Sora averted his eyes as she responded to him, feeling her poke his chest. It wasn't so much playing hero, he was just confident in himself after his last run with Kaileer. In terms of ambushing, hiding, and overall guerrilla combat, he had significantly improved. "I feel like you're going to come with me no matter what I say or do anyways..." He responded in his own grumble-like tone, letting out a long sigh after. "Fine, we had to Raijin Bay together and make sure the civilians are safe. Once we clear the area of any threats or casualties, we make a report to the Kage. I don't want to chase the things that did this with just the two of us." He explained, looking back to match her gaze at some point, bringing his sword back to its sheath as well. With his hands free, he stuffed them in the front pockets of his white kumo flak, keeping the cowl he wore above his nose for as long as they were in the area.
"Please...stick close to me." He said lightly, barely above a whisper, wanting her to stay safe. It was just odd for the young Hiraite to say those words when he spent most of his time distancing himself from others. The words felt foreign to his lips. With that done, he turned, wanting to set a good pace towards the Raijin Bay so that he could hopefully save some people before it was too late.
The pair are fairly difficult to keep up with to begin with due to their nature as balls of pure energy, but out here in the countryside, this was even more clear. Compounded onto the fact that the duo were quickly bounding through the trees and across fields was the fact that they moved in sync, with Jay's feet coming from his sisters to add to their velocity, make sharper turns and angular movements that barely seemed possible for a singular being.

Jeon was surprised to see the girl pick up and float, and being that the duo were not well versed in the kekkei genkai in these lands even now, She was keeping up without having to do much, which made Jeon smile. "Well, that's convenient!" she called to her brother, about foot to her left, keeping pace with her, not showing signs of any fatigue yet. The duo kept their eyes open for anything resembling a trap, listening for any sounds as they raced at speeds higher than one would expect. They curved away from the prarie, aiming to the proverbial silk roads between villages.

Just as before, J&J came acrobatically back through the lands, and where there was no room for jumping, they simply ran, showing off an impressive raw speed to their entourage, such as it were.

After a few minutes of stomping off down the road and grumbling to herself, Shion had finally leveled herself off and was... well... I'll say relatively calm. She took a moment to look back at the road behind her and realized she was getting a little too far ahead of the group, so she decided to wait for them to all catch up... most of them at least. If Unki or Xion arrived before the client, she'd probably walk off again. What can I say... Shion can hold a grudge.
As the venturing party continued their merry way toward Raijin Bay they would find little to no inconveniences along the way. Well physical inconveniences that was. The glass wolves that roamed the area having been death with not once but twice unbeknownst to the adventuring group. There was nothing but time between the party to kill.. at least for now.
Toso was in the back of the party using his large brush not unlike a walking stick. Meanwhile a disgruntled squid man would exclaim to a Shion who had advanced ahead of the group haughty. "OY BLOOP! IF YER A BODYGUARD AINT YA SPOSA BE GUARD'N BODIES! LOT GOOD YER PROFESSION DOES YOU UP THERE!" Usually the squid in back was the one who was tasked in maintaining the clientele's personalities and keeping them at tolerable levels but his recovering state left him little strength for this department. A healing hand would have certainly proved useful. Raijin Bay was not long from here now.

