The moment that Kent had revealed the photograph of Suicune, Freddy had pounced. "Suicune? One of the Legendary Dogs of Johto? Rumour has it they were reincarnated by the Legendary Bird Ho-Oh after the tower they lived in burned to the ground. The amount of theories on their forms before death is greatly studied" Freddy said, asking to take a closer look at the photograph, he pulled out his pair of thick rimmed glasses to study the photo greatly. It was indeed a blur. Due to the speed, he couldn't tell if it was truly running upon water, but Kent seemed enamoured at the possibility.
Freddy had been looking at the photo in such depth, he failed to realise he and his new travelling companions had arrived in Hau'Oli City. Handing the photo back to Kent, he cleared his throat. "This is Hau'Oli City. The biggest city on the island. I guess this is where you guys flew or sailed in from so you probably know that already?" He chuckled and scratched the side of his head. His new friends weren't local so Alolan hospitality endeavoured Freddy to show them around as much as he could. "The Pokemon Centre is just up here. We can stop off there. Grab a Komala Coffee. I need to check out something on the Sotrage System. It's just over here.." he explained, wandering down the road.

Kent flexed an arm and smiled when Hayes asked how he even made it across the whirlpools in the Whirl Islands. The photographer was actually caught off guard when Freddy suddenly started listing information about some of the Legendary Pokemon lore of Johto. "You know your stuff. Yup, that Suicune." He said with a grin.
He had been so absorbed with showing his new friends his pictures that he hadn't even noticed they had wandered right into the city. Kent pocked the photos when Freddy introduced them to Hau'oli City. He had seen part of the city when he had first arrived by ferry, but had immediately went east to see the professor. Freddy pointed out the Pokemon Center and Kent quickly walked into the air-conditioned building. He had been traveling the world for the last few years, but it would take some time getting used to the Alolan heat. The sleeves certainly weren't helping.
Once inside the Center he noticed a small cafe in the corner to it, and after looking over the menu above, ordered one Lemonade. The man took his money and went on an exceedingly long rant about the sweet and refreshing drink before handing him the beverage and a small colorful bean. He claimed it was a unique Pokemon treat native to Alola. "You don't say..." Kent remarked. He reached down at his belt and released his Pikachu onto the ground, who quickly climbed up onto his shoulder and began chewing the bean he was holding up for him. Once Pikachu was situated on his shoulder, he opened the lid on his own snack and took a deep chug. "Phew! That hits the spot, huh bud?" He asked his partner Pokemon as he walked back over towards his friends. "Chu!" Flash chimed back.

Although he'd already known a little bit about Hau'oli City, it being where he'd come in on the boat, Hayes appreciated the run down on it - it wasn't like he'd known it was the biggest city on the island, after all. It had been in Hau'oli where he'd dropped into the Pokemon Center and let them have one of the Pokemon he'd had for the longest so it could have a rest, so when Freddy pointed it out he went inside along with Kent, letting their local friend do whatever it was he was doing outside.
As soon as he stepped inside, he headed to the front desk and waited for an attendant of some sort to appear, Pokemon or otherwise. It didn't take long for Nurse Joy herself to come out and recognize him, and then head back inside to get the Pokemon he'd left here earlier. While Hayes stood around waiting for her to return, he noticed Kent in the corner of the room apparently being served by someone... or being given a lecture on something, judging by the amount of talking? In either case, he walked over in order to check it out because there hadn't been anyone there when he'd been in before.

