• Chapter 22 - Tetsuya
Alyss in Wonderland: 'Off with his head!'

I ran away. I couldn't stand to see her kissing another person. It hurt. So I kept running. It felt like Alyss had yelled to me, but I couldn't turn back. I was already tearing. The sun had risen, and I felt trapped. Alyss couldn't be cheating on me. For she hadn't even known the truth. I momentarily closed my eyes, and stumbled at a corner. Looking both ways, no one was at either side. So I continued to the front desk. "M-May... I use..." I stuttered. "The phone?" I nodded. The lady at the counter directed me to the workroom where the phone for visitors was located. I dialed Alyss' home number first. What did Sara do now..?! I thought bitterly. She has always been getting into trouble but was always happy. Most of the time anyways. But she had gotten kicked out of her house. "Hello?" A gentle, soft voice came through. It sounded as though she was crying. "Hello? Er.. Mrs. Morano..?" I blinked several times as though she could see me. "Oh.. Tetsuya.." The voice was part gentle and happy yet sad and mournful. "Sara..?" "Oh.. Sara.. she took off with my cell phone. Saying something important.." The tone of hanging-up rang in my ears again. I bit my lip. I placed the phone down and thanked the lady at the front. I took a seat in front of the door. "What the..?" There was blood on my finger. I reached for a tissue the wipe it off. Then I realized my lip was bleeding from biting it. I sighed and put the tissue over my mouth. I occasionally checked to see the flow. It stopped after a few minutes. I checked the clock, and sulked my head into my thought position. I felt a tap on my shoulder. "Tetsuya..? Wanna tell me what happened?" I looked up to see a grinning Sara, soaked with water. "I thought it was su-" "No, its raining. Now tell me..!" She seemed to anticipate it so much, I decided to show her then tell her. "Follow me.." She nodded and followed me to the cafeteria.
    *~*~*~*
I pointed at Alyss. "She's alone." Sara whispered. "So what?" I shook my head and pointed to the boy who was with her. "Oh wow..! He's... He's you, Tetsuya!" "What?" I whispered. "He looks exactly like you. Without the earring." She observed the boy more. "Brown highlights.." She glanced at me. "Black hair under..." Glance again.. " Blue eyes..?" Sara shook her head. "It looks like you a lot!" She exclaimed quietly. I shook my head again. "Sara... This doesn't make sense. I'm sure Alyss is smart enough to realize that the person whom she's forgetting can't of have been in the hospital if he was with her the night she lost her memory." She rolled her eyes. "Amnesia duh.. She can't remember that. But he looks so much like you I think thats why she would make that mistake." I opened my mouth to retort, but she silenced me. "Let's get closer" Sara mouthed. I nodded and we walked forward until we could hear them talking. "... don't know.." "About what?" "Well.." Alyss seemed hesitant. "That boy who ran away... seemed so.. nostalgic. Like.. Like I know him. His room plate said 'Tetsuya'. " She shook her head. "Am I crazy?" I stood up, ready to tell her the truth, but Sara pulled me down. "What the hell Sara?!" I whispered a little loud. "Want to blow our cover?!" I thought about it, and continued watching them. "I think... You are babe. You've never met him so you can't of." I felt anger surging through me. Sara giggled. "Haha.... so he calls her 'babe' ..." She clapped a hand over her mouth to stop the giggles. "But I had amnesia!" Alyss protested."You wouldn't know who I know and don't know..!" Sara stopped. "That's my line." she whispered proudly. "Maybe this will make you remember that I do know.." They leaned in close. I was angry already. I just couldn't take it anymore. I stormed towards them and pulled their heads apart. "Hey..!" Alyss looked at me with a blank expression. "It's you.." She whispered, part angry, part curious. "You..!" I pulled the boy up from his chair. "Mark..!" Alyss reached her hand out to pull him towards her but I pulled him closer to me. "Who the hell do you think you are?!" "I'll tell you what I think alright. I think your a sniveling idiot." "No.. I'll tell you everything." Sara had walked out from our hiding place, smiling mischievously. "Sara..?" Alyss was confused. She obviously had no idea what was going on. "I have a plan. To make sure you end up with your real loved one." Sara nodded at me. "A quiz of what she remembers. Limit of time is from two years ago, the day the two met.." She nodded at me again. "And to the present. First to 10 points. What do you think?" "I think it's a great idea Sara." Alyss beamed at her friend. How the truth would be found out? I remembered. Everything that had to do with Alyss. That's how much I cared, and thats how much I needed her. Against someone who could trick her, it was only a 50/50 chance of winning. "Let's begin!" Sara shouted. Faces stared at her. "Oh..! Sorry..!" She shouted. Alyss and I laughed and stopped abruptly seeing each other laugh. The games will begin, and the truth will pour out like a vase full of water that has been cracked.

