• Walking above the water, but drowning inside the sand. My time is running out, but what if it never did start? My head, my mind is spinning I hate myself for what I did. I wasn’t ready for what had happen. I will always regret it. I will blame it on somebody, that isn’t or wasn’t trust worthy. Someone who doesn’t deserve to live…. Like me.

    Cabe P.O.V

I’ve been flying for so long I lost track of time. I looked down at the ground below.

“Yes this is it.” I fly down on the sand grabbing my pendent then changing into a teen. I sighed, “Now time to find her before another stunt.” I run off into my old little town Eureka, Nevada. As I got near the people I slowed up, looking for her.

I tried to remember where she lived, but it’s been so long-I soon heard sirens.

I looked, and saw the ambulance. “Maria”? I whispered to myself smelling her blood. It was very strong she must have lost a lot. “No”! I almost yelled running to

The red flashing vehicle. (Please don’t let me be to late she’s not supposed to die yet.) I got to the hospital before the ambulance. I waited. No, no, no, don’t let this happen. I paced back, and forward. I heard them, and I looked upped to see them getting her out. I ran to her side. I ran to them. “Whoa, who are you”? The man-nurse said trying to push me back. “I’m a family friend.” I rushed out grabbing on to the rail to walk along side of her. She changed over the years. Her soft brown tan was now a soft pale white. She was wearing a white cotton summer dress you’ll find in the early 1900’s, it was the only thing she seems to be wearing, and it went right blow her knees. Well just like then she still beautiful, but I could smell, and see the giant blood stain on her cotton dress.

“Sir, we have to get to this patient she did more damage than we thought. I looked at the woman.”Can I please stay; I will not be of a disturbance. I begged.

I did not want to leave her side when I just found her. The nurse gave an apologetic smile. “I’m sorry.” I walked out the room sitting crisis-cross on the floor outside the door. This was not how I would have picture my coming.

Well I knew I wasn’t here to live again, and I also knew that I came here because something was going very wrong with her. I was so caught up in my thoughts next time I looked up I saw the nurse with a purple jacket on shaking me awake. “Yes.” I said calmly. “She had a frown on her face, but it cleared when she started at me for a few minutes. I smiled dazzling her on purposed.

“Um…” She hesitated. I stood up. “Yes I will be staying the night”. I turned to the door turning the knob. “Wait” whispered the nurse she got a firm face.

“Yes “I said not being shocked by it. She looked at me then started at something at a distance. “Yes”? I said getting impatient. “Don’t wake her up, and, she looked down, don’t let her escape. My eyes grew wide. “Escape? why would-how can she do that?” She kept her eyes on the floor. “When she wakes up here she always somehow gets up, and just walks away without anyone noticing. I looked through the little window to see if she was still asleep. She was, but something seems to be bothering her. “Ok I’ll keep an eye out.”

An I twisted the knob to the door to go inside. It was dead silent when I closed the door. I walked over to a chair, and pulled it next to the bed.

I watched her as she slept. I smiled at her smooth facial features, but I saw a tear fall down her soft cheek. I frowned, and wiped the tear away. She soon gasped in the air, and she shot up looking at me. I was shocked by how fast she was, but I remember how fast she ran when we used to race. My eyes went to the floor. I could hear her heavy breathing. Is this how she breaths now. I looked up at her. Her eyes were still on me .I looked at her eyes they were the same, but they were so different from the last time I saw them. They were the same color, but the purpose in them now the goal. It it’s different it’s evil to me for what her new goal is. I had to look away. “Who…are...you?” Her voice like just like a cold refreshing breeze blowing on the grass. At least her voice was the same.

I smiled at her. “You’ve forgotten me already?” She looked at me confused. I smiled at her. “Oh come on, you have to remember?” She still looked confused. I frowned. “Fine let refresh your memory.” I took a deep breath, and put my face a few inches from her face. She still looked confused, but she was backing up blushing a little. I pulled my face closer, and she backed up farther blushing more. I smiled child-like and came close enough for our nose to touch. I was coming even closer until…”STOP IT CABE!!” She tried to push me right then, but it didn’t work, and she pushed herself back into the bed. I laughed like I did back then.”See I knew you would remember”. She didn’t smile, but she was crying.

I looked at her with sympathy. “What’s wrong M?” She looked down still tears dropping from her cheeks. “What is it?” She looked at me with her watery eyes. “What…took you so long?” I looked at her confused. “What do you mean? You knew I was coming?” She didn’t nod or anything she just throws her arms out, and hugged me. I smiled, and hugged her back. I looked at her arm. It was covered scratches, and scars. I pulled her off. “What’s this?” I hold her arm, and pointed to the giant scar that covered almost her whole arm. “That?” She said with disgust. She glared at it like it could disappear. “Yea that, I released her arm, you going emo on me? She shook her head. ‘No I’m not emo what would give you that idea do fuss? I smiled, and lightly hit her on the side of the head.”You’re still insulting me?” She laughed, and copied me. “Yes dum, dum.She flashed her old child smiled I missed so much. I sat back down looking at her smiling. She was smiling at me, but getting up. “Whoa, whoa you can’t get up?” She looked at me silly. “Why? I picked her up, and sat her down back in the bed. “Hey! Butthole I’m fine! She got back up, but I put her back own in a second. Her eyes widen. “Did you get fast over the years?” She looked at me sitting on the bed. I smiled. “Uh-well, you can say that?” She smirked. “Uh-well I got faster too.” I looked at her in pity. “Faster than me? I highly doubt that.” She smirked again. I highly doubt that you would stop saying that. She got up then jumped off the bed, and ran to the door, and was about to turn the knob, but I pushed it closed. She still tried to open it again. She struggled, and I laughed. She looked up at me, and flicked me on the forehead. I laughed harder, but she put her fingers to my lips. I looked at her, and smiled. She rolled her eyes, and walked off. “Why you do that?” She turned around, and put her hands on her hips.”You were laughing too loud.”She rolled her eyes then smiled.”You would always do that.” She walked to the window, and opened it. I frowned, and got in front of her. “M, this is really getting annoying. “She looked at me, and backed away. “Then just stop blocking me. I want to leave” “Why?” She looked around the room. “Maria”. I grabbed her chin to face me.”Watch it Cabe” She dunged her Sharpe nails into my skin. It didn’t hurt, but I let go anyway. She smile, and slip around me to the window. I turned around to see that she was already outside. Her face came down, and she looked at me. “You’re coming or not?” I smiled, and turned the other direction. “Hey where you-“. “I’ll see you at your house.” I interrupted, and ran out the hospital.
