Sparrow's eyes moved to study the new, white one as she approached, her gaze fierce and calculating and very noticing of this one's greater-than-her-own tail feathers too. Featherbrains both of them must be; with so much gone to the rear, how much could be left for the brain. However, relative to the demeanor of the turkey before her, Sparrow was sure this newcomer was a much greater threat. But she could take her, of course she could.
For she was the mighty Sparrow!
"I'am Sparrow," she retorted, her arms crossing over her chest and her wings bristling out just slightly behind her. She waited at this, trying to judge what it was these other two were after in this conversation, what all they had to gain in challenging her to a verbal confrontation.

Pelagious had just about had enough of being ignored when a flash of pretty dark curly hair appeared at just about bar top level. It wasn't... It couldn't...
"My LOVE!!! I found you!!!" He yelled, jumping up and half over the bar. Or at least that's what he thought he did. In reality, his nerves had cause his mouth to babble random words and his limbs to jerk. So instead of on the counter, he wound up on the floor. Strewn over his chair like a drunk. Or a pae having a seizure.
To any other pae, this would be embarrassing. But Pelagious decided, since he was on the floor anyway, might as well get some CPR. So he twitched for good measure.
That was the plan anyway, until he heard the party announced over the loud speaker. Deciding that a different tactic was in order(since his soon to be hubby was so shy), he jumped up, sashayed over to the barkeep, and told him "Tell my sweet chunk of blueberry sherbert that I shall be waiting for him at the ball. Oh Pothos! Twill be a night he won't forget!"
With a wink at Himeros to ensure that he was serious, he sauntered off, digging his speedo out of where it had naturally lodged in his flight from the bar.

Day 1 Summary Following their absolutely blissful massages (boy did Olga and Bob have some magical little fingers), the couple pair casually made their way to the upper deck. The air was salty and warm, with just enough of a breeze to keep it absolutely perfect for some extended personal time. Aquarious used it to read from a newly-published book on the flowers of the Waplei Delta that she had brought, while Thulani, not one for reading, instead took to watching the waves and clouds, drifting in and out of sleep as he did so. As evening drew, they watched the sunset together, exchanging few words between them as they did so. Such noise was unnecessary. Neither would admit it, but both found the moment to be particularly beautiful due to the other's presence. Following dinner paired with a perfectly-picked glass of Euphrosyne's wine, they returned to their sleeping quarters. It was a pleasant evening spent talking among just the two of them, with him warmly recounting some memories of his childhood and family and her the same. Some were touching, some sad, and some so tinged with embarrassment one could only laugh at the sheer awkwardness of it all. Not as awkward, however, as when it came time to sleep, for neither would allow the other to forsake the bed and retire to the couch. Instead they curled up together, back to back. Eventually sleep overpowered their other emotions, and sleep well they did. [and with that, Kira and I move them to the party]
Antidia Since we're going ahead and summarizing their evening, you don't need to reply with the mellons/Aglaia if you don't want to. smile

Day 1 Summary To Saira, the day was anything but a pleasant one. Each time she thought she'd been rid of that stupid pigeon of a sister, the thing would reappear to spite her. For her part, Hatil was being intentionally spiteful, outright going out of her way to tail the she-crow and make sure no fun would come to her. That seemed to be the most joyous thing to do on this ship. Sure, she could have gone out and made some friends (or other enemies), but why do that when there was a sister so close that could be so easily annoyed? By the time the evening rolled around, the larger harpy had had enough. Whoever was so unfortunate as to have a room adjacent (or in the nearby vicinity) to the pair could probably recount the (loud) bickering that had gone on for seemingly hours. It had taken more than one cherub coming to ask them to quiet and threatening to tell their mother before they begrudgingly complied. After all, there was nothing more terrifying than their mother when she was angered. They fell asleep on opposite sides of the room, Saira taking claims over the entire bed and Hatil left to move the couch against the opposite wall for sleep. [and with that, I move them to the party]

