Veilstone City is a city in eastern Sinnoh. It is situated near the sea to the north, with Pastoria City to the south. It houses Maylene, the Veilstone City Gym Leader, along with the headquarters for Team Galactic.
Veilstone is carved out of steep and rocky mountains, giving the city rock walls that project a cold atmosphere. It is fairly isolated and has little contact with other cities. Team Galactic also constructed the Galactic Warehouse and their headquarters, the Galactic Veilstone Building there. This city is also home to the Sinnoh region's department store, much like Celadon City in Kanto, Goldenrod City in Johto, and Lilycove City in Hoenn. The Veilstone Game Corner also has slot machines that people can play. Veilstone is famous for its stone, including its meteorites, which can change Deoxys between its many forms.

✿ ❀ Isis had thought her nightmare was over when she was transported back into the Veilstone City Pokemon Center. She had Atona back now and he wasn't torn apart, but he was in pretty bad shape. Ebony was hurt, but Leon had tended well to her wounds. She thought that now, when she was away from that awful Mansion and in a place where her pokemon could get intensive care, she thought that it could do no more harm to her.
How wrong she was.
The first thing Isis did was rush to the counter, pulling out all of her poke balls and handing them quickly to Nurse Joy. "P-please hurry! My pokemon are badly hurt!" Isis begged her."Oh my! Okay dear, don't worry, hold on. Blissey!" The nurse called to her assistant pokemon to help her take Isis' pokemon into the critical care center. Vixen, Vulcan, Ebony, Atona, and Dune had all taken some serious damage, and Isis felt some comfort that they were being taken care of now, but she couldn't sleep when night fell. For some reason, they had returned all of her pokemon but Ebony and Atona, and insisted that Isis remain in the waiting room, which was odd. It left Isis pacing back and forth nervously until the late hours of the night. Not even Zero could convince her to calm down. Something was wrong. There was something they weren't telling her.
Then the news finally came. Altona was recovering slowly thank to a new advanced treatment, but Ebony.... Chills went down Isis' spine, just hearing the words, and she would not believe it until she saw with her own eyes. "No...." She shook her head, wide eyed in disbelief. "You're lying...! She yelled, running past all the doctors and into the emergency room where her beloved friend indeed lay unmoving. "She... She can't be...." Isis couldn't breathe. Pokemon didn't die. It didn't happen, not unless they were old and retired. Ebony was still so young, just recently evolved. Isis hadn't realized since pokemon could normally sustain so much damage, she hadn't realized how much trauma she had put Ebony through. The blonde fell onto Ebony, arms around the Nightrial and sobbed openly. No one dared to touch her or convince her to leave Ebony. One of her closest companions was now dead, the Pokemon who had saved her own life more than a number of times, and yet she had been powerless to return the favor. The girl was allowed to mourn.
It wasn't until after she had eventually cried herself to sleep in the early hours of the morning that Zero took Isis and lay her down in a bed. Isis slept well surprisingly, she was so physically and emotionally exhausted that she fell into a deep sleep, though in the morning she didn't feel much better than the night before. She eventually woke, a sullen mess of tears and tangled hair, finally able to believe the Pokemon's passing, but she was far from accepting it. The pain was still fresh, it would take more than a night to move on. Isis slowly sat up in bed, mind numb and throat sore. Zero sat awake nearby in a chair, looking distressed and as if he hadn't slept a wink last night. "H-hey...." Isis spoke quietly, her voice somewhat hoarse. She stared at the bed below her and a light knock came at the door. That was curious, Isis certainly wasn't expecting visitors right then. "C-come in...?" Isis said, somewhat uncertain. What she saw was a strange white Lucario enter through the door, not only was it white, but it looked different than a normal Lucario would."Ah, so you're awake." Isis' eyes widened, and the Lucario's golden eyes looked at her expectantly. "A-Atona?!" The Lucario gave a slight bow."In the flesh."Isis stood and made her way over to the Lucario, hugging him tightly, but she was still confused. "They told me you were receiving some new advanced treatment. Is that what this is...?" Atona nodded and held out his right paw, which was wrapped with a leather cord and connected to a small round stone; a Mega Stone."The procedure was this; given my severely weakened condition, I was entrusted with this stone for the extra strength I needed to survive, they then ran me through with the medication I needed, but as a side effect, it paled my fur... I'm still fairly weak, but they released me to come see you."He explained. Isis nodded and gently released him, afraid that if she hugged him too hard he might break. Atona chuckled at her thought, but sensed the gloomy aura about her and frowned, glancing hesitantly to Zero. Perhaps it was best they not bring the subject of Ebony up right now."Come, it's two hours till noon, you two should get something to eat."Atona suggested, but Isis only moved back to her bed. "Not hungry..." She mumbled sulkily, and Atona grimaced. She really needed to at least snack on something, her energy was already low, it didn't need to get lower due to self starvation. ✿ ❀