Freddy was about read to follow his friends over to the Hau'Oli Pokemon Centre when his attention was drawn away and towards the beach as a loud "Poooooke~" was emitted, like a dull air raid siren. Freddy called out to his new friends "I'll catch up to you guys. Think I just recognised someone on the beach" Freddy shouted out, before breaking into a run towards the beach.
"Yo Yo Yo. Come on over Slowpoke, don't be afraid." One spat. "Yo Yo Yo. Come on over Slowpoke, we just want to play" Two attempted. One shot an expectant stare at Two, causing them to reply "Played" Freddy stepped onto the sand at seemingly the right time. "Only one team could attempt rhymes with such bad grammar! I didn't realise Team Skull was still active after all these years!" Freddy shouted out to them. The two Team Skull Grunts spun around to face Freddy. They were facing down a Slowpoke, pushing it into the corner. Who knew what dastardly deeds they were up to?They squared up to Freddy in their usually choreographed style. "Hey Hey Hey. Why you gotta disrespect our rhymes like that man?" One asked. "Team Skull has never been stronger!" Two said, pushing aside One "...Man!"

Freddy held back his laugh, as bad as their attempts at rhyming might have been, it was improper to laugh at them. They were at least trying. His time at Blackthorn Preparatory School had at least taught him some manners. Point out the problem, but do not laugh. "Are you going to tell me what you're doing to that poor Slowpoke?" Freddy asked, pointing at the cowering Slowpoke behind the Skull Duo. "Yo Yo Yo. Boss sent us on a quest" "Yo. To prove we weren't a pest!" "To bring back this Slowpoke's Tail" "Prove we do more than fail!" The two of them down low high fived each other, Freddy couldn't help but be impressed. They got their point across using a basic rhyming scheme. It was likely a good thing he didn't laugh, he could only imagine how they would have stumbled across that. "I can't let you do that. It's cruel!" Freddy exclaimed, to which they shook their heads at. "Hey man don't be whack! Slowpoke tails always grow back!" One rhymed.

Freddy sighed. He took off his glasses and placed them safely back into the front pocket of his shirt. Taking Cecil and Owliver's Pokeball's from his shorts, he looked up at One and Two. "Then I guess there is only one way to settle this then?" he declared. One and Two's faces lit up. "If that's the way its got to be" "Don't blame us if the battle makes you...pee" they rhymed. The short moment of silence was followed by the two parties throwing their Pokeballs into the air. Freddy releasing his Girfarig Cecil and Rowlet Owliver into battle. One and Two released their Zubat and Salandit. Freddy was ready. He had trained with rented Pokemon back in Blackthorn, even dabbling in some double battles.
It was his first battle using Owliver, he made sure that it wasn't left to fend for itself against the Salandit, a fire and poison type. Owliver focused mainly on tackling attacks if the opponents got to close to Cecil who was throwing Confusion attacks wherever they could. The battle was fierce but soon enough Freddy won the day. One and Two returned their fainted Pokemon to their Pokeballs and stamped their feet on the ground. Freddy stood out of breath with his Pokemon, staring them down. Owliver perched on Cecil's head, wings spread. "Don't think we'll forget this in a hurry!" "Next time you see us, you better worry!" they rhymed as per usual. "I'll be ready and waiting!" Freddy said. Then with that, they dispersed with no Slowpoke Tail. Once out of sight, Freddy let out a sigh of relief and fell to the ground, along with his Pokemon. "Not too bad for our first battle together huh guys?" Freddy sighed, his Pokemon leaning against him. Looking down, he saw the Slowpoke had joined them, his head resting on Freddy's leg. "You okay Slowpoke? That was a close one" Freddy asked, to which it replied with a long drawn out yes based response. It huddled closer to Cecil and Owliver which made Freddy question "Are you wanting to join up with us Slowpoke?" to which it nodded.
Freddy jumped up from the sand, holding Slowpoke up under its arms. "Well that's great. What do you say guys? You want to welcome-" he paused for a second and looked at Slowpoke "-Archie to the team?" they both nodded and cheered in their various Pokemon based cries. "Super! Welcome to the team Archie!" Freddy said.

