Happy and comfortable with her life on Telrunya and causing mayhem helping Pae fall in love, the Goddess of Love has decided that this year she will throw a grand party to celebrate her special day.

She will be welcoming her lovely Graces -- Aglaia, Goddess of beauty; Euphrosyne, Goddess of Mirth; and Thalia, Goddess of Celebrations -- to Telrunya with a grand party. All of the lovelorn and lonely Pae'il are invited!

And what's a Valentine's Day party at the Goddess of Love's home without the mischievous Erotes?

Meet Venus' crew. Her sons and Eros' baggageEx-wife.

Mischievious God of Love, and Venus' first son, the apple of her eye.
Power: his golden arrows are coated in special love potion that will cause a pae'il to fall in love with the first one they see after being pricked by an arrow. This effect can only be cured by Anteros, otherwise it is a permanant love.



Anteros was created to give young Eros a playmate. He lives in his brother's shadow; never measuring up to how great Eros is in his mother's eyes.
Power: his lead arrows can cause a pae'il to fall in love, just as Eros' arrows, however Anteros is the Avenger of Scorned love, and God of Requited Love, so he will not just shoot a pae and skip off merrily to wreck the next relationship. He will make sure the love is mutual, even if he has to bust kneecaps.
His golden mace is the remedy to all of his other brothers' arrows. One bonk and the pae'il will no longer be under the effect of a love, lust, or a longing arrow.
He also carries a shield made of a special metal that is the only substance on the island that Eros, Himeros, Pothos, Hedylogos and Hermaphroditus' arrows cannot penetrate.


Lecherous and very popular with the ladies.
Power: Himeros' golden arrows will cause pae to feel lust for the first pae'il they see after being pricked. They will have strong sexual desires that are not able to resist.
NOTE: any pae under the influence of one of his arrows will NOT rape another. It will be like Pepe le Pew, and he just simple won't give up until that lust and desire is sated.



Wistful and lonely, Pothos is cursed to never find true happiness with love.
Power: Pothos' golden arrows will create in a Pae'il a feeling of longing, of yearning for the first Pae they see. This is not love they feel, but an intense infatuation; a crush, but on a pae they cannot ever have.
His arrows are a curse, because the pae that is yearned for will never return the love, unless Anteros bonks the effected Pae'il.


Once a handsome young man, Hermaphroditus was transformed into an androgynous god when he merged with a nymph. (the greek kind, not the pae kind.) Hermaphroditus looks like a female, but is a male. On Telrunya, he has donned the named Iordanes.
Power: Hermaphroditus' golden arrows are dipped in the cursed waters that he created, and will cause a pae'il to change gender temporarily if pricked.



Hedylogos just wants all Pae'il to feel good! He is the only Erote that is not one of Venus' natural born sons. He was found in her garden one afternoon, and she adopted him and made him one of her Erotes.
Power: Hedylogos' golden arrows will create in a Pae'il super confidence and wit. He can make any Pae'il a sweet-talker and master of flattery! The effect of his arrows are temporary, and he assumes no responsibility if the pae's sweet-talking gets them slapped.



God of the Wedding Hymn and Ceremony, Hedylogos is also considered a muse of music.
Power: Hymnaios' golden arrows will cause Pae'il to propose to the first Pae they see.
He also must be present at all Weddings, to sing the Wedding Hymn in order to bless the union. It is superstition that if he is not there, the marriage will not last.



Psyche isn't part of Venus' Retinue, much to her delight. But she is married to Eros, so she is Venus' daughter-in-law, much to Venus' chagrin. Psyche and Eros have a beautiful and inspiring love story!
UPDATE: Sadly, that love story has come to an end. Last year, due to some interference by a mysterious Paery Movich, it was found that Psyche cheated on her beloved husband with a mortal Pae'il named Christopher. Eros has since returned to his mother, requesting separation from his wife.
Power: Soul Animate: "The Soul can animate all things." Psyche can create little butterflies using small bits of her own soul, and use these butterflies to give a 'soul' to inanimate objects, bringing them to life.
(she is unrelated to this event, but was included for the simple reason that she is Eros' wife.