Xion walked somewhere in the middle of the group, unaware of Toso's plight. No, really, she just didn't know he would like healing. It didn't cross her mind. She wasn't trying to ignore him or anything.
What she did catch on to, though, was that Shion was really far ahead and Toso's dad was still being obnoxious. Her mind connected... some dots. Who knew if they were the right ones or connected in the right ways. The end result, though, was Xion saying, "Sir, I believe she's doing more good than your mouth has been," to seemingly no one in particular because she didn't look at anyone, but Toso's dad would certainly hear her loud and clear.
A hearty guffaw towards the sky unphased by the maid words the man began his intense rebuttal."HAH HERE IM GETTING SASS FROM THE BLIND ONE! BLOOP! AINT NOBODY FORCED YE TA COME FLATTY ONE! BLOOP! OR FLATTY TWO OR GHOST TATS UP THERE! WE'D BE MIGHT FINE ON ARE OWN. WE CAME TA THE CLOUD ON ER OWN AND WE CAN LEAVE IT JUST AS WELL. BLOOP! The shambling man in the back should have known his loud mouth of a father would be unable to keep his mouth shut. Ebihara whom was still attached to his back stretching it out and around in a upset fashion. Do you ever shut up bluuuuu! seems the tension amidst the silence would increase. Apparently what was said was intended to remain somewhat of a secret based on tbe youths reaction. The squid in the back remained silent. It was evident by his words that they never wanted 'bodyguards' to begin with. If that was the case this meant they themselves weren't the 'true' clients. Toso indeed submitted the request but not on their behalf but his. To prove that the cloud shinobi were compotent protectors and that the cloud despite the ice demons and tales of barbarians that its inhabitants were as safe as any other.
Of course one word stood out among the rest 'using'. Was their squid compatriot using his feminine allies to secure himself in Kumogakure in order to reassure his parents he'd be safe and fine? There was no sugar coating it that was the case. If any of the three came to this realization would they pursue more inform from the shambling Toso or would they all remain in awkward silence until arriving at the bay? If not that, would they suddenly feel a new pressure of 'expectations' weighing on their shoulders. Would the care at all? From the sound of things there was something on the table being wagered. But that would still remain an unknown.
Wait, Xion was blind? Suddenly, a lot of her past behaviors started to click into place. Honestly, Shion was a little embarrassed that she hadn't realized it before... She never was one for detail... Anyway, she didn't have time to dwell on it. She had an uppity squid to deal with. Shion marched her happy a** up to the old man and got real close to his face. "Look here, buddy. Our mission is to get you where you need to go alive," she said, putting extra, extra emphasis on alive. "If you happen to suffer a few bumps and bruises along the way, I still get paid and, at the end of the day, that's all I care about." Shion narrowed her brow and inched all the little bit closer to the old man's face. "Now, if you'd like to get where we're going in one piece, I'd suggest you shut that damn mouth of yours so the people you're insulting can focus on their jobs," Shion threatened, mustering all the bravado and intimidation a 5'2" girl possibly could. Shion really didn't want to get riled up again, but that second comment of his... I mean, what kind of person actively insults their own bodyguards? Really?!? Who!?!
In the back of Unki's mind her thoughts were boiling. She didn't like the verbal abuse barrage Toso's father was dishing out so freely. Unki stopped walking, faced the group, and began to wave her arms. "Stop stop stop! Everybody, hold on!" Unki stomped toward the shirtless squid-man and Shion. Getting anything across to the hardheaded of Hojos, she decided, requires either brute force or a display of confidence even if the guise was false. The girl stopped a ways from wedging herself between them. She straightened her posture, puffed out her chest and took a deep breath as if about to let loose a fierce order. Instead, the girl leaned toward Shion and cupped her mouth with both hands and shrunk her voice to whisper. She cupped her hand around her mouth and leaned close to Shion; "I've had to deal with Mr. Loudmouth too before this. I have an idea. Work with me. Now quick! Look as if I defeated you via verbal command! " Unki cleared her throat before she'd begin to speak and looked up at Toso's father. "In Kumogakure, it is a crime punishable by death to mistreat one's hirelings. Unki's voice was with little variation in tone. She was doing her very best to keep a straight face. Her brief time with the Hojo's have taught her that they seem very serious about following regulations and pressing death threats was either an unusual phrase of expressing endearment or two, a real looming possibility to straighten up those out of line.
She had to keep her expression stale. While it was becoming very hard to not smile, Unki had to hold the neutral expression and look at Shion in hopes to spread the false message as something real. Xion, on other hand, could be harder to convince. For all Unki knew, Xion could have been ready to correct this lie. Toso, however, looked physically out of it. "Please understand that as leader of this task, the last thing I'd want to do cause unncessary injury to come to our Squid visitors." It was becoming very hard not to smile. "At least until we leave the Land of Lightning. Afterwards, feel free to say all the nonsensical insults you want. Deal? Or shall you meet death by the desert sun? The same perilous desert sun your son battled under..." Unki's voice trailed off as she caught sight of Toso still looking off. "Toso? Gimme feedback here. How'er you holdin' up? Yeah? No? Thumbs up? Thumbs down? You took a... a beating back there.

