After running his laps about the pitch, Canaan mounted up, and positioned himself for the toss-up. When the game started, there was the usual aerial scrum from the Quaffle, and the lopsided red ball was being moved about. Looking about, Canaan tried to make a swipe and get the Quaffle over to the Bronze side.

Sona made idle circles in the air, searching diligently. Below, the Quaffle was being stolen and bludgers were flying, but where was the snitch?
She had just caught Aidene and Jonah both hit the bludger with their arm--yikes! Hope they're okay instead of the bat when she spotted the tiny flash of gold zoom off, just shy of the bludger’s path.

Aidene had been looking forward to at least watching Jonah--ever since Rion had started telling wild tales of Jonah punching werewolves she'd had to update her concept of Jonah from "Rion's whale brother" to "badass who ate bludgers for breakfast". Today though, it seemed like he was also opting for the get-hit technique. "You watch yourself!" she laughed back, probably getting too much of a kick out of it.
Not for long though. She let out a whoop when Iggy stole the Quaffle for their side. The bludger--or the other one-- was coming back around and she gripped her bat with determination. If her teams's beaters were a little roughed up, then it was up to her to level the playing field a little. She swung, this time aiming for Lillith.
Nowhere near. Maybe the older girl wouldn't notice that she'd even aimed for her? But at least she had hit it away properly!

There hadn’t been much time to recover--or pay much attention to Aidene's laughter--before another bludger was flung towards him. With a jolt of his broom to the side, he narrowly escaped Charlie’s attack, the wind of the ball blowing past his ear. ‘Yikes.’
He’d like nothing more to return the favor, but he wagered that’s what his usual partner would have expected of him. Speeding after the bludger, he switched his bat to his right and took another go at Lavinia, who had been persistent to steal the quaffle from Team Blue.

Benny had maneuvered to the left towards the right hoop. Managing to grab the quaffle from the air as he did so. With a smile, Benny looked for a free chaser. Spotting Canaan he passed the ball off to him.