This is a breeding event, in which 5 pairs of Pae'il will hook up under the influence of the Erotes and have their experience during the party become canon (real for RP storylines) and the resulting hook-up creates a pair of baby pae'il.

Following the reveal of the babies, we'll have a "Guess the Babydaddy" game where the grand prize will be the chance to own one of the Graces.

1. Pick up to Five (5) Pae'il that you would like to participate.
   ** Qualifications are listed under the Rules post.
   
2. For EACH Pae'il, post and generate a random number between 1 and 7
   
3. Approximately one week following Valentine's day, we will post the toddlers, but not announce the parents.
   
4. There will be 3 days to submit forms to guess the parents
   
5. Each correct guess will equal one ticket in a raffle to win a Grace. The more correct guesses, the better the chances of winning.
   
6. You can only win a maximum of 2 babies from this event. If a third pae was randomly selected, only the owner of the other pae will receive a baby.
   

Erotes that are loose:

1. Eros - He will make your Pae fall in love with the first Pae they see.
   
2. Himeros - He will make your Pae lust after the first pae they see.
   
3. Hedylogos - He will make your Pae become a slick, smooth talker with a winsome smile which other pae will find hard to resist.
   
4. Anteros - He will not only have your Pae fall in love, but he will actually place the other pae right there in front of them and hit the other one as well, so both pae will fall in love. He will need to see some hand holding before he shoots those arrows off.
   
5. Pothos - He will make your pae wistful and long for the first pae they see. Any Pae'il unfortunate to roll this Erote may not be lucky enough to hook up. (The only way a Pae who rolls Pothos to get a baby is if when the staff do the random pairings, the partner rolls Anteros.)
   
6. Iordanes (Hermaphroditus) - He will not only shoot your pae with a love arrow like Eros, but the arrow will cause that pae to change gender for the duration of the party!
   
7. Hymnaios - Uh oh. Any Pae shot by him will MARRY the first pae they see. And if the other Pae is affected by a love arrow, they will hardly say no. (Yes, it will be cannon that your pae had a Vegas!style wedding and got married if he or she rolls Hymnaios.)

There are a lot of Rules for this event, but they are important so that we can make sure the event stays fair and fun for everyone. Don't let how wordy they are scare you. wink

Pae'il Qualifications

1. Only ADULT Pae'il may participate.
   
2. Must not have ever bred before.
   
3. Must not be in a long-term committed relationship.
   

Rules:

1. The Erotes are known for being trouble makers and breaking up happy families with their love arrows. So use CAUTION when deciding which pae to enter. Your pae having a baby with another pae WILL effect current relationships. If you don't want to ruin any relationships, I recommend not entering that particular pae.
   
2. On Telrunya, love is love. Pae'il don't recognize 'straight' or 'gay' they merely follow their heart. So its entirely possible same-gender pairings will happen.
   
3. Winning pae cannot pretend the Pae just fell out of the sky. It has 2 biological parents, so that should be incorporated into the RP of that pae.
   
4. Sore winners will forfeit their winning pae to the shop, for us to give to another, more appreciative player. I will no longer tolerate people whining about winning, just because its not exactly what they wanted, or they don't like the pairing. You are under no obligation to RP with the babydaddy owner, but you are not allowed to pretend the other pae is not the biological parent. No godmodding with this either, and claiming a "deadbeat dad" or "absentee parent". You cannot defame anyone else's pae, regardless if you get along with the player or not. Remember the Daisy Code.
   
5. There will be 5 winning pairs, chosen randomly via rolling in the staff lounge. It will be kept secret due to the nature of the guessing game.
   
6. We will not reveal either parent until after 3 days and all entries are received.
   
7. You are not 'stuck' in a relationship with the babydaddy, if you don't want to be. Its up to the owners of the Pae to decide if they want to RP a relationship. IT IS NOT REQUIRED THAT YOU RP WITH THE BABYDADDY, but it is required that your Pae recognize that the baby does have another parent.