Yukiko had just about gotten situated on her lounge with her book resting on her stomach and open to the last page she had read. This would certainly be a nice way to spend her day, and possibly part of the night as well. She did enjoy star gazing sometimes. A flash of blue and red over the top of her book made her look up. No... That couldn't possibly be her granddaughter. The cruise was meant for adults; there was no way that Adelphos would have let the kids come. The blue angel sat up and slid her sunglasses down from her face. "Amynta? Is that you?" she called, already a little grandma in her tone. Adelphos had been trouble enough all by herself, she could only imagine what the three of them got up to at home and that was with two parents watching over them. Twitchapher the 3rd Bwahaha. Grandma on deck!
Adelphos blushed and smiled sheepishly when she seemed to have read his mind. "Well if you're not opposed," he said teasingly, chuckling softly. He held her closer as he tried to remember what the cherub had said about their room. "I think it's this way?" he said and tugged her toward what was clearly the cabins for first class. He murmured their cabin number under his breath as they looked then opened the door when they came to it. "Wow," he murmured. "Looks pretty nice, huh?" He grinned. He didn't remember booking such elegant rooms, but maybe being the first mate's son had something to do with the arrangements. "We'll definitely be comfortable for this trip, won't we?" He laughed softly and pulled her back against his chest, kissing her cheek lightly.
Ruzeh flopped on the bed in their cabin and sighed happily. "Ooh, this is comfy," she said with a smile before sitting up to take the itinerary handed to her from Noir. Her stomach was still doing flips every once in a while but she was determined to ignore it. She laid her hand there and rubbed absently as she looked over the events and services offered on the cruise. "Mmhmm, the casino still sounds like fun," she said and laid the itinerary on the bed as she stood. "Maybe later we could stop in to the party, too, just to say we did." She still remembered the time she got stuck in that stupid maze. Noir had rescued her, of course, but it was still not her favorite memory of Venus' parties.
Ophelia barely had any time to admire the view that was the yoga instructor when she was shoved into some yoga pose. She didn't even know what the damn thing was called. Her ego was also a little bruised; he hadn't even commented on her bikini. She huffed to herself, ignoring the fact that there were, of course, many pae were there to be instructed. Or possibly just to ogle like she was. Whatever. She wasn't even sure why she wanted to be here except to check out the hottie.
She sighed, looking up when someone nearby spoke to her. Straightening out of that ridiculous pose, the demon shrugged. "No clue. Something about yoga hottie being dead? He doesn't look very dead to me. You?" Daisicle Sorry it took me so long D| Also Carnelian poofed x3 and if you wanted to move Shah and Ophie to the party, she's totally cool with that x3
Arc-en-Roche relaxed a bit more when it became clearer that Lyneeson wasn't actually mad at him for lugging the flour sack on board the ship. "Yeah. Seriously. At least I can leave it in the room for the trip. Fingers crossed we don't cross paths with my parents the whole time." Yeah. Right. Wishful thinking, right there.
He flushed a little as they both came to the same conclusion at once. One bed. But they had a couch. "Right, so we can switch off. You can take the bed first," he said with a small smile. "So what should we wear to the casino?" he asked, chewing his lip absently. Lyneeson had always been better at flirting than Arc was. It didn't help that Arc still stuttered and stammered around people that weren't his family or Lyn. It was weird, really. Or maybe it wasn't. Lyn had been his best friend for pretty much his whole life. Even if a lot of that had been spent with Lyn ogling Arc's sister.
Carnelian was almost glad that the yoga cutie missed molding her into that silly looking pose. She wasn't sure looking that silly was worth having his hands on her. She blinked when a feline looking female sat next to her, but she was talking to the lady on the other side of her so she kinda tuned her out in favor of watching yoga cutie.
For a few minutes anyway. Even checking out hot guys got boring for the active teenager. Right. What else could she get into while she was on the ship? She stepped out of the yoga room drenched in sweat and steam. Ew. Maybe she could take a dip in the pool. Now that sounded fun. With a smile, she nearly skipped up to the deck with the pool. Hopefully her parents were doing something else. Not that they could send her home. This was such a perfect time to sneak away from the house!

