Moons have passed since the time of the great Firestar and his kin. Its been so long that cats can't even remember who Firestar's current kin are...if he has any left that is. The clan cats have lived in peace for seasons upon seasons. Indeed its been so peaceful for so long that the Elders can't even recall the last great battle that took place between the warrior clans. Of course the normal border fights broke out every now and then but that's pretty much been it. All the stories of great battles are nothing but stories now, they go all the way back to Firestar's time which was a very long time ago. But of course peace can't last forever. The powers of The Dark Forest have been working up over the past few moons. Tigerstar and some of the other residents of The Place of No Stars have been setting their eyes on the next generation of warriors. They've been stalking the darkest parts of the forest, waiting for the right moments to whisper their manipulative words into the ears of the young warriors of the clans. StarClan has taken notice of this and decided to send a message to the clan cats just as great sickness broke out among the clans. Their message was sent to the medicine cats but none of them were able to figure out what it meant. So they went to the leaders but still no cat knows for sure what the strange words mean. All they have to go off of are the words of StarClan, when the stars fall a shadow shall be cast and the kindling flame shall seep red...

Now that the clans are being weakened by sickness the forces of darkness are growing, Tigerstar has begun recruiting young cats into his wicked plot while StarClan is trapped watching and waiting to see what the future holds for the clan cats...
