Returning Dusknoir and gathering his things together Simon didn't notice the blue light pulsing in his pack. It was somehow calling all trainers in the area towards him. Before he could leave a man wearing a yellow costume came out of another tunnel. "I love just wandering around these tunnels" the newcomer said taking a sip of something and blowing it out, lighting it on fire with a torch he had. Introducing himself as Fire breather Andy he requested a battle which Simon agreed sending out Greninja this time to take on the fire Pokemon. The first foe was "Pyroar the royal Pokemon. The male with the largest mane of fire is the leader of the pride."

Leaving the Cave Simon noticed someone outside fishing. Asking how the Pokemon were biting caused the guy to turn and smile nodding. "Sure are, how about I show you with a battle?" Knowing that getting into all of these battles was because of the VS Seeker but he didn't know how powerful it was going to be. Regardless he accepted the battle against Fisherman Gavin keeping Paras out to train some more.

Shaking his head Gavin cast the line out returning his fainted Pokemon. Catching the ball he attached it to his belt before dipping his line back into the water for a moment. Seeing the line get tugged he yanked it out as the Pokeball flew into the arena and opened up revealing an Alomomola. "How are you doing that?"Simon asked. Gavin smiled and touched his nose, "Fishing secret." Chuckling and shaking his head Simon nodded at Dusknoir to continue to battle. Alomomola used heal pulse healing Dusknoir to max HP again earning an odd look from Simon and Dusknoir who attacked again, winning this round.

For his final Pokemon Gavin once again did the fishing rod trick. The last Pokeball sent out, "Basculin the hostile Pokemon. Red and blue Basculin usually do not get along, but sometimes members of one school mingle with the other's school." Gavin's was a blue Basculin, just as tough as any of the other Pokemon he had seen today. However for one reason or another like Barbaracle Basculin used a normal attack which didn't effect the ghost Pokemon Dusknoir. Once the battle was won Simon saw that both Pokemon leveled up but Paras was ready to evolve. There was a flash of light which surprised Gavin who pushed back his head. On the ground Paras evolved into, "Parasect the mushroom Pokemon. Parasect is known to infest large trees en masse and drain nutrients from the lower trunk and roots. When an infested tree dies, they move onto another tree all at once."