Day 1 Summary After some amount of time, the two naiad began to walk the length of the ship, making small talk in-between the pleasant 'silence' of the ocean's waves. Naturally, the ship felt far larger that it had appeared at the deck, and some time passed before they returned to their starting point. Normally, they might have been dehydrated at this point, but the salt water being flicked into the air had kept their skin just damp enough to avoid it. The pool was their next destination, however. Surprisingly (or not), their children were nowhere to be seen among the other patrons utilized the space, mostly just other couples adults looking to partake in the refreshing feeling of the pool. It wasn't until suppertime that they found Autumn and Pearl again, and the four shared the meal together. It was mostly the teenagers whose excited voices dominated the conversation, but neither adult hesitated to interject when appropriate (well, Kelebek may have hesitated a bit). Once finished, the families said their goodbyes and retired to their respective rooms. [and with that, Mene and I move them to the dance thread]
Day 1 Summary It may have taken some effort and a little bit of help from passing strangers, but eventually Autumn and Pearl were freed of the pool and ready to take on the world ship in their search for love food. It didn't take too terribly long to find it, not with the most helpful directions of cherubs to point them in the right direction. The two teenagers' appetites appeared to be unsatiable with how much they consumed, although eventually they did stop and move elsewhere (to digest). That somewhere was the edge of the upper deck, where they watched the ocean and thought of canoodling until it was time to eat once more. Once dinner approached, the two happened upon their parents and spent the remainder of the evening as described above. [and with that, Mene and I also move them to the dance thread]

Busy couldn't even begin to explain it. Anteros was physically and mentally exhausted from the job he had been given. He was sure all of his siblings were, it took a lot to not only man a boat, but also entertain Pae of all sorts. He'd felt honored that his mother would give him such a high rank on the boat, and took his job seriously. Being the First Mate meant a lot of supporting work to the Captain as well as overseeing the passengers. He'd taken it on with the utmost vigor he could handle despite the slight pain in his heart- of course Eros was Captain.
Still, there was a part of him that wasn't all there. He'd seen her, seen the beauty of his life enter the ship. He'd seen her settle herself in and sun bathe on the deck. His heart ached at the sight. How radiant her skin looked as it was kissed by the sun! How he longed to have her near him, to be able to sit by her side and enjoy her presence. It made working with his siblings excruciating. Every request made of him brought a slight bitterness, but he pushed the feelings aside. He could wait for a moment. His duties were important to his mother.
His dedication to the task was rewarded. He'd found a way out and made his way quickly through the ship towards her room. He'd seen her still on deck, and as much as he would love to join her he knew he didn't have much time, instead this would have to do. He found his way in and laid a bouquet of flowers on her bed where he knew she would see it. On top of that he laid a folded up parchment with her name on the front and a letter written inside:
Quote: Dearest Yukiko, I am so sorry we haven't been able to meet up yet. Venus has given me a high honor on the ship, and my duties keep me busy. Know that I am constantly thinking of you, though. When I had first heard about this trip I thought it would finally be something we'd get to be alone for. It makes me incredibly sad that's not the case, but I try to keep my spirits up by knowing at least we will get some time together. Speaking of time, I got to thinking about how we could make the most of it with my job on board. I was given an incredible room that's way too large for one person. Would you like to join me? If so, I can have some cherubs move your stuff immediately. Evenings are my own to do with as I please and nothing would make me happier than to spend them with you. I can't express how much I hate doing this by note instead of person, but could I ask one more thing of you? Nothing would make me happier than having you as my date for the Love Boat celebration. If you do agree to staying with me then I suppose I will have the joy of receiving your answer in person. I am so looking forward to seeing you. Yours always, Anteros
He lightly brushed his fingers over the flower petals, a painful ache filling his chest. A part of him wished she'd walk in right then so he could take her up in his arms and never let go. Instead he leaned over and dropped a gentle kiss on the flower. He knew these weren't enough to express how he was feeling. The longing to be near, the amount of love that drove him, but in the least he hoped they would make her smile.
He straightened up and headed for the door. Now he had something to look forward to once his duties were complete. He didn't doubt he'd get the chance to see her this evening and that drove him forward. He'd push through his duties as quick as he could so he could possibly have more time with her.
