you sure know how to pick'em." Temperance puffed a cheek, she got where Umbra was going with that comment. "Pick them!? I'm not picking anyone. Uh-Blanche, you darn well why I'm traveling and it's not to pick up men." Once more Umbra burst out into laughter. "Okay, okay, don't get so riled up, Tam. So you really think he's not apart of that group? Is he a strong fighter? " Temperance nodded several times. "He's rough around the edges, has his own way of showing intimidation, but I do sense a lot of good in him, so don't worry. No one like Dallas could belong to those people."
After about an hour of talking over various subjects, all translated in different ways into a secret code of sorts as to what was going on in the Kingdom. What Team Royale was up to. The whereabouts of select people of interest and bit more on Dallas and his team, Temperance and Umbra hung up with one another. Pushing away from the phone, Temperance turned to her team. Giving them a warm smile. "Okay. Now that that's all settled, let's go see if Dallas is around, and if he still wants to join me at the gym?" Azalev nodded, as did Daphnes. Epona whinnied in agreement, while Din simply stretched out and floated over to her shoulder. They asked around, and the Over-night nurse mentioned seeing someone fitting Dallas' description leaving awhile ago. Temperance followed suit, heading outside to find he hadn't actually left-left, but was seemingly training with one of his Pokemon. A Pokemon of which Temperance didn't recognize. It's basic structure made her think of Sharpedo, but more complete. Was this a sub-species or a species all it's own? She was curious and wanted to ask, but she knew more than anyone not to disturb someone while they were busy.
Temperance was in luck though, relatively speaking. As she was about to turn towards her team and suggest they do a bit of exercising, a Ponyta shot out from the woods, bucking as if something were on its back. The pony looked to be going crazy, not caring whom or what was in its path. Needless to say it had to be stopped. "Din, keep your distance and try to calm that Ponyta down." Temperance instructed. Of course the sprite obliged, feeling eager to battle a bit. Though, she got seemingly a bit to close as the pony's tail whipped around and smacked the sprite back a bit. "I did say to keep your distance." The sprite looked back with a deadpan look on her face. She then looked back and held up her hands, casting Confusion on the ponyta. As the pony was already in a rampage, it didn't seem Din's confusion did much of anything to the fire-type. It did however turn and shoot a ball of fire at the sprite, pelting her near perfectly. Pouting a bit at actually being hit, the Sprite cast Confusion once more. This time it seemed to calm the Ponyta down enough so that its attention was fully on Din. However, it's apparent focus was just the side effect of Din's attack taking hold. The Pony rushed forward suddenly, stumbling last second and fell over on it's side, subsequently knocking itself out. Well, that was one way to fell a Pokemon...

Just as Dallas was sure that he just got the upper hand on Riptide, a wild Ponyta broke his concentration, causing him to end up face first into the Sharenkalor's maw. "MmpH! Mmpghgp!" After some minor trashing, Riptide spat out his trainer in a slinging arc, and to his credit, Dallas stuck the landing. Riptide made a guttural set of small growls that was actually just his way of laughing victoriously. "Yeah, yeah, maybe if I grew three times as big, I'd kick your a**, too," And now that he was free, Dallas could finally see what the ruckus was all about. It looked like Tamara and Din were taking care of the spooked Ponyta, and had just gently brought it down in the grass. Dallas and Riptide decided to head on over, then, leaving the others to keep playing and relaxing.
"Well well well! I didn't think you'd get up this early, Tamara." the implication was there, naturally, that because of her pedigree she'd be a late riser, but it was much less pointed as it would've been the day before; it seemed the long Dallas was in someone's presence that didn't completely piss him off, the less rude he got (however marginal it was). Riptide waddled closer to Tamara across the grass, and gave her a sniff like a predator after prey, but simply huffed, losing interest. He remembered her from the banquet hall, when he was crunching down on old silverware. Dallas leaned up against Riptide as he glanced over at the Ponyta out in the grass. "Man, that poor filly was pretty spooked about something," he noted. He looked out towards the tree line, but he didn't see anything that came off as strange. "Yeah, so good job. That Ponyta probably woulda wrecked herself pretty hard if you hadn't bowed up."
After giving his compliment, the Ponyta started to stir, and got to her feet. It looked back at the group of strangers in front of her, and lowered her head for a charge. But, Dallas went from his slouched posture to his full, upright height, and with a mean glare, the Ponyta turned, and ran back towards the woods again. "...anyways, I'm ready to go lay out this gym leader if you are, Stonewall Jackson," he added nonchalantly.
►The next morning~ Yukie had long since gotten in her morning run and shower and was in the middle of getting dressed when Sonoko finally began to wake up. In no particular rush to make herself decent Yukie pulled on her bra and began next with a shirt. Everything else was on. "Tell me you at least have on pants?" Yukie ignored the remark and stood. She did indeed but wasn't about to lose out on a perfectly good chance to ******** with the white-haired fem. Sonoko sighed and swung her legs out of bed to stand. She caught Sonoko's demeanor shift from the corner of her eye. Looking up Sonoko leaned in to get a better look, touching at the new wound. Yukie hissed pushing the fem away as she recoiled. "Oww, what gives?' Sonoko rolled her eyes and headed for the bathroom.
