Quote: 14: The ground is so slippery where you've ended up that you end up sliding down a steep incline and into a rocky cavern. There is an abandoned lean-to here, and plenty of guano.
Stemma fell down the cavern, kicking and screaming. Thankfully her lusus had fallen faster, and was able to cushion her fall. Unthankfully, she slid off the side of him and slid deeper into the catacomb, eventually falling near a makeshift lean-to. Covered in guano and cave crumbs, Stemma gave a long, uninterrupted whine and cried for her lusus.
"Krampaaaa! Krampaaaa!" Stemma couldn't care less about the lean-to, not when it was surrounded by so much... grossness. "Krampa help me out of here!" She scrambled towards him, until he dropped down to her level.
"Pick me up!!" She cried, and the lusus agreeably took her into his big arms. She didn't leave his arms until they surfaced from the catacombs.

The greenblood had felt the ground give out underneath him, then the sudden ugly feeling of his stomach raising as he fell and heard the desperate bork plea of Borkuisinier as he tumbled down into the darkness.
The clown chef awoke in a dusty four by four little tunnel it seemed. Coughing slightly, he got himself up and checked to see that he wasn't hurt. After stretching and assessing that everything was fine, he looked up at towards the only apparent exit.
”Well, this is certainly going to be a hell of a climb!”
Reaching into his pockets, he retrieved his knives and reinforced string. Tying the knives carefully to his hands, he began climbing up the thick old roots along the walls of the tunnel and began his ascent, stabbing into the roots for better traction. As he climbed, he recited a solemn hymn to himself, ”What is a juggalo? A juggalo That's what it is Well, ********, if I know What is a juggalo? I don't know But I'm down with the clown And I'm down for life, yo”

He tried to save a bro. He tried to even just hold onto a bro. But, as he fell down, Guo lost his grip. Hell, he was lucky he didn't lose his sandals. Guouli rolled onto his knees, squinting in the darkness. where the hell was he? A figure shifted and spoke. But not Fletch. That pipsqueak voice-mimic. Not the worst thing that could happen, honestly.
He looked over at the source of the squeaking, what was making Acteon go to their lusus.
Ah, yes, vermin. Guo tch'd and pulled out a switchblade. Poking it at the squeakbeasts, they kept their distance.
"If these stupid rats try to ******** with me, I'll gut 'em." The one thing he couldn't get arrested for, probably. "If you think you see any of the other twerps, feel free to take point, pipsqueak."

Eridia went down, and Mera soon went down with her. Ice crept up her body, and she landed on her side, cracking it. But it did soften her landing. She did have to groan, though. This investigation...could be going better.
Mera pushed herself to her feet after a moment, shaking off her ice. God, it smelled bad down here. And she could barely see. She needed a flashlight. Maybe get one during her next break...
"Eridia?" she called. "Eridia! Sergeant Tsifer!" No way to know if the purpleblood could see or hear her. But Mera couldn't just wait or go in deeper. The conditions were cramped, and unsafe.
Plus, she could see a tunnel not too far from her. A rank tunnel, but it was somewhere to go. "Eridia, if you can hear me, follow my voice!"
Hemera started pushing her way to the tunnel, calling every so often to hopefully try to lead Eridia along.
The first breath of fresh air would be so, so sweet.

Quote: 10: After a couple of hours, you find that you recognize a crossroads that you've seen before. You've gone in circles.
Lorata came to slowly, surrounded by debris and the remains of the ladder that had failed to keep her safely up above. The several moments it took her to make sense of her situation, where she was and how she had gotten there and why her head ached, were enough of a warning to know she'd been out for a bit. How long was anyone's guess, but Odette and Zindel were nowhere in sight.
Brushing off her uniform as best she could, the seadweller stood and pressed her fingers to her temple. It hadn't been so terribly long since she'd gotten over the concussion and there was a sliver of fear that she'd managed another one that grew and grew as more bad memories stacked up on it. The falling, the fact that she was alone when just a moment ago she'd had companions, the decaying scent of the tunnel...
She shook her head suddenly, dropping her hand to her side as she straightened her posture and began to walk. The redbloods wouldn't have dared to leave her for dead, so she must have simply fallen out of their reach or into a different tunnel system. That abomination she remembered beneath Chittentown was dead. Her aches were nothing.
It took hours, and if the tunnels sounded with echoes of frustrated screams when she found she'd circled back by accident, there was no one around to pin it on her. She'd find the way out in her own time.

Sephos Arbola Sephos could handle falls. He could handle darkness. He picked himself up and shivered thoughtfully in the breeze, knowing that he could use that breeze to find his way out.
He was fine.
But where was the young brownblood? "Frendo?" he called out, seeking him out in the darkness. On a hunch, he followed the sound of whimpering into the darkened labrynth, ignoring a few false starts (other trolls, he guessed, not his business if they were also lost) until he found his... well, friend, he supposed.
He offered his hand to Frendo. "Lets get out." he said, as his thinkpan slowly compiled a mental map out of his steps.
Quote: Party: Frendo 19: Even in the closed-off tunnels, you feel a stinging cold breeze pass you by. Location: Catacombs 3 item (Moss, Rope Bracelet, Pizza Box)

Captain Kursha Vidari
Even Kursha felt ill at ease in the catacombs. The dark, the stink, the wet... none of it felt right. This was not a place for the living. At least not for anyone who had any common sense.
The greenblood roamed the labyrinthine underground with one hand on the wall to guide him through the darkest parts. He had lost Sarcel and the others in the fall and navigated the corridors alone. Despite himself, he found himself desperately wishing for their company. The lonely sound of the dripping water amidst the quiet put his nerves on edge. Occasional shadows jumped out from the walls at him. Still he found nothing to fear; the only rats he found scattered at his presence. He hoped the others fared no worse off than himself, though he could not imagine his moirail was too happy about the current predicament.
After about twenty minutes of wandering through the dark, Kursha heard a distant rumble. A fresh, but salty breeze struck his nostrils. Following the breath of wind, he came upon an opening. The night sky twinkled over the ocean and sea spray splashed against his face. Peering out, Kursha saw the steep cliffs overhead. Below, it was a straight drop to the water.
He adjusted his gloves and grit his teeth. He had one hell of a climb to get back to the top.

Kerras Farron
Kerras stood frozen, legs locked, but jaw set with determination. The beast let out a roar, exposing rows upon rows of sharp teeth and a gullet like a well. The tealblood's hair whipped about their face amid flecks of spittle and a foul stench. Still, they did not run. Wiping the slime from their face, they took a step towards the beast. With their hand outstretched, they reached out to touch it. The beast tensed, muscles rippling as it prepared to spring. Kerras' finger brushed a massive scale.
They felt the rush of air before they heard it. A snap of teeth closed on where their head had been just a half second before. Stepping out from under their feet, the podling hauled them along down the corridor away from the monster.
“Wait! No!” Kerras cried, desperately tugging against the lusus' grip. “It's okay!” It was too late though. The monster thrashed through the corridor behind them, causing the very earth to shake. Bits of the ceiling and walls came loose and splashed down into the channel. The hunt had begun. Helpless, Kerras followed their lusus' lead.