    Chapter 23 - Sara
    The aim of the game

The aim of the game was to get Tetsuya to answer every single little detail right. Things that 'Mark' wouldn't know. I gazed at them both intensely, and saw sweat droplets on Tetsuya's forehead. I hid a smirk, and nodded at Alyss to begin. "Allow me.. and Sara... To ask questions." Alyss and I nodded at each other. "Sara first." I beamed. "Day and month Alyss met... er.." I glanced at Tetsuya. "One of you.." I finished. Tetsuya slapped the table hard, making an ear splitting noise, and answered the question. "September 9, Wednesday." he said firmly. I nodded. Alyss drew a line under Tetsuya's name on our little portable white board. I saw Alyss glance worriedly at Mark. At this time, I noticed a rope hanging on his belt, hidden under his shirt. He caught me looking, and I quickly smiled and waved, then turned around a little disgusted. "Next question.." I said loudly. " Favorite book?" Alyss loved books, so it would be hard to know. Tetsuya slammed the table again. "Quotations of a Rainbow." I glanced at Tetsuya. I squinted my eyes to say, 'What?' Tetsuya shook his head meaning, 'Nows not the time.' "Agh.... Alyss how do you remember these useless stuff and not remember.." I gestured my arm towards Tetsuya and Mark. "One of them.." Alyss glanced at Mark. "Is in each of the memories.." I sighed deeply. This is going to take long.. On the 10th question, score 10-0, I took a deep, deep breath. "Next Q!" I fixed my gaze onto Mark this time. "What day did she lose her memory. Both Mark and Tetsuya slammed the table. Tetsuya clenched his teeth at the other boy. "Give him a chance. You've answered two so give him the chance." I said gently. Tetsuya backed off. Only a bit. He never let his guard down. "The.. The night.." Mark stuttered. "The night we.. the night we had.. a... a.. a sle- no wait wait.." Tetsuya and I rolled our eyes in unison. "The night we left school late because of an experiment.." Mark stated. I shook my head. 'Pathetic. You think you nailed that didn't you? Well I was there and so was Te-" "What really happened.." Tetsuya interrupted. "Is the truth of Sara." I nodded in approval. "Alyss.. This boy.." I gestured to Mark. "Has told you all lies." She shook her head frantically. "No way..!" And ran. Mark and I ran after her, as Tetsuya sat down, clearly exhausted. "Which way did he go?!" "This way!" He ran perfectly. Without the crutches he was quick. We ran through a door and into a dead end. "Oh.. My bad.." He looked meaningfully at me. He closed and locked the door. "What are y-?!" The rest was black..

"Good.. evening." My side felt sore. I couldn't move. "What the fu-" "Shut up.." he whispered. "Your mine tonight." I had a sudden flashback. A flashback of the park. "Pay me." I automatically said. "Cig's for.." He took out a pack and handed it to me. "Do as you please." I know. It was wrong. But I couldn't stand it. "Then follow my lead.."He untied me, then cut the rope into four long pieces. He tied my arms to poles and my legs to heavy loaded boxes so I was sprawled on the ground. Clothes put aside, the 'transaction' began. "Say 'Punish me, sir.' " "Punish me, sir." I whispered silently. He had heard me. So he punished me. Not a punishment, but a guilty pleasure. A rondo of kisses. I realized the sensation. The sensation I only felt.. When I was high. I struggled with the ropes. "You can't escape. Sucks for you.. A whole lot." He steadied his gaze on my mouth and kissed me intensely. I was high. He had given me drugs while knocked out. I was so high, I guessed I had no escape, and I suddenly caught his drift. I looked into his blank eyes, that looked not blue, but grey. "Please..! No..!" I screamed. I closed my eyes. "Do it." he commanded. I had to. I agreed."Alyss..... I'm sorry.. " I whispered. I continued, and he let me put on my clothes. "Good session. Again..?" He grinned perversely, looking at my chest. I blushed and covered. "No way." I stormed out, red in the face, hair messed up. I saw Tetsuya and Alyss. Tetsuya and Mark glared at each other. Their gazes piercing one another. I took Alyss' hand and pulled her away for cover. "What the hell did you do to her?!" Tetsuya said angrily. Mark grinned devilishly. "She payed me. Great.. session right?" He looked at me and I shook my head. "He... He..!" I realized he was the one in the park. The one who had a rope and drugs handy. It was him. I had been mislead all this time. As I heard the rain pound, Alyss teared. "Please.. stop..!" "Alyss.." Tetsuya looked angrily at Alyss, but it was somewhat calm. Mark took this opportunity to punch him in the face, letting him fall to the ground. "Stop!" Alyss cried. "Please..! I remember now!" she yelled.