Everything seemed to happen so fast, Zero could barely keep up. Suddenly they were returned to the Veilstone Pokemon Center, through whatever black smoke the Gastly's had used to transport them earlier. Almost immediately Isis dashed for the counter and the nurse and her assistant took her team into the critical care. Then, some hours after arriving and changing clothes, the news was finally brought to Isis, he followed her past the doctors until they reached Ebony, the obsidian dragon lying motionless on the table. He wanted to reach out and try to console Isis, but his body refused to let him raise his arm.
He could only watch in silence until Isis fell asleep in her tears. Zero let her have a few more minutes alone with Ebony while he got them a room, and then carried her to the room, putting her in the bed and sitting down in the chair.
Finally, time seemed to return to it's normal speed, and Zero felt all the physical and mental fatigue just crashed down on him. Every drained and aching fiber of his being wanted to lie down and sleep like Isis, but he kept himself awake. After such an experience, he'd rather not see what kinds of dreams he might have.
After sitting in the chair for many hours, Zero struggled to stay awake. His eyelids felt like lead weights by the time Isis finally awoke. He gave a weary smile and a weak nod when she spoke. "Morning..." His gaze then slowly moved to the door, just as the newly-silver Atona entered. The unfamiliar voice in his head made him jump slightly, startling him enough to wake him up. But regardless, he was quite relieved to see him up and well after all that happened.
Zero groggily rose from his seat as the Lucario as he mentioned the time, his empty stomach growling loudly, grimacing a little as Isis said she wasn't hungry. "Come on Isis," he started, moving over to Isis and picking her up off the bed. "You need too eat you know. Atona, could you get the door for us?"

✿ ❀"Certainly." Atona smiled as he was asked to get the door, turning to open it. Isis blinked in surprise as she was scooped up from her bed. "H-hey!!!" She cried out in protest. "I don't want to eat! I'm not hungry! And besides I need to change at least and get washed up, I'm not going out there in a muddy dirty torn up--" Isis froze and blinked, noticing that she wasn't in her ruined Zelda costume from the ball anymore. However, she could have sworn she recalled falling asleep on Ebony in it.... "Zero.... How did I change out of my Zelda costume...?" She asked quietly. Atona had been making to open the door in silent agreement that Isis needed food, but paused mid reach for the handle upon Isis' sudden relegation. Now this he had to hear. ✿ ❀

"If I put you down, you're just gonna stay in the room and not eat!" Zero replied. "And why am I a pervert? I haven't done anything!" Fortunately Atona finally opened the door, and Zero moved through it, thanking Atona before heading to the cafeteria.
Once they arrived, Zero sat Isis down in one of the open booths nearest to the door. "Okay, I'm going to go get us food. I'll be right back." He said, and headed off sluggishly to get them food. That second wind he'd gotten from hearing Atona was beginning to wear off. After a few minutes, and a few trips, Zero got both him, Isis, and all their pokemon some food, letting all his out to eat. Though, he was too tired to compute the sudden replacement of his charmeleon with a charizard.
Once they'd all had their food though, Zero finally sat down as well, sitting across from Isis. "I don't know if it's your favorite," he began, motioning to the food he'd laid out in front of her. "But it's what you normally get."

Zero smiled as Isis began to take a bite, feeling rather relieved that he could get her to eat. "Hm..." He thought for a moment, collecting more of the eggs for Isis to nibble on. "Well, first I need to stop by Andreas' place before we leave. That way we can return the costumes. After that..." He looked over his team.