Kent stood there next to the cafe drinking his lemonade, with his Pikachu on his shoulder and his new friend Hayes ordering something as well. It had been a pretty eventful day already. As he waited for Freddy to turn up Kent pulled up his camera and started going through the photos he had taken that day. All the photos were relatively basic, scenery and maybe a few Pokemon throughout. One picture caught his attention though. He recognized it as one he took when he had climbed Exeggutor. It was a photo of Route 1, and in the corner there was a very large red blur. "What the..." Kent mumbled to himself as he kept staring at this weird shape.
Kent's attention was pulled away when two people burst into the Pokemon Center, wearing strange back clothes and dyed hair. "Yo yo yo that dude was no joke!" Said the girl with dyed pink hair. "No kidding, we just wanted that 'Poke!" The guy with the blue hair responded. They looked at each other excitedly for a moment, as if the guy successfully rhyming was a huge accomplishment. While high-fiving and posing they noticed the shiny Pikachu and began murmuring to themselves. A moment later they noticed the buff man the Pikachu was standing on and quickly reconsidered. "Alola sure is different. Say, where are you from Hayes?" He asked, curious about his new travel companions.

Hayes sipped the drink he'd been served by the over-enthusiastic person behind the counter and rolled the beans he'd been given around in his other hand, having been assured they were a favorite of Pokemon in the region. He was also keeping an eye on the front desk for Nurse Joy to come back, and that's when a pair of trainers (supposedly) burst into the Pokemon Center, looking as slick as only a punk could and reminding him of home a bit.
"Oh, huh?" Hayes said, looking away from the pair of quibbling grunts when he heard him speak. "Sorry. I'm from Kanto or Kalos, depending on how you want to look at it... born in Kalos, and lived in Kanto while growing up until I moved back..." He explained, drifting off a bit as he looked back in the direction of the two Skull Grunts who appeared to be arguing about something when he noticed Joy walking out from the back. "but hold that thought, Kent. I need to talk to Nurse Joy." He'd already finished off the drink and had laid it back on the counter, and walked on over to the front desk where she'd stopped and was in the middle of talking to the couple who'd burst inside a few minutes ago.
"...but Joy! You gotta help us!" One of the two pleaded, waving his arms around theatrically to emphasize. "Don't make us kick up a fuss!" The second one added, also waving her arms around, but kicking the air in demonstration as well.
As soon as Hayes approached, Nurse Joy turned her head in his direction and held out a hand with a Pokeball, smiling while the couple were left flabbergasted at being ignored. "Ah, thanks." Hayes smiled as he took the ball back, glad to have Goomy at his side again when he noticed the pair of punks still staring at them. "I, uh, didn't interrupt you, did I?" Hayes asked, catching the pair off guard with his apparent concern, although it didn't last.
"Yo yo, you definitely did, yo!" The pink-haired girl answered after a moment, stepping closer as she did. "Only we can cut in line, boy...o...!" Her blue-haired companion added as he followed her lead.
"Oh, that's enough." A voice interrupted, and all three of them turned to see Nurse Joy looking exasperated. "I already told you I'd help, I just needed to give someone back their Pokemon - him. Now let him go or I'll change my mind." She continued, and the two punks looked as caught off guard as before.
It looked like she'd arranged for him to get away, although he would've liked to stay and talk with the two of them if he could've... but it didn't look like Nurse Joy wanted it to get any rowdier inside the building. Instead, because it looked like Kent was also ready to leave, the two of them headed outside and would hopefully find Freddy around nearby.

Freddy sat in the sand for a moment, looking out at the rest of the beach. Whilst he battled Team Skull, he had managed to create a small buzz, generating a small crowd to watch it unfold. Now it had ended, they had no interest in watching a young man lay about the beach with his Pokemon. After a moment, Freddy jolted upright and remembered he had left his new friends Kent and Hayes at the Pokemon Centre. "Guys, we need to scram. I forgot all about Hayes and Kent!" Freddy cried, scrambling for the steps up to the street. His Pokemon got up and followed, at least it appeared that Slowpoke was.
After running back to pick up Slowpoke, Freddy ran down the street towards the Pokemon Centre, holding Slowpoke under it's arms. Just as it came into view, he saw both Kent and Hayes leave the Centre through the automatic doors. "Hey hey! Oooii~" he yelled out, struggling to wave and hold up Archie the Slowpoke at the same time. He slowed on his approach and in between long drawn out breaths he told them."Sorry. Team Skull. Hurting Slowpoke. Can't run. In flip flops"