    Chapter 24 - Alyss
Fight to the finish. Is it over?

"Stop!" I cried. I watched them fight. Fighting to the finish. I realized that it was Tetsuya. Tetsuya is the boy whom I love dearly. Not Mark. Not the man who conned me out of my will. "Please...! Ah..!" Blood splatted onto my shirt. Tetsuya coughed blood. Sara pulled me further and further away. "Don't!" I screamed. "Stop pulling me away from him!" I struggled to get away from Sara's grasp. "Hold.. on..!" I kept struggling. "Go to hell!" I could hear Tetsuya's screams and Mark's too. "How is it that no one is in the hospital at the moment?!" "Its.. 1:13." Sara replied dully. I sobbed loudly. I sobbed so loud, I could hardly hear them now. "Get... hell... from..!" I heard Tetsuya yell. "Well.. you! .... die!" I heard Tetsuya yell and escaped from Sara's grasp. "Tetsuya...!" I yelled. There was no reply. I could hear Sara running towards me. "Alyss! Stop!" I reached the fighting hall. Mark was running for it, and I cried at Tetsuya's side. He was unconscious, blood coming from his mouth, and his body was sprawled on the ground. "Someone.. HELP US!" "Alyss!" Sara came running. I looked at her, knowing my face was a mess. "Tetsuya..?! Tetsuya?!?!? TETSUYA?!?!" she yelled. "Carry and run to the emergency room! Now!" I carried and cried as I looked back at the scene where all of Tetsuya's blood was.
    ~*~*~*~*~
Beep... Beep.. The noise kept going as Sara and I sat by Tetsuya's side, crying silently alone. I looked out to the gloomy morning. "I haven't..." I yawned. "Slept in about 23 hours..." "Me either. I'll.. find a room to sleep in." Sara left swiftly without another word. I knew she wanted to cry alone. Loudly at that. I just didn't want to leave Tetsuya's side. "Tetsuya... Don't.. leave me..." A teardrop rolled down my cheek as I fell asleep. I dreamed I was in the hospital still. Tetsuya woke up and stroked my hair saying, "Alyss... I'm okay.. I could never leave you. Your mine.. I'm yours.. We'll never be separated.. Just.. wake up.." At his command I woke up. My eyes slowly woke up, hoping my dream was a reality. I heard humming and sat up straight. I looked at Tetsuya, who was glancing out the window, humming a sweet melody. "What are you humming?" I asked. He looked at me, surprised but relieved. "It's.. a song I heard at an in service.." He looked at the window again, his face clearly red. "Oh.. sorry.. You must of thought I was asleep. I smiled. "Sing it to me." He looked at me. "Are you sure..?" I knew Tetsuya had a good singing voice. It was amazing, actually. He was really into music so of course his voice was as good as a singer. He never cracked. He always reached the high notes. And he always got a lead in the plays. "It's called Children are the Future of the World. Heard of it?" I nodded. "I was at that in service too." "Then sing it with me. It's hard alone." He grinned at me, and I couldn't help but smile too. We walked down the halls. It was 7 AM and no one was awake. I saw no doctors bustling around. It was still raining. He held my hand tightly. Tetsuya hummed the introduction.
"If we listen to the melody we sing...
You will hear the simple message that we bring..
You can see it in our eyes..
You can hear it in our song.
Children are the future of the world..
" The rain let up to just clouds. We smiled at each other, not realized Sara's presence. Until she joined in. I hummed the parts I didn't know and continued.
".. We will sing a song of peace
We will sing it loud and strong
Children are the future of the world..
We will sing a song of peace..
We will sing it loud and strong
Children are the future of the world
We are the future of the world...
    "
A rainbow grew in the sky, the colors shining brightly. "No color should be a favorite one because more then one color make up the rainbow..." I quoted. "And a rainbow is beautiful because of the colors. Choosing just one ruins the beauty, and that's just not fair." Tetsuya finished. "You guys..!" Sara put her arms around us. "Your right. We're like the rainbow. Different but beautiful all together. And thats what makes the world.. The world." We laughed and smiled as we walked to my house. My home. And Sara's new home. Because the fight is finished. With everything coming back... I could feel a new beginning coming on.