• 3 of the babies have an Erote for a babydaddy, so you must guess the Erote+babymomma
  
• Guessing is open until 11:59pm MST February 23rd. Winners will be announced sometime on the 24th, when the entirety of the staff is online. (Usually late evening)
  
• Everyone is welcome to submit guesses, even if you don't own a pae or didn't participate in this event.
  
• For each right guess, you receive a "ticket" for the raffle for the third Grace. This drawing will be done after the RP contest is judged.
  
• We will reveal the parents in a story format releasing what exactly happened the night of February 14th in Venus' home.

We will chose 5 pairs, so there will be 10 new 2nd (or 3rd or 4th, etc) pae'il on the island.

There is no RP required for the breeding event, however, aftermath RP for the winners might possibly see some special perks. wink

There will be an additional contest, starting on February 7th which will conclude on the 14th. It is an RP contest which there will be two winners, each receiving one of the Graces. More information on this contest will be available later.

There also might be a few little babies needing homes, depending on participation.

Anatolio had never been to a land-party before! Also, the invitation was pretty and smelled nice, even underwater, and he'd thought it would make a nice respite from the training with Sadron and the crazed Itsaso.

His mother had cryptically warned him against drinking the punch, but wouldn't say why.

Jeanette Isabella is excited about such a party! Mother's father Iordanes seemed less than pleased at the notion of her attending, but Jeanette Isabella mostly shrugged off the advice of her elders anyway. What was life for, if not exploring, making mistakes, and having a bit of fun along the way?

She marvels at her surroundings. It's all so beautiful! She wonders why, if he'd been so uneasy at the thought of her going, that Iordanes himself was in attendance. Oh well. She'd ask him later.

A party, hmm? Kalibang is skeptical, but supposes he hasn't been outside in quite a while. He arrives at the party, rolling pin at his side, and promptly checks out the food table. It seems no expense had been spared--he could respect that. Whoever their host was certainly knew how to cater an event!

Abeta had been rather nettled lately, as her favorite season is coming to a close. She always got uncomfortable as springtime approached. Too warm and sticky, too many smells in the air. It clashed with her own cedar-scented skin, which she liked just fine. But she supposed she could go out for one last holiday party before she had to give up winter altogether. Upon arriving, Abeta promptly begins to hold up a wall. Social gatherings aren't really her thing, especially when she doesn't know anyone. With luck, she'd meet another shy person, and they'd spend the evening smiling quietly at each other from across the room.

Namaqua had never seen the point in the meaningless celebration of Valentine's Day. But he'd been cooped up in Laisidhiel for so long with that storm, he felt somewhat obligated to attend this party. Especially if soon he'd be busy. Besides, he'd told himself, perhaps some of the lost acorns had been swept up here.

And perhaps he'd meet a nice-looking young man. But he wouldn't get his hopes up.

Ah, yes. This chaotic bit of nonsense again. The time of year Mother always called everyone together to make mayhem for the poor denizens of the Island all in the name of "love". Sometimes he wonders what anyone really knew of the term.

Still, she expected him to be here, and he knew how vengeful she could be. And he had loved ones now, who he'd rather not Venus get her eye on. Especially after that rather nasty business last year...

And despite his efforts to keep his adopted family and his blood-family separate, somehow Jeanette Isabella had wound up here. Iordanes mentally sighs. He'd try to keep her out of trouble, but he's sure if he warned his brothers not to meddle with her, they'd do so out of contrariness. Especially Himeros. Zeus knew Jeanette Isabella needed nothing to do with Himeros.

For now, Iordanes contents himself with watching party guests show up. He does consider himself lucky; at least if he decided to meddle with the affairs of Telrunyans, his arrows might at least make an incompatible match work.

Talil blinked, she'd never even heard of a party for pae much less seen one. Why were only adults invited? She shrugged, it didn't matter too much, she was just happy that she got the chance to get out of the library her sister kept cooped up in. Why on earth would one want to celebrate giving chocolates to another person? It seemed so dull... Or maybe that was just because she was reading too many books again. She shook her head, red curls not making much movement on her head.. Exactly like her father's did..