Kent put a hand to his chin and nodded as Hayes explained that he was originally from Kalos but spent some time in Kanto, all the while staring at the couple with dyed hair rhyming and making a scene. Before he could say anything in response, Hayes said he had to talk to Nurse Joy. Kent stood where he was, sipping his lemonade as he watched the whole scene unfurl. After getting his Pokemon, the two kids started making a scene until Nurse Joy yelled at them to stop. Kent chuckled at this and followed Hayes outside.
"Kalos and Kanto, huh? You know I just recently got back from a trip to Kalos. That Lumiose City is incredible." Kent remarked as Freddy jogged up to them, speaking between breaths with a Slowpoke under his arm.
"Team Skull? Is that why those kids were dressed like that?" Kent asked, before looking at Freddy's shoes and then back to his own. "Hard to run in, but definitely more comfortable, haha." He added, already feeling the Alolan heat again.

Adder was pretty sure the pokecenter wasn't too far away, and hurried so that he could get his pokemon healed. Once they were good, though, he decided it wouldn't hurt to drag his feet a little on the way back. Well, no... not drag his feat. Just... train on the way back. He stocked up again on pokeballs and potions, then maneuvered along the side of the road, telling his pokemon to go into the gaited areas where the grass was taller. He, meanwhile... stood by the gait, trying not to pull a U-level frown as he held the meowth, who, now fully healed, was practically purring in his arms. He had a feeling it was mostly due to the fact that he wasn't carrying any of his other pokemon....

Adder begrudgingly adjusted the meowth in his arms so he could pet her, but kept an eye on his group. His eye twitched when he noticed a grimer slugging it's way towards them, and he could suddenly feel the weight of the pokeballs on his person. He couldn't... get them, though. Not with this pokemon in his arms. He started trying to adjust her, shooting her an annoyed look as she sunk her claws into his sleeve, and gave him a stare in return. His eye twitched again-- and by the time he looked up, it was defeated, and fleeing. At least his pokemon were getting through them much faster....

That being said, he still wanted to go back to Route 1, where there were more kinds of pokemon to be found. He was pretty sure his pokemon were going to still struggle some, but... well, Pan and Litten seemed to be taking care of themselves pretty well, so he could probably have them cover things. Still, though... Popplio and, heck, even his new pokemon, would need more training. Hopefully he was able to do that and work on his pokedex, as well as keep.... 'happiness'ing the meowth in his arms. He called over to his pokemon to urge them to follow him back to Route 1, but not before stopping, and giving Popplio one hell of a stare when a Wingull appeared in their way. She glared back, practically blowing steam when she caught on, but turned, smacking at it. At least it was another water type...

"Oh, no way?" Hayes asked after he'd heard Kent had been to Kalos, and more specifically, Lumiose City. "Yeah, it's a nice place. Although it's a lot different than..." He paused and motioned with an arm around them at Hau'oli City. "...here." He finished, just in time for Freddy to come into view carrying a Slowpoke; a Pokemon he was familiar with.
"Oh, it couldn't be them, though." Hayes said as soon as Kent had wondered aloud about the pair inside the Pokemon Center. "I mean, maybe they had a bit of a skull look and were a team, but... they were harmless?" He added, although he wasn't as confident about it when he'd actually thought about it. At any rate, he nodded about the fact that flip flops would be hard to run in and that they were comfortable, looking down at his own shoes at the mention of footwear. He wasn't uncomfortably warm, with the sleeves of his shirt rolled up, but otherwise he wasn't dressed for the weather, with his shoes and actual trousers.
"A pair of them wouldn't be bad, actually, with all the beaches it's looking like are around here..." Hayes said, although he was mostly thinking aloud to himself than mentioning it to the others.
