• Beth sat out on her front porch step looking out at the street as the street lamps came on, "Great....here ends another boaring day," she sighed.

Beth's father opens the door behind her and walks out and sits down next to her. He looks over at her with a bit of concern on his normally blank face. "Beth are you alright?"

"I'm just really board dad," she sighed again looking up at the sky, "Nothing seems to be fun anymore....."

"Why don't you make your own fun then, instead of waiting for something fun to come along? Incidently, we have some new neighbors that I would like you to go and say hi to. They seem like the types you would like." He watched his daughter closely, hoping that she would cheer up.

She looked over at her dad, "The last time you were this happy about neighbors was a few years ago," she laughed standing up, "Sure...I'll go say hi." She waved at her dad and walked down the sidewalk to the neighbors.

The new neighbors that Beth's father had sent her to meet were currently moving into the large house at the end of the road, several houses away from hers. Several cars, expensive looking cars, were parked in the driveway and a large moving van was out on the curb in front. There were four of them, two very young looking parents, a boy, and a girl. The boy turned when he heard Beth approching, and froze in mid motion once his eyes caught sight of her.

She sighed a little and looked at the cars as she stopped in the middle of the driveway, "O.O wow....." she said looking at one of them, "These things don't go with the boaring town....."

Before Beth had taken notice, one of the family members was walking torwards her with a small smile on her face. She was short, had brown hair with blonde highlights, and was wearing a pair of darkly tinted oakley sunglasses. When she was close enough, she spoke her greetings with a bell-like voice. "Hi there, like the cars?"

Beth popped her head up and stepped back, "O.o...oh....um...hi" she stammered putting her hand on the back of her head, "Sorry....and yes...they are nice....I'm Beth Stienhill......i live down the street...."

The girl smiled and held out her pale, slender hand. "Hello Beth, I'm Felicity Lenstarrk. Do you live in that blue and steel colored house? I think I saw you sitting on its porch when we arrived. I don't think you noticed though, you seemed to be staring at the sky." She laughed softly to herself, her hand still extended.

She shook her hand, "Um.....ya....I didn't here you'll drive by," she said putting her hands into her pockets then looked around, "Need any help with moving it?"

Felicity looked back at the movers, who seemed to be having a bit of trouble moving a marble statue, and then shook her head. "Nah, unless you can lift a large statue of Hermes I think we're ok. Would you like to meet the rest of the family though?" She looked back at Beth through her sunglasses.

She looked towards the movers and was about to say something about helping, but looked back at Felicity, "Sure......I'd love ta..." she said smilling.

Felicity smiled and took Beth's hand, pulling her torwards the rest of the family. The suprising thing was how strong she was, but Beth would only have a second to think about it before Felicity's parents were smiling at them. Her father, a tall and sophisticated looking man, was the first to speak. "Hello there, nice to see someone decided to say hello." He held out his hand to her. He was also wearing tinted glasses, but his were reading glasses. "I'm Hector Lenstarrk, and this is my wife Elizabeth." He gestured slightly to his wife, who was also smiling.

She shook his hand and gave a small bow to him, "I'm Beth Stienhill it's nice to meet you....." Beth said then giving another small bow to his wife.

Elizabeth gave a small bow back, but her smile faltered smiled as she looked around. "Jace? Jace where are-" She was half-way through her sentence when Jace came around a corner and walked quickly torwards them. Even from the back of his tinted shades it could be seen that his stare was locked on Beth, his walk looking of apprehension to get closer. "Hey..."

Beth looked over towards Jace as she tilted her head alittle, "Hello?" she said unsure of herself as she stepped closer to him, "You see fimilar...." She stopped 3 feet in front of him looking him over then gave a small smile followed by a bow, "I'm Beth Stienhill and you must be Jace"

Jace was taken aback. Surely she could not have forgotten him in just a year? He sighed lightly and bowed back. "Jace Lenstarrk, charmed..."

Beth looked up at him then gave an evil little smile, she ran forward tackling Jace to the ground and pined him, "Well well well," she giggled looking at him, "Look who finally desided to come back to Dredstone..."

Jace's eyes widened as he went down and immediately her smell hit his nose like an iron-clad punch. Blood, fresh warm human blood coursing through her... Jace forced a smile as best he could and hugged her softly. "Hey Beth, nice to see your bear-trap memory is still good."

She hugged him back laughing then stood up, pulling him up aswell, "Nice to see that you are still slow on dodging me," she laughed, "What brings you back Jace?"

"My new family wanted to move me out here, as a trust thing. You know how foster families are." He looked over at the other three for a moment, then back to Beth. "How have things been going since I left?"

"I understand the whole foster thing....how i met you...." she smiled again and pulled her hair back off her neck, "Been pretty boaring around here since you left....only thing good was i beat up the caption of the cheerleading squad and......" she stopped then she turned looking over at his parents then back at him, "You remember how i get when i get mad.....lets just say a teacher had to get a new car and some squirls got one....."

Jace chuckled lightly and muttered something about cheerleaders, looking at Felicity. Felicity frowned a bit, clearly being the cheering type. Jace looked back at Beth and smiled a bit. "I always knew you would, I just wish I could have seen it."

"The school caught it on security tapes......some put them on You-tube....seach "Car Toss"" she sighed looking at the ground feeling emberessed and blushed, "Well....um....i should be getting home...."

Jace frowned a bit and sighed. "That sucks, but its getting late anyway. I guess I'll see you around then?"

She looked up at him still blushing, "Ya....I still live in the same old house," she sighed turning and bowing to the others, "It's was a pleaser to meet you and I'm glad you brought Jace back here." Beth stood up and ran off quickly back towards her house leaving a necklace with a cresent moon and star charm on it on the ground.

Jace looks after her for a moment, and then pulls off his sunglasses to reveal blood-red eyes. The other three did the same, Hector sighing. "Jace, you should have told us-" "I know, I tried but Felicity wouldn't shut up." Felicity opened her mouth to retort, but Jace was already gone.

Beth stopped on her front porch panting as she fell into the porch swing, "Wow....haven't run that fast since Ray tried to shoot me with a paint ball gun," she panted swinging a little, "I'll just sleep out here tonight..." She yawned and driffed off to sleep still swinging on the front porch swing.