The Hojo rose his fist while the daughter on his back looked mildly frightened at what may come. Frightened because she knew her father would very well start a fist fight right here and right now. A silver ink coming out of his fists pores producing a metallic like coating.
Then the command of Unki shattered the tension while his fist remained steeled his attention derailed and it lowered. When she stated the punishable by death clause the man bit his tongue. The man as before wasn't one to question things he was told without evidence about cultures he didn't know. Immediate execution and exile was a law in their settlement so it was never strange to see the same laws implemented somewhere else. However, the adult female as always remained skeptical. Unki was inviting a can of worms with her alleged 'terms of service' saying that Toso's father would be given free reign out of the borders.
Genuinely surprised the squid son jumped at Unki's inquisitiveness. He had indeed drifted off into his own world but this world was one that was in constant worry of the repercussions of his fathers actions if he did take them. Shiro's words burned into his skull, that if any of his family or villagers were to cause harm to any of these girls that it would spell the end for relations and possibly himself. "Ah, no, no. I'm fine. Bloop. I think I can get back to my old rhythm now. Only winded, yes that was all. bloop. Toso would place his brush back on his back stating he no longer needed it as cane. However far this false confidence brought him he was certainly lying as he was still most profoundly sore. But showing such weakness on his face wasn't a trait he often had. Perhaps there was a reason for why he always carried the same stalwart look.
"TOSO WHEN WE GET HOME YOU AND I NEEDA TALK ABOUT THIS WHOLE SUN BUSINESS BLOOP! IF I FIND OUT YOU LOST TO SOMETHIN LIKE THAT THEN ITS CLEAR YER STAYIN HOME FOR MORE MENTAL TRAININ!" Everything boiled down by the sounds of it to Toso 'staying home' but there was an added tone of maybe 'disappointment' in the fathers voice as he straighten his daughter on his back and continued moving forward with or without the entourage. The wife followed. Now the family was ahead of the pack in greater rush to reach their destination.
However, Toso would invoke the group to gather "Ah here, Before they get too far I should perhaps help you when it comes to handling my family bloop." Toso looking forward would reflect each member of his family in his glasses as he went into detail about them. It seemed his mother was giving his father another talking to. "My father, believes firmly respect is earned not given. He's incredibly competitive, if you damage his pride or beat him at anything he'll usually yield...bloop..my mother she's as happy to help as she is to hurt, don't let her cheerfulness fool you she's a sadist, you saw she had no intention of breaking up the possible fight...and Ebihara...she's a combination of both at their best and worst...Ah, but we should get going now bloop." should their venture continue they would hear no more of the squid families antics...for now. Whether further conversations broke the silence until their arrival at the bay nor not...well that would depend on who wanted to partake in more.
Xion simply stood on standby. She waited quite primly, too. The escalating conflict appeared to not faze her at all as she remained quiet, saying not a word to support or conflict anything that had been mentioned by either side.
She was listening, though. Xion was definitely listening. If she hadn't been, then she would have no doubt already done something that would have completely ruined the proceedings. She was listening to the words exchanged as well as the surroundings of the group. As unreadable and carefree as Xion's smile was, she was focused on her task. For all the personal offense Toso's dad took at the whole stop speaking comment, he was really failing to see the clearly obvious point that Xion was just trying to "see" her surroundings better.
Then again, who was she to tell anyone to stop talking when she asked a question of her own, "Then Curry, what are you?" as she walked after him after their little group meeting, "And please, Morning, could you resume your position at the front? Or did you want to swap positions with Manjuu? It is difficult to escort someone if we're all at the back."? Well, not like Xion cared about her own qualifications to tell someone else to pipe down. She was going to do it anyways if she felt like it.
